This thread is the thread to put any and all tournaments taking place on earth into. You will need to post rules for the tournament, and the bracket line-up. Each fighter will be required to post their profile, and the fights between two npcs can be decided by a random number between 1 and 2.

The 13th martial arts no-holds-barred tournament. This tournament will be held following a standard three-bracket, (six fighters,) system. The fighters are:
Akachi 'The Hand of God' (level 10)
Baltazar (level 2)
Arin (level 6)
Dietfried (level 2)
Friedrich (level 2)
Aki (level 3)
The brackets have been selected: Akachi---| Baltazar-| -------------Aki Dietfried-| Friedrich-| -------------Arin Aki and Arin will fight the winners of groups Akachi/Baltazar and Dietfried/Friedrich, respectively. The winner from those fights will go on to the championship match! Baltazar and Dietfried eliminated in the first round. Aki elminated by Akachi in the second round Friedrich eliminated by Akachi in the third round, a three-way battle royale Akachi elminated by Arin in the third round, giving her victory over the entire tournament.

Auras can displace solid matter, so it's a good idea to think through it before powering up to full strength in the middle of a flimsy building. (just a suggestion.) Ki causes damage to inanimate objects (that the user is not protecting or keeping out of this effect) at a rate of 1 hp damage per 2 kp over resting rate. Just how it happens depends on personal preference. This damage has a radius of [ki mod] feet around the user. It does not harm people.
Technique Name: Ki blast Description of Jutsu: This technique seems to be fairly common, (and fairly obsolete) throughout the universe. It focuses generic chakra and fires a blast (can be a cone, ball, beam, whatever,) of non-sustained chakra to do a little damage to whatever it happens to hit. Rank: D Kp Cost: 20 Kp Damage: 10-30 + ki mod. + 1 per ten in ki control Reflex DC: 5 + Character level + ki mod for half damage. Neutral 20 or surpassing the save by 10 means no damage. Requirements: ki 10+, ki control 10+ Training: 3 days Special: Can be used to cancel another non-sustained ki attack if it proves to have a higher DC.

No other race will have a suit of this armor for sale, because no Saiyan would give it up, unless their pride had forced them to remove it and they got killed, or similar, but that's not important. Name: Standard Scouter Type: Ki Scanner Description: This is the most basic scouter on the market, excluding antiques. It allows a person to read apparent power levels to the mark. Unfortunately, it will explode if a power level is over 25,000. In-Game Stats: Allows a person to read apparent power levels, in the original Saiyan language, unless specially made for a different language, or modified with a repair DC of 100. Damage: 15 damage to the person wearing the scouter if they try to read a power level of more than 25,000, from the explosion. Requirements: None, except it must be purchased from a Saiyan store. Special: A Saiyan with appropriate background may begin at creation with a scouter without spending a technique on it, although they are not allowed to have the skills sense ki or conceal ki at creation.Owner: Saiyan race Vehicle name: Saiyan space pod Physical description: A 5 foot spherical white pod, with a red window. The inside of the pod is comfortable and padded. Vehicle speed: maximum of 3 light years per hour. Fuel efficiency: Can travel for three years without stopping, but it must enter a hospitable atmosphere for at least ten minutes at least every six months to replenish its environmental system. Environmental system (if any): Can last for six months at a time, but must be replenished every six months by entering a hospitable atmosphere for ten minutes. Life support/medical support (if any): The pod contains a device that places the rider in suspended animation so that they can preserve their strength for their trips and reduce the amount of food they require.
A functional life support system is available to stabilize the user should they be injured, but there is no healing available: One must travel to a planet that will take care of them. This life support system will fly the ship for the user, replenishing the environmental system as the owner sleeps, so long as it is given a destination. Control system: The Saiyan space pod is controlled by voice commands in their native tongue (or the standard for its design,)
by a keypad that is translated to be read in the vernacular (sometimes simplified to pictures for illiterate fliers,)
and by a remote control with generally only four buttons:
Come: tells the pod to fly to the user Depart: Tells the pod to fly somewhere safe. Orbit: Tells the pod to orbit the planet until further notice, and to preserve its life as best it can Self-destruct: The pod will explode, causing 100-500 damage to any within a ten foot radius, and 200-700 to any that are inside the pod.
HP: 5 feet times 100 HP = 500 HP Special: When traveling in a saiyan space pod, the user need only eat once every six months, and suffers no ill effects from neglecting their physical training.
In fact, they can train in mental methods for the duration of the trip, and the computer generally has education material on its hard drive, and can access more by connecting to the intergalactic 'internet,' but add one DC to each roll for the amount of time you go between eating:
For instance, eating once every six months (the max) will add 6 to the DC, while eating once every three months will add only three. Weapons/Defenses: None whatsoever. This pod is completely weaponless, and designed for lightweight speed and stamina as opposed to being a combat flier.

Clothing: Aki wears a pair of red martial arts pants that are loose around her ankles, a pair of red shoes that almost seem light (in weight) enough to be made of paper, and a red long-sleeved martial arts top over a black shirt. Background: Aki was trained for a few years in martial arts, but left when she became too good for her school to teach her any further. She wanders the lands looking for a good fight. She isn't particularly violent, she just wants to challenge herself. Personality: Aki is quick to grow agitated, but she has a good sense of self-control when she needs to have one. It is a passive skill if only sensing generalities, but must actively be used to determine specific power levels. Rank: E Cp Cost: N/A Damage: N/A Requirements: ki control 1 Training: 2 days Special: can sense generalities (his power level is higher than mine, but hers is in-between, etc.) without trying.
Spending a turn will allow the user to sense a specific ki level (like a scouter would) as it is apparent.
Technique Name: Ki blade Description of Jutsu: Using your ki added to a weapon, you can extend the weapon or you can create a cutting edge (depending on your specialty)

Bo: A Bo is basically a staff. The Bo is normally around 2m long or at the very least 6 inches longer than the person height for purposes of attacking and maneuverability. Damage: 1 - 6 + Str. "Well... There aren't any rules except that whoever is down for ten seconds or dead loses." Aki scanned the posted rules. She looked at the decided brackets that had just been posted. "We get a break, it looks like. We're stuck in here for the first two fights." She squeezed Arin's hand, sitting down on a bench in the room they had been given for the tournament. She looked at Arin, who looked like she had just had her grave stepped on. "Arin?"
She sat frozen, staring at the number in her scouter... This planet is supposed to be... Weak..." "What? What is it? You can tell me."" There is someone out there with a power level of two thousand, seven hundred points.... That's insane..." She was shaking slightly. Not that she was worried about herself. "Aki... Please... Don't fight... I don't think either of us is ready for this, but I'm the one that's going to have the best chances..."
Aki smiled softly, pulling Arin into a warm embrace and resting her cheek against Arin's "Don't worry... It'll be fine... Besides, we don't even know if that person is fighting. And who knows? Maybe it's just not reading right because there's so many people."
The announcer's voice came over the speaker "A- amazing! One punch and Baltazar is... He's dead!"
Arin was less than convinced. "Ok... But please take my armor, though... Just to be safe..."
"No way! Dietfried is down, and Friedrich never even moved!"
"Sounds like I'm up, love." Aki bent down and did something that made Arin forget all about the armor. Aki gave Arin a light kiss. Nothing amazing, but it was more than Arin had ever known, and she felt her entire body blush again. And then Aki was gone, disappearing through the doors and into the arena.

Aki stepped through the doors and the crowd went quiet as if she were a woman on her way to the chopping block. She didn't quite know what to expect from the monster in the center of the stone arena, but she knew it was going to be fun. With a guy that big, there had to be some muscle behind him. He watched as she stepped forward, stopping several feet away and planting her bo on the stone tile. The man just stared dumbly back at her, as if he wasn't even here.
"The next match is Aki versus Akachi. Aki is new to the game, and of course, we all know Akachi! So let's give both of them a hand!" The mob burst into applause and excited roars "Let the battle... BEGIN!"
Arin was watching the fight from the door, completely ignoring rules and regulations. They weren't important. Aki was.
Aki stabbed forward at the beast in front of her, testing him like she had Arin.

And her bo connected with the lumbering oaf's head. he was enraged. He let loose a roar and charged Aki, aiming only one punch at her torso. She tried to fly out of the way, but she knew that it was most likely a lost cause. There wasn't much chance for her to survive this... So she did exactly what she felt was right "ARIN!" There wasn't a chance that Arin would get there before she was hit. It wasn't a cry for help... It was an apology. She had known she shouldn't get into this. And now Arin was going to have to suffer for it.

Simultaneously, two doors sprang open. One was opened by a small old man, and it was opposite from a small young woman. They looked at each other and the old man knew what had to be done. As Arin ran forward he called to the announcer. He had known what love had looked like. "Call the fight! No one survives Akachi's punch!"
The crowd roared, thinking that the two fighters that had just come out were anxious for the next fight. Aki stayed down, and the sudden noise distracted and confused Akachi. "She's down! Akachi has won another fight! Is there no one who can stop him?" Two paramedics ran onto the field, picking up the unconscious Aki. She hadn't been knocked unconscious by the force of the blow, but from the fear she had felt...
"And our next two combatants seem to be itching to fight each othe-"
The old man called out "I have a challenge!" The entire stadium went quiet. "I have no hope of beating Akachi. And I don't have a chance of beating the young lady across the way. Neither do I completely believe that she will defeat him on her own! I propose that Akachi accept the challenge of battling us BOTH! A three-way battle-royale!"
The crowd cheered so loudly that it didn't matter what the combatants thought, it was decided. The old man nodded. Akachi dumbly ducked his head.
"Let's do it!" The old man, Arin and Akachi circled each other until they had formed a triangle. Both Arin and Friedrich understood their need to fight the monster before them before they fought each other. The old man put his hands together, his index and middle fingers rising into a hand seal, his robe fluttering. Arin flashed as much of her latent energy as she could into her control, her aura exploding from her body. "Let's do it, old man!"
Arin raised her finger to the giant, and Friedrich pushed his hands forward, both of them blasting their energies forward. Arin's was a purple beam of flames, and Friedrich's was a solid wall of wind. Both of them flew into the air as they shot, to try to get out of range of that monster's fists.

Akachi looked down at the hole in his leg and turned his side to the wall of wind that blew him backwards, falling down. He struggled himself up, enraged that he was in pain, and ran forward, leaping at Friedrich in the air. He'd show these little flies. HE'D KILL THEM!!! And Friedrich looked like the easier target. Small, fragile... Weak... Arin watched as the giant leaped up to strike at the old man who had helped her so much. The old man turned and smiled at Arin, knowing there was no way to avoid the attack. He had lived a good life. And he had saved a young one. He was happy with that.

Friedrich was swatted into the stone by Akachi's giant fist, crushing into the tiles as his body broke against them. There was no paramedic brave enough to get him out from the arena with that crazed monster in the arena. Arin was angry now... Arin was completely enraged that this beast could hurt her so deeply. She remembered Aki's face... And she lost it. She pointed both fingers at Akachi and fired four purple beams in such rapid succession she may as well have fired two.

Arin watched as all four of the beams hit Akachi. Hell, one of them even hit him twice. One beam pierced his left shoulder, one his left thigh, one pierced his bicep and his ribs, and the fourth blew a hole in his stomach. He was bleeding, but he didn't even seem to notice. He charged at Arin and leaped to hit her out of the air. Swinging his fist down from her top, she pretty much knew she was going to get hit. But she knew it wasn't going to kill her. She wouldn't let it.
