Religious signs hurt vampires- TOTAL myth. I hate the media stressed
And, actually, most vampires really are sensitive to the sun and garlic. (moreso the sun, though, usually.)

oh so Extravagant... it really all depends among the "real" vampire community, yes, there is an aversion to sunlight, but not so much garlic.

well it depends on whitch vampire community.
Sanguines or Psionics.
The religion myth came from the first Christian vampires who themselves were very self destroyed by the churches influence. THey were said never to be able to enter the pardise. The cross was symbol of the heaven they were barred from. It was an anthema.
The idea of garlics supression came from an odd myth about Vamps bieng weak to martian astrological influence.

σн §σ €xтяαvαgαηт... I don't really equate "real" vampirism with legands/tales. It's more a condition than anything. I would know ._.;

The Pied Piper of Sunday The idea of garlics supression came from an odd myth about Vamps bieng weak to martian astrological influence. Really? I thought it was because garlic makes the blood have a different smell and taste. So by ingesting garlic people thought they would be safe from vampires because vampires wouldn't like the taste of tainted blood. Thats what I read about, spent night thinking about, and the conclusion I came to anyways.

I don't know about vampires but in my religion we believe in a creature called a draugr. They are the bodies of fallen warrior that rise from the grave and have been known to drink blood as vampires do.

ρℓαgυε яαтs αη∂ вℓσσ∂ч cяυмρεтs...Sir Vincent- I think I've read about that somewhere.
Vampire is really just an umbrella term for the different myths that are similar to that. Status >in want of arts

Something I found when doing a search online:
Apparently, a vampire can be killed if one should steal his/her left sock while he/she slept and filled it with river rocks. Then, after throwing said rock-filled sock into running water, said vamp would die.
I thought it an interesting myth.
