She wandered around not going anywhere particularly, she just enjoyed the stroll. Ciel was an interesting type of soquili she had rather unique bright colors that resembled of a bird. Though she had no wings she was happy being a land dweller. Stopping by a little stream of water she lowered her head to take a sip and raised her head up giving off a peaceful sigh.
"Such a beautiful day.." the sun was warm and the air only had a gentle breeze passing every now and then. The sky was clear and it was a perfect day to watch the flyer's.

Mel had certainly guessed right when he had figured that the horrible weather of winter had scared everyone off. Now that the sun was showing its face more and more, he'd met someone new and now off in the distance he could see another Soquili. Her colors were bright and reminded him a lot of his own family since there was a lot of blue in the genes. Just not as bright of a blue as her coat seemed to be, but it was pretty none the less.
Since he didn't want to be rude he figured he should to introduce himself before she spotted him and thought him just staring at her. His pace was leisurely as he walked down to where she stood by the stream, making sure he rounded a bit so he came walking up to her side so he didn't startle her on accident. "Nice afternoon, isn't it? I've missed this weather. Spring should be here any day now." He smiled to her as he looked up to the sky. "Name's Mel. If you dare attempt my full name it's Melanthios."

Her golden eyes just watched the sky expecting a wind or two to fly by, a voice startled her. Feeling a shiver run down her spine she turned her gaze to see a stallion. At first she backed away a few inches and tried to keep herself calm. The stallion had rather unique color patterns on him and when he introduced himself, he seemed no threat.
"Hello, I'm Ciel." her voice was quiet.
Lowering her head "Nice to meet you, Mel." it was a bow in respect.

It seemed he'd caught the mare off guard for a moment. Though even if he hadn't he wouldn't have been surprised if he had gotten the same reaction. She seemed a bit skittish. "I'm sorry if I snuck up on you. My apologies," he also bowed his head to her. Mel didn't make any move to get closer and let her have her space. "It's nice to meet you as well, Ciel. I must say I think I spotted you a mile away, your coat is so vivid and bright with color. It's a beautiful shade of blue. I'm rather partial to the color, it runs in my family." He smiled and gave her a friendly wink, hoping to put her at ease some with his presence.
