hey, i know i'm new to this guild and all but izzy told me all about it and said i should post my annoying advice stress crap here so here goes:
kay i'm single now (most horrible breakup with my girl ever) and we've both started looking for other people... well here's my problem- i don't have Gaydar.
yeah i know sounds stupid and fake but it's true, i can't tell a gay girl from a straight one in a crowd.. it SUX big time..
Any advice on how i can fix that or any hints as to what i should be looking for?

gaydar isn't natural, it's acquired after years of knowing gay people. trust me on that one! even I don't have gay dar and i've been gay... FOREVER! so yeah, the only way to know FOR SURE is if they tell you. however some helpful hints are actually stereotypes. i assume you aren't looking for guy gaydar (which is a hell of a lot easier to get) so here's all i can say for girls.
they're usually in contact sports. look at basketball or field hockey or soccer. there's no band one... then there's always they dress like guys, but that's not entirely true (god, some of the hottest ones dress girly) but really, the only way to know for certain is if they tell you or if you just find out. =/

i have the same exact problem and it sucks because i never know but im to nervouse or don't know how to ask them which really is hard. i can only pretty much always tell if guys are but hardly ever girls sad

i know what you mean. Wish i had a gaydar, but alas i don't.
Actually, not true. I can tell when a guy is gay, but what good is this for me!!!!! The lessie gaydar is basically stuffed.
Which sucks, cause i really want a girlfriend.
Anyway, i do have some advice. How did you go about meeting your last girlfriend? Maybe it would work again this time. Who knows.

Gaydar is when you can tell if a person is Gay/Les/Bi [[or anywhere in that category]] when you first see them

Dude. Im tottally the same way. Im bi, and have no gaydar what-so-ever. two of my close friends just informed me that they are gay as well, and i NEVER saw it coming.

Gaydar can be wrong, I grew up around gay people, that's 21 years of knowing them, and I still can be wrong because sometimes you are just unsure.
The only way to know for sure is to ask.
Try and find a gay bar in your area or a LGBTQ support group.

I find girl gaydar only works if you actually talk to them. Use EXTREMELY SUBTLE FLIRTING. If she notices, and flirts back... probably gay or bi. Or, at least, not going to freak out.

heart ninja heart lol, at first I thought you meant gaydar for guys xD Hm.....well don't walk up to a random group and start flirting, especially if you know them. If their straight, they'll suspect that you're not and well if you're still in the closet word will get out fast.

There are gay bars across the country, go to one. Find a girl thats nt with another chick, or thats not being romantic with another chick at least.
