 The sun in the sky seemed to smile as it shone down on Tamu. The day was perfect for him, and he trotted around in the same circle over and over again, taking in all the smells and sights of the new day. A wave of splendor washed over him, and he dropped to the ground, rolling back and forth in the grass.

Shuffle forwards. Stop. Shuffle forwards a little more...she almost had him! Hidden behind a rock Jini crouched, most thinking her black, black coat would do nothing to hide her in the tall grass, but it was enough as she leapt suddenly at her brother, a playful growl ripping from her maw as she attempted to land squarely on top of him.
"TAG!"

"Oof!" Tamu let out a high-pitched squeak as his sister landed on his small frame. He was smaller than she, and it felt like all the air in his body had been forced out by her landing. He smiled, nonetheless, and pawed at her ears, growling playfully. "No way no way!" he wiggled around underneath her, momentarily trapped. "If we're playing tag, then why aren't you running?" his voice was soft and had a girlish quality to it, but one could still tell that he was male.
He sprawled out his toes and squirmed back and forth, making his way out from underneath his dark sister. With a heavy sigh, Tamu took in all the air that had been sucked from him in the attack, and made a move to tackle her in return, but caught his foot on a rock and fell.

Jini squealed in excitement and glee as she tumbled on top of her brother, sending the two sprawling forwards as she landed quite hard on top of him. The sound of air rushing from his lungs confirmed that it had been a hard landing, but luckily for the young cheetah her brother had made the landing soft for her, leaving her unharmed. She giggled, wiggling her hind in the air playfully, nipping at his ear before prancing off through the grass, unaware that he'd tripped.
"You can't catch meeee~!"

A challenge.
This could prove.......something. He didn't quite know why, but Tamu had always thrown aside his naturally kind and non-competitive nature when he was around his siblings, always trying to beat them. Maybe he was trying to compensate for his small figure.....?
Who knew, but as Tamu returned to his feet and shook the dirt from his coat, he swayed his tail, like he'd seen adult cheetahs do, getting ready to run as fast as he could.
He'd always wanted to run that fast, and it felt like it as he slowly caught up to his sister.
"Almost.......there...." Tamu weezed a bit, exhausted as he strained himself even more. "Got you!" with one last leap, he barely caught the end of her tail, yanking her down to the ground as he tumbled himself.

Jini didn't even notice her brother chasing her, she was enjoying herself too much. Racing through the grass, feeling it skim over her fur, parting before her as she ran and she ran and she ran. And how she did love to run. But that wouldn't come as a surprise to msot - after all, she was a cheetah.
And so, it was with a surprised, slightly pained yelp that she felt herself suddenly tugged to a halt, but her tail. That had HURT! Her tail wasn't for tugging - it had felt like it might come off! Feeling tears rise in the delicate youngster's eyes, Jini clamped them shut as she fell onto her back, instinctively curling into a ball with her tail safely in the middle, where no-one could tug it.
"Owwwwww! MOMMA!" she wailed, rather loudly, wanting her Momma. Momma would make it better. She'd kiss her tail and tell her everything would be alright.

Tamu stared at the sky after he fell, with a sly smile on his face. He had won this game. His breathing was heavy still, and his chest seemed to cave in every time he took a breath. He closed his eyes, enjoying the slight breeze that soared over his fur.
What was that noise?
He had seeped into his own world of happiness, not realizing that his sister was sobbing about some pain or something.
Greeeaaat.
He didn't really feel bad about it. In fact, it bothered him very little to see her crying like that. I mean, she was his sister. Nonetheless, Tamu raised himself from the ground, weary from running so much, and 'fell' on top of his sister, nuzzling her head lovingly.
"Oh, c'mon, quiet now." he licked her closed eyes with tears seeping out, slowly wiping them away.

At first, she tried to push him off. It was his fault she was hurt! He'd been the one to pull her tail! But eventually Jini allowed her big brother to sooth her, wails decreasing to sobs, which decreased to whimpers and sniffs. The young female whined, nuzzling her brother back with a small purr as she licked his nose as a sign of fondness.
"You pulled my tail," she spoke, with a small pout, said tail still pulled tightly to her, as if she were afraid it might be pulled again. The joint was still sore, and ached a little, but Tamu's soothing licks and nuzzles had made her feel better, and made it easier to ignore the pain.

Looking down and smiling a bit, Tamu's eyes softened. "I know." he glanced up towards the sky briefly, quickly returning his gaze to his fallen sister. "No more, kay?" he squished his nose up to hers and wiggled it a bit, squinting his eyes.
He lifted himself, giving Jini one last nuzzle, and trotted a few feet away.
"Well, are you just gonna sit there crying all day, or are you gonna come have fun with me?" a wicked smirk came upon his face as he stared back at his sister.

Jini continued pouting as her wide eyes looked up to her brothers, and she managed to giggle as he nuzzled her again, before hopping up and bouncing off. Unable to satisfy her curiosity just by laying there, she wriggling around, watching him playfully through the grass, refusing the get up. Yet.
"Nope!" she yelled defiantly, yet in an obviously playful tone as she wriggled her hind in the air again, giggling gleefully.

Making his eyes appear apathetic, Tamu held a small smirk on his face. "Fine then." he turned and started to trot in the opposite direction, leaving his sister and her protruding behind.

Jini watched him, waiting for him to turn around. he would - she knew he would. ...Right? Starting to get worried, she stood up, only lasting a few more moments before she raced after him, crying out loudly. "Wait, Tamu! Don't leave me!"

He didn't turn around; not once. He'd wait until she came to him. He liked the feeling of being wanted like this. Even if it was just by his sister.
"So you decided to come with me?" he smiled at her and nudged her shoulder. "Would go with me anywhere? Forever?"

And Jini did come to him, not wanting to be left alone. She bounded after her brother, eventually drawig level with him, beaming a wide smile towards him. He was her annoying brother, true - but he was her big brother too, and she looked up to him. ...Kinda.
"No!" she was quick to deny, pushing herself up onto her hind too feet and pushing with her front two against her brother, hoping to topple him over. "No I wouldn't! 'Cause you'd go to, uh...smelly places!"

"So if I left, you'd stay here?" Tamu flicked his eyes to the side; he had always wanted to travel the world, but he wanted someone to be there with him. Someone he cared about. He just knew that when he was older, he'd have to leave at some point. To get away from the familiarity of things. He loved change, but he wanted her to stay with him.
"You just want to make your big brother cry, don't you?" he looked over to her, pouting a little.
