 gressil had found a nice dry spot on a rock, on which to take her nap. the feint soothing sounds of the stream below lulled her to sleep. but not if nox had anything to say about it. "let's do something sister." she whined. "lets go out and play!""go bug your brother!" gressil sniped. she was in no mood to be bugged."aaawwww!" moaned nox with great boredom . "he and forest are up a tree, eating some fruit..." nox had recently been forced to come to terms with the fact she couldn't climb. "let's play!""fine." gressel submitted. "we'll play hid-and-seek. i'll be it." she continued without opening an eye. the count began, taking nox completely by surprise. she stumbled about in shock, before taking of to find a hiding place."five. six. seven." as the sounds of nox's hooves grew feint and distant gressil trailed off. "silly girl." she chuckled.

 crunch, smack, chomp, gulp. these and many other sounds echoed from verrins mouth as he chewed his snack, oblivious to the noises he was making. he and forest where relaxing in a tree for a midday meal. with a bit of fruit in his mouth "hey verrin, what do you figure we should do next?"after a brief pause, verrin answered "i guess we can go out on a safari." still chomping away. "do you know what a safari is?" forest asked, a little skeptical. "ummm.... no" verrin admitted. "i heard gressil say it one time.""it's when you go out to see animals where they live." forest explaned. "that sounds fun." verrin stated. with one final chomp, he reached hit a core, and through out the fruit. as he shimmied down the trunk he added "let's go by ourselves. gressil will just bug us, and nox will scare everything away.""sounds good to me." said forest and the two set out on an adventure.

nox as fast as her little legs could handle. if her sister found her... well, she didn't now what would happen, but that didn't stop her from running. eventually, she found a nice big bush to hid in.
not to far away, verrin and forest where continuing there less than successful safari. so far they had only encountered one grasshopper, two beetles and about 30 ants, one of witch, was unlucky enough to be sucked in to verrins nose. "gah! get it out!" he screamed.
"i'm sorry man, but that would involve me putting my fingers in your nose, and that's just a bit to far." forest apologized.
after a few snorts and sneezes, the bug was finally dislodged. one brief glare later, all was forgiven, and the two once again set off on their safari.
"hey look over there!" forest shouted as pointed to a little bit of fuzz sticking out of a bush.
"woaow!" verrin gasped "what is that?"
"dun'no." forest admitted "maybe it's a rhino!" he guessed, beginning to get caught up in the excitement.
"woh! what do we do?" verrin asked.
"i think we're supposed to catch it." forest answered.
"okay!" verrin accepted and immediately jumped the bush, grasping the creature.
nox screamed a lung out. "gressil has caught me!" she thought. without hesitation she sprang into a gallop, dashing off with verrin still attached.
as nox sprang from the bush forest realized what had happened. "hey! nox! calm down!" he yelled, but nox was to far off to be heard. with a sigh, forrest too ran off into the distance.
