IrisI am awake, but refuse to open my eyes just yet - I love the way sunlight looks through my eyelids. It's a comfortable warm red glow, the colour of blood, of life. It's a wonderfully cosy feeling but I know there are more colours out there, so I raise my head and look around. I am not disappointed. The field is just as I remembered it, all ablaze with hues and shades; a wave of spring flowers is to blame for this. I spent the night at the base of a tree at the edge of it all, its branches hung with brilliant fruit. This field is my home. I hatched from my egg here, and I brought myself up here. I sometimes wish the flowers would talk back. Filled with a deep sense of affection for my surroundings, I rise from my bed and shake myself out, starting with my mane, then my legs, and finally my tail. It feels so good to stretch!

They Call Me, RainbowButt. Trample on, little pony, Trample on. This is how I spend my wonderful bubbly days here in this open grass field, Showing off how lovely my iridescent hide sparkles in the sun. I Inhaled, taking in the sweet particles around me, they flew into my lungs were they were held captive- being turned into something dreadful and poisonous in the end. When I released them, they cackle and fly out to then be gobbled up by the trees. What short life they have, And with that, I fade away from my scene and into the open. My fore-pistons tore at the sod, ripping from it a speck or two, that lodged itself between my toes. The earth felt lovely as I tore across it like a blinding streak of color, Today was a good day for a run. My hindquarters contracted and shot me forward again as I turned up my pace. Something dark and shiny was up ahead as I snaked my way across the open field.
My hind end sank into the ground as I slid to a halt a bit before it. Twin pillars slid forward in attempts to catch anything audible that would aid me to question this subject. Hmm, What have we here? A Marise? Snicker sliped from my mug and skipped across the distance. I cocked my head to the side and lashed out with my foreleg, scream ripped forth my maw. What are you doing here? I stared at her from afar, Lashing at the earth, the nape of my neck was exposed and I brought my nose to my breast. I liked to show of my masculinity, and this is how I do it. Do you like what you see? Heh. I paused, taking a few paces to the side, then looked over in her direction once more, twin pillars fully erect atop my skull as I encroached a little more. Gaining ground on her would be easy, But I don't wish to scare you, Much.
" Hello poppet..."
I cooed. Grin attached itself to my mug. What will you do little girlie?

Iris The gentle morning is interrupted by loud rustling sounds and a call, and I turn to see another of my kind, except male, and whitish. He glitters very nicely in the sun. I watch him flop about like a misplaced fish politely - he probably thinks it makes him look good, and I am very tempted to laugh... but it's nice to find someone else in the fields and I don't want to upset a potential friend. " Er," I mumble as he greets me; I am wondering what would be the politest way to tell him he has flower petals snagged in his mane and tail. " Good morning. What's a poppet?"

They Call Me, RainbowButt.
I am quite appalled that you think I am a loud, bumbling brute. Gee thanks, You're just too kind. Snort ripped forth my nares. Really now? No matter how it is said, A greeting is a greeting. Easy? Perhaps. Bros gotta have their hoes, It made me smile inside. Twin pillars atop my skull withdrew back and flattened against my silken mane. Offended? Yes I am. I can tell from her vibes that I'm nothing more than a silly fish gasping for air wading into its death. My blood ran cold, fading into the black gaping hole I had for a heart. The pulsing stopped and I lifted my skull to meet her line of sight. Whipchord lashed across my flank, It stung, and I enjoyed it.
"You.."
I spat the words out of my mouth like sour milk on a warm day. It wasn't such a good morning anymore, I had hoped that altering my coarse to see this mare would be worthwhile- but it hasn't.
"Whats your name mare?"
I'm not politest stud you will meet.

Iris I tilt my head to the side, wondering what is wrong with the stallion in front of me. One minute he's dancing about, all showy and glowy and joyful; I tell him good morning and he goes psychotic. And he still has petals in his hair. " I'm Iris," I declare, cheerful as you please. It'll take way more than one stallion with a giant ego to get me down today. The weather's nice, the flowers are blooming, and I'm fascinated by the rainbows the light makes on his body. I step a little closer to him to take a proper look at them, and the effect of moving towards him is dazzling. " And what's your name, rainbowbutt?" I wonder if he realises the joke, and pointedly swish my tail about to show him.

They Call Me, RainbowButt.
I have a smug look upon my mug, I enjoy its warming company as I deal with others like I please. I have less and less consideration with those around me, It can take one word for me to dislike you in an instant. Carbon dioxide enters my nares, flowing down into my innards, melting into the soft mushy walls of my lungs. Filling my blood with life and movement, then excreting into a deadly gas. I love the fact that I could kill someone with my breath given enough time to compensate how to do it. Watching them suffocate like fish do in our world. A sly smirk appears on my mask as I take notice to her eyes wandering down my rainbowflank. My ego twitches a little bit and starts to yearn for more. Not my fault, Its entirely yours little missy. Iris as you say. I guess it fits.
Twin pillars upon my cranium capture her sweet reverberations the rolled of her tongue in such a light and joking mood. I'm not one to joke about how awesome and magnificent my hide seems to be. It glistens more than yours does. Rainbowbutt? Really?
"I'm sorry to bust your day, Iris, but I would gladly have you look at your own flank before labeling mine as so."
I smirked.
"Chevy, that is what I'm referred to as in a more formal fashion, M'lady."
Today I felt a bit more witty than usual. My ego felt it to, It started to latch upon what morals I had for respecting others than myself. It whined and complained and through a hissy fit. But soon it went back to the little b***h it was and settled back into it's place. I sighed and glanced sideways at her. I am beginning to be in a playful mood.

Iris It appears I got too close when he spoke. My eyes water a little, and this time not from the light glancing off his hide. Goddess above! What is with this guy's breath? And if the stuff coming out of his mouth smells this bad, what about the other end? I duck my nose into the sweet flowers and inhale deeply several times, tail waving high over my back. Bad breath or not, I'm still listening when he speaks. " Oh, drop the formalities," I mumble into the grass, grateful that he can't see me blush. Lady indeed. Somebody was coming on a little strong here. " Nice to meet you, Chevy.
I, uh... hm." Without lifting my head from the flowers in case he spoke again, I look up at his face. " Actually, I just woke up. Food time for me. You hungry?"

They Call Me, RainbowButt.
What the ******** is this? A flower sniffing party? Oh Hell no will I submerse my mug into those pollen infested smelly tidbits of a plant. Not to mention the aphids don't take kindly to my nose. I stared down at her from a bit a way like I always have been, Twin pillars flicked back again then one forward as I Now carried my massive frame towards to flower obsessed vixen. I stop a good stride away from her. She spoke to the earth, Not me. I stared at her. I find this very rude. Pillars caressed the base of my neck as I grew tired of trying to understand her.
"Seriously, either start yelling or pull your head out of the flowers so I can understand you properly."
I gave off a look of sheer annoyance.
"Mop the mentalities? Great poo shurvy? And I definitely did not get the last thing you spoke of."
One thing I hated was asking someone to repeat themselves.

Iris I'm not really paying attention to what Chevy is saying anymore: the stink. Is. Overwhelming. I back up a little before raising my head, so I'm well out of range of the killer breath. " I have... uh... some things to take care off. Wait for me here, mmkay?" With that, I gallop cheerfully off into the woods where the meadow ends, taking a twisting turning path that loops and turns on itself. He won't be tracking this mare anytime soon, oh no. With luck he'll be gone from my home by evening, and I'll go back to bed down again. For now, I've had enough of visitors for one day. -FINIS-
