Itoshii walked into the room. "Ano, I wanna learn how to cook too!! Cause it seems that the maids don't let me into the family kitchen anymore cause I always make a mess of things...." Ito said.

::Eliza smiles, glad to have two folks excited to learn how to bake, then after taking the second batch from the oven, sets it to cool::giving them both bowls and mixing spoons:: okay guess we'll start with an easy recipe...chocolate chip cookies!

Since the oven is already heated we can skip that step...but usually you'll preheat it to 375 degrees.

Now before we get started you'll need the following ::taps the ingredients as she names them::

• 3/4 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 large eggs,beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
*1 cup chopped pecans (or other nuts if you want)

::making sure both have aprons to cover their clothes::are we ready to continue? ::while waiting the reply, places the chocolate candies in the center of each still warm-from-the-oven cookie::

::smiling at thier eagerness, continues:: Mix sugar, brown sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl by hand. ::adding the other stuff:: Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt.

The dough will be very stiff.

Stir in chocolate chips and pecans if you want.

You can add the extra candies after they're done - as I have - ::gestures to finished batches::if you'd like a little something extra...

We're just about finished - how ya'll doing? Anyone need help with anything?

::placing the bowl in her hands down, she hops down and picks up a towel::wets it on one side and hands her the dry side::here - you might want to shake as much of the dry stuff out first...it dosn't work too good with water and shampoo
::then offers a comb::after you clean up work this through and well finish the batch after you've freshend up...

::looking over to the other::how you doing over there?

::Eliza shrugs::I don't know about the differances in sugar -- but we could divide the batch and do half with white with brown and the other with white to find out!

(I'll try this today to see what happens)

but I do know not to increase the heat - all we'll get in a hurry then is burnt cookies!
