Ninde'Giliath was quite the pretty little cheeton... and he knew it. Of course, he was also completely convinced that he was a girl like all the rest of his siblings. And that his longer 'mane' was just... some kind of oddity. It made him prettier in his opinion. Smiling and humming softly to himself, the little Juve wandered along - away from the cave his family was staying in at the moment.
Just out for a stroll, really ... exploring, seeing what he could see. It was nice out at this time, the stars just starting to peek down from above. He loved how his pelt matched the sky, too. That also made him pretty...

Kaiolohia was quiet as she stumbled along. Her physical injuries from Mafahali's attack had mostly healed, but she was still frightened. Every long shadow looked like something ready to attack and she constantly flinched at even the softest sound. The leopardness could swear that she could even hear the gently padding of giant paws behind her, but whenever she whipped around to look, there was never anyone there.
That's why when her gaze fell upon a smaller, dark form moving amongst the shadows, the adolesant let out a soft squeak of surprise and fear, then crouched down in the grass, trying to hide herself.

Gil blinked at hearing that squeak and glanced up from his wandering to see a rather pale form trying unsuccessfully to hide in the grass up ahead. He tilted head a bit and then called out, "Hello!"
Though his pelt was dark, it was also studded with stars and other markings and his voice was young, a bit high-pitched and friendly. "Who are you?"

The leopardess's ears flicked back against her head as she was noticed as slowly sat up. "H-Hello." She stuttered as she looked up at Gil. "I'm Kaiolohia." The feline replied quietly, her muscles tensed. This new male was about her size, but not near as muscular as her. She'd fight him if she had to.

"Kaiolohia," Gil repeated with a little tilt of his head and then a quick nod. "Kaio, then?" It was a bit of a habit of his, to shorten long names of others - much as he'd shortened his own in his head.
"What are you doing, trying to hide...?" he asked, padding a little closer. "Isn't that kind of hard?" After all, she didn't have a lovely nice dark coat like he did!

Obviously, her caution was lost on this male. The leopardess stood up, forcing herself not to take a step back as he moved closer. He couldn't be that much of a threat... "Well, it can be d-dangerous out here, so y-yes. I was h-hiding. I d-didn't know if you were da-dangerous or not." She sighed, trying to calm her racing heart. "What's y-your name?" Kaio added, eyeing the young male.

Goodness, but she stuttered a lot! Gil blinked at the other female, blue eyes wide and innocent. How could she possibly think that he might be dangerous! "Oh no! I'm not dangerous at all, you don't have to worry about me," he assured her with a little purr.
"Anyway, I ... I'm sorry to say it, but your fur is entirely the wrong color to be hiding from others at this time of day." This he said in an almost conspiratorial "girl-talk" fashion. "But at any rate, my name is Ninde'Giliath, but if you like you can just call me Gil."

Kaiolohia stared at the strange male, but his straight forward attitude made her laugh softly. "T-Thank you. I never would have known if it weren't for you." She replied, her stutter fading as she slowly realized that he wasn't a thread. "My name is Kaiolohia, but you may call me Kaio. It's nice to meet you Gil." She smiled at the other and sat up, flickering her tail around. "You're not out here by yourself, are you?"

Gil thought about that question for a moment or two - considering what the best answer might be. "Well ... right now I'm by myself, but my family's not too far away." He smiled and bobbed his head a little. "So there's no real need to worry about me."
"What about you? Is your family close by?" If they were... maybe he could meet up with Kaio again sometime! It would be so nice to have female friends other than his sisters...

"Ah. It's always a good idea to have someone around to watch you." She said softly with a smile before she shook her own head. "No, they're not. I went off to explore on my own and left them behind, but now I'm trying to head back to them. I miss them." The leopard's expression had changed to a sad frown as she looked off to the distance and thought of how long it would take to get back to her childhood home. Suddenly she looked back to Gil and smiled again, changing the subject back to him as she asked, "So what's your family like?"

Gil made a bit of a face at that, swishing his tail back and forth a couple of times. "Oh, I've got sisters... they make fun of me a lot. But..." And here, he leaned in closer like he was telling her a secret. "I think that's just because I'm prettier than they are."

Kaio couldn't help the soft laugh. "Oh? Is that so? Well it's probably t-true. You do have quite the mane." She stated warmly. "I'm s-sure that even if they tease you they still l-love you. Siblings get better once you're older." She curled her tail tightly around herself as she sat up to watch the male. "You should m-make sure you keep them close. You'll regret it l-later if you don't."

"Well..." Gil murmured softly. "Maybe. But I think sometime I might go off on my own. Not now, but later. I'd like to see more of the world, I think." Smiling, he tilted head at the other female. "What about you? Have you been to many different places?"

"No," She replied as she shook her head. "I mean, I've wandered some, but not enough to call it a lot. I just recently left my family but I already miss them so much that I'm heading back home. I think you have to either like being alone to travel or find a friend that will travel with you." Having a friend along would have been nice, the leopardess thought to herself before smiling and looking back at the male. "I would like to see mountains some day though, so maybe I'll travel more and go see them. But later on in my life when I've got a friend that won't mind coming with me. You know?"

Gil's eyes widened a bit at that. "Mountains would be really fun to see," he admitted, nodding. "I don't think I'd miss my sisters if I left though. Yech."
