I need to downsize because i am having less time at home, and the time i am at home i am taking care of my reptiles and mice. So I want to set up a shrimp and snail tank soonish. But i was just curious what i might have to do daily?

i think daily
just get a turkey baster
and suck up any waste on the bottom and replace the water. thats what i do to my 3 gallon tank everyday (especially after feedings)

I would think daily, or every other day. They have small five gallon and under siphons if you do not wish to use a turkey baster as well.

Neat. Will right now i have a pickle jar with pond snails XD. only like 2-3. Im not sure. But it seems to be doing alright. Its kinda grown into an eco system type thing. :3 except i add algae wafers every week. or so. Plus two small java ferns and some Java moss.

I want some daphnia (sp?) but i haven't been able to find any. Or maybe some liveblood worms. That would be neat.

It depends on the types of snails and shrimp. You need small ones that stay small, and preferably shrimp that won't breed like crazy.

I have a betta and common pond snails (aka yummy puffer food) in a 2.5 and it's as easy as everyone says. I just use a turkey baster to get all the gross stuff out, top up the water when it needs topping up, and change half the water every week on tank change day. I have a Whisper 3i Internal filter in it. Its quiet, works good and it was cheap. So far the tank is working out well and the snails are growing and breeding.
