Plotted RP with Heath and Obediah

Possible and probable entries by Toldëa and Emery and anyone else we see fit. :]

This RP is a PRP between Melomar and Little Fishy and we probably won't require any assistance.

Small note: Demi is made up. Not actual hybrid.

PLOT for Mel & Fish future reference:

Tol & Heath are from an agency where Obi was able to hire them as personal bodyguards. Obi needs them because his anti-fans' antics were beginning to escalate and he had a trip planned overseas to Madrid, Spain where it wouldn't hurt to have a bodyguard if he wanted to go exploring. While away, he had a break out movie where he has a part and becomes famous. The 'temp job' turns into full time if Heath and Tol accept.

Obi finds Heath and Tol and hand picks them after given the name of the agency from his agent who highly recommends it and recommends Tol and Heath. In the end, the final straw for Obi is during a cross fire while out in public with Heath and Tol. Later he quits modeling and being 'famous' in general because he's fed up with all the crap.

While at shows, Obi is oblivious to dangers that Heath can help take care of without a huge scene. Obi and Tol take a bullet in the cross fire so Em and Obi can nurse them back to health.

Obediah sighed as he relaxed in one of the comfy chairs in his agent's office. They had to 'have a talk'. They were planning a show soon that was going to be in Spain. Apparently it could be dangerous so his agent had went out to find an agency that provided bodyguards or something.

The agent watched as Obi entered the room and smiled, "Obediah. Good. Right on time." The cat purred a bit and moved to get the rat a glass of water and took it over to him along with a business card in the other hand.

Obi took the drink and raised it to his lips for a sip and taking the card. Swallowing he looked at the card then the cat. "What's this?"

The cat purred lightly, "It is the agency that will be providing you with a bodyguard. Or two." He gave a nod, "We have a lunch date in thirty minutes with them. Shall we get going?"

-----------------------

The rat hybrid pulled off his sunglasses when the entered the restaurant. He and the cat were lead to a particularly secluded area and he spotted a snazzily dressed man waiting at a table for three. His tail flicked behind him a little as they approached. He was greeted and his chair pulled out as he sat. This was an okay agency; he could stick with these guys.

The lunch conversation was full of fine details that the rat didn't really care to know; it was why he had an agent, right? He munched on his lunch only half listening. The food was pretty good here....

---------------------

After lunch, the rat was dragged off to supposedly 'hand pick' his new body guards. He couldn't decide if it would be fun or not... They had gone to what looked like a normal office within a skyscraper setup. He smirked and thought, no one would know it was here unless they had been told, as he looked around curiously. This was awesome!

((Just as a note, Tol's species was never determined so for RP purposes Fishy and I have agreed that he should be a naga: lower half is snakey. Runner up species was a spider though. ;3 ))

Obi and his agent were shown to a large board room full of men. Some wore suits, some looked like they had thrown a blazer over grungy clothes, and others just had not bothered with a "take me as/is I get the job done without flair" attitude.

The man whom had met them for lunch stepped aside. "Now you can interview these men individually, as a group, or make your decision however you'd like." He stuck around, leaning against the wall next to the door, to oversee things.

A sprinkling of conversation could be heard, as well as a snicker or two. One man leaning against the wall with surly posturing eyed some lucky guy's new employer. He was easy on the eyes, but Heath knew the type; Obediah would be spoiled, stubborn, and bitchy. Not fun to work with. The paycheck might make up for it though...

He glanced into one corner. Though the room was well-lit this section of the back wall seemed almost perpetually hidden in shadow. This was due to a gloomy aura put off by one of his associates.

Toldëa curled up on himself. He did not want to be here but he had been asked specifically to come in today. He had no idea it was for such a stupid reason. However... bodyguarding an asinine but more-or-less innocent person was a nice change from murder for hire. So he loomed a little taller; he was torn between wanting to scare Obi away and wanting to do something a little nobler than what he was used to.

Before reaching the room, he was given yet again, the 'run down' on how things would work. All he could do was yawn and sigh. What did they think? He was stupid? Because he didn't get it the first dozen times? Just because he was a model didn't mean he was a total airhead. Most of the time.

The rat glanced around the room curiously; it was quite the mixture of people that had gathered. He glanced at his agent who was starting to pull out papers, lots of them and frowned. "What are those for?"

"For interviewing. It's questions for all the possible candidates-- Hey! Obi!"

Obi had already moved on and scouted around curiously. He had his arms folded in front of him as he looked at some of the guys sitting around, though there were a couple that caught his eye. He moved towards the lone ranger cowboy looking ox. He paused in front of him and stared for a moment, then turned to the cat, "This one!"

The rat was pleased with himself as he offered a hand, "I'm Obediah; Obi for short. And the worrisome cat there, is my agent." Pick number one was done. But he was sure he was allowed two, for what they said tag team like aspect of some sort he didn't really care about or listen to.

The ox might have stood up straighter but he already was holding up the wall. So he unfolded his arms and tipped his wide-brimmed hat back. The way a single brow arched appeared to lift the hat almost as much as his fingers. He even received a couple snorts of disgust for Obi's choice. He apparently had an eye for something other than beauty.

He nodded to Obi with a naturally deep, scratchy voice. "Heath Lambert."

Obi didn't need another pretty boy on the team. Besides, weren't bodyguards supposed to be rough and tough? He smirked lightly. This guy seemed like he walked right out of a Clint Eastwood western. He was definitely going with the cowboy. " Good to meet you, Heath." He didn't suppose he had to go through all the formalities, since they'd probably already been briefed; nor would he have to ask if he wanted to work for him since he was standing here, in this room, among others who seemed to want the job.

He couldn't help but glance at the direction the snorts came from. More reason to pick him? As much as he was fascinated by the cowboy, he still had to pick one more.

The cat came over and looked at Heath curiously. Well, he seemed to fit the part, but he was surprised he'd pick someone so... rough. He shook it off and offered a hand, "Pleasure to meet you, Heath. Demi. If you come over here, we have a contract already drawn up. I just need your autograph for it." He gave a very agent-ly smile. He was good at woo'ing; he was good at his job.

Obi paused to look at a couple others and struck up small conversations, but continued on until he reached the very dark ominous corner. He quirked a brow and ventured forth, spotting the snake in the darkness. He smirked a little and canted his head. Yep. He needed tall, dark and scary, too. And boy was he scary. " ......... Demi," he pointed to Tol, "him, too. You said I could pick two right?"

The rat glanced back at Tol, never really having encountered a Naga before, but always a first right? Who knew they were so frightening? He offered up a rather dainty hand, though sure Tol had heard him talking to Heath, "Obi. I'm sure you're perfect for keeping away the anti-fans." He smirked. Something scarier than anti-fans; he loved it.

"And you as well, Obi," Heath nodded again. He smirked with total smugness at his colleagues while they conversed with Obi. However, he was lead away by the agent. He had done this before but it didn't make it any less tedious. "Yeah, I know the drill..."

Tol watched the rat speak with everyone else in the room. As usual he was going to be overlooked. It was nearly incomprehensible that Obi should stop let alone decide he was the right one for the job. In a way he really was the perfect man for the job. "I am certainly the dog with a worse bite than his bark," he hissed with dark amusement. He did not take the rat's hand; his was like a touch of death that he knew would disturb Obi even further. However, he did slip away from the model to loom over the agent silently.

((ahahaha xD Tol gets to go terrify the agent |D He's like super duper creepy right? >> ))

Demi had led Heath to a place to sit that had a table where he could sign the proper papers. He purred a little as he handed the papers to Heath and was in the middle of pointing out the highlighted X's that needed to be signed when he got a chill. "......." He paused to look over his shoulder and almost had a heart attack, having not heard the dark snake approach. Leave it to Obi to find the scariest one possible, too! Note to self: leave Obi out of any hiring processes.

The cat fidgeted then scooted to the side so Tol wasn't behind him and offered the seat next to Heath. "Please.... take a seat?" He wasn't sure the other would, since Nagas were rather large. Did they sit in chairs? He fumbled a little to pull papers out and setting them down so the snake could sign, too.

Obi was rather smug about his choices as he wandered to where they all were. They seemed like misfits, but they appeared to be the most interesting of the ones that were here. He moved to take a seat across the table from his new 'employees' and body guards. Well, maybe not his employees since the money mostly came out of the agency's pocket, but it was money he wasn't getting paid.

The rat dug in a bag that Demi had brought and pulled out a water bottle. He smirked at his agent, "What do you think?" he glanced back at Heath and Tol. "You two know each other?" His ears flicked as he uncapped the drink and took a sip; lots of water was good for one's skin.

(Freakishly creepy yes. This is why Em's bizarre attraction to him is...bizarre...um, yes. 8D <3 )

Heath's eyes rolled up as Tol's blackened air took up more of his vision: the snake had come to join them. The ox smirked and glanced over to the feline agent, whom had reacted rather predictably. When Tol finally took a seat he grinned and elbowed him. And when Obi sat across from them, he said, "This is Toldëa. We're as close to friends as you can get in a profession like this."

The naga's smirk was faint but visible and a little gloomy, especially when compared with his companion's smile. It was interesting that Obi had been able to choose a pair that really could work together as a team. Perhaps he was as they were: not simply what he appeared to be. He glanced over at Heath briefly; the ox had been watching Obi as well, but now looked down at his paper. Neither agent was in the habit of signing their names away without reading even the small print.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 05, 2010 8:32 pm

"Toldëa," the rat parroted. He pondered the name for a moment before lolling his head to look at Tol, "Can I call you Tol for short?" Nicknames. He loved nicknames. His eyes wandered to the cowboy though. He was offhandedly charming, actually, but he couldn't quite place his finger on why yet. Least they probably knew how to work as a pair since they were 'friends', but to Tol's curiosity, they would never know if Obi did it on purpose.

Demi cleared his throat at the question of Obi's choices and looked the two new bodyguards over. "Yes. They seem to be... quite a pair. Now on to the papers! Feel free to read everything; there is no rush." He leaned over and pointed to a couple spots, "Where I need signatures, there is a highlighted 'X'."

Tol glanced back up at Obi; he had a feeling the rat would call him by the shortened name regardless of permission.

"That's what most people call him," Heath smirked beside him, interrupting his thoughts. 'Most people' did not, however; they were afraid to call him by anything, let alone by a nickname. But why split hairs, really?

Rather than growl at his companion, the snake hissed softly, "Yess, you may call me that." When the agent explained the documentation, to the 'red x' detail he muttered under his breath, "That much is obvious..." He glanced up; the man whom had shown Obi and his agent in was now ushering the others outside.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 05, 2010 9:16 pm

Demi's ear flicked and frowned lightly at Tol's comment. "Right. Well..." He glanced at the agent who was ushering everyone out. "That should be all that needs to be done. We've already got arrangements for the two of you, for sleeping and living while we're on the road; everything will be paid for. We will be leaving for Spain in 48 hours." Obi didn't require the bodyguards yet, but when they left he would.

"You will be living in the same apartment that has three bedrooms. We will be in Spain for three weeks. Is there anything that you require, special wise, while we're on the road? Specific requests?" He looked between the two. Some had certain requests to make things easier; everyone is different.

Obi smirked. The cat was such a worry wart, but what the heck. It would be fun to have two 'friends' along this time. Pfft, yeah they were 'working' but he was planning on exploring while gone. He always did and this time would be no different. He glanced at Heath before leaning across the table a bit looking at him and asking quietly, "You know how to have fun, right?" He supposed he could just watch as Obi had fun; Tol on the other hand he didn't know if tall, dark and scary would do anything, besides being scary.

The cat frowned and gave a pointed look at Obi, "And we will be putting down some ground rules while we're there. I'm sure you two have done something similar before?" He looked back at the two across the table.

Heath tapped his lower lip with the pen provided to him. "Well, I'm vegetarian and he's a carnivore, I suppose that'd be fairly obvious..." he replied, thinking aloud.

Without looking up from his contract, Tol added, "Beyond that we'll compile lists of our supplies. We'll provide weapons but we could also bill you for the ammo and miscellany. Doesn't matter either way."

To this, the ox nodded. "Whichever you prefer." He blinked in mild surprise as Obi leaned over the table. He eyed Obi speculatively and said with a faint grin, "Yeah, I know how to have a good time. You got something in mind?"

The snake rolled his eyes. Please let those ground rules apply especially to the doll-boy across the table. "I don't know about Heath, but I'm used to killing people, not protecting them. This is completely new though I know the gist."

"Yeah, I've done this once or twice, it's pretty straightforward stuff. Planning ahead, checking the place out. Someone's up at all times to make sure the subject is safe, keep an eye out. You're not facing assassination and stuff, right? So it doesn't have to be really elaborate."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 05, 2010 10:22 pm

The cat nodded, "Alright. If you would like, you can make a list of meals you might like for when we aren't eating out so we can get supplies for that. You can charge what ever ammo and supplies you need to the agency. We will cover it if necessary circumstances arise."

"Probably." Obi grinned before pushing back to slouch in his seat again, "This will be a fun trip." He eyed Tol then Demi, looking innocent.

The cat sighed; Obi didn't need bodyguards, he needed babysitters. Glancing at Heath he nodded. "You can set it up however you want, but there will need to be one of you around at all times. The other can be sleeping, tourist-ing, I don't care, just make sure to get back. And when we go to events, it would be preferred both of you were there. We only have a couple big ones that you will both need to be at."

Obi snickered at the 'assassination' comment, "I hope not. I have not been warned of it so far." Though he did have that debut coming out... He looked at Demi curiously.

"The contracts you notice are kind of open. Obi has a debut that will be right before we come back from Spain. If need be we will extend your contracts if you are alright with that.Things might get a little rocky, because it's going to be big. We will have to play it by ear though."

Heath nodded. "All right, we'll get the lists you need." He glanced over at Obi and smirked. Even if he was one of those crazy party-going tourist types, this was going to be a great trip...

Tol glanced between them and rolled his eyes. This was going to be an excruciatingly long trip. He would make sure the menu and the bill made up for it.

He turned to Demi and nodded. "Understood." Heath was right, this sounded pretty straightforward. That is, except for the open-ended clause in the contract. Interesting. Heath would probably be delighted to continue. Tol, at this rate, would be happy to terminate it.
