I read in a book once that if you feed a dog cheese eventually it will lose it's sense of smell. Is this true? My parents say it's not, but I'm certain I read it somewhere! And it has to be true! Why would an author make up something as stupid as that? Surely there is logic behind it! I'm confused...

Not true. You will give them bad gas, mouth odor, and diarrhea, but the dog's sense of smell will not be affected. You may or may not wish yours was, however biggrin
But there are authors who will believe or say anything.

I say false. My cocker spaniel and my yorkiepoo have both eaten cheese and their sense of smell is perfectly fine.
