This is for your thoughts on Winry..considering she is the main female.
I think Winry is annoying at times, but she is loveable. There are plenty of times where I wish she jump off a cliff and die. (note: in the dubbed verison...I hate her voice..she sounds preppy to me..). One thing i hate about her is the fact that are times she is so greedy that its beyond belief. Like when they were shopping after the Barry the Butcher incident, she just continued to use his money and didn't do anything about comforting him...
things i find funny about her is when she is on her greedy streak is the comparison. Like in that one episode where a lady goes "ooh look at that ring! I want it buy it for me honey!!" So he does. And Winry finds an automail arm and she goes "OOH look its the (something) Automail!! EEED I want it!" or something..that was funny..
what about you?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't realize there was anything spoiler-worthy about Winry. I may just be missing something... (though I've seen the series through.) but I really didn't realize there was something spoiler-ish about Winry. sweatdrop

HaganeNoRenkinjutsushi Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't realize there was anything spoiler-worthy about Winry. I may just be missing something... (though I've seen the series through.) but I really didn't realize there was something spoiler-ish about Winry. sweatdrop thats cuz there arent really any "spoilers" about her..... cuz she doesnt influence the series THAT MUCH....

Yeah, Winry can sure as hell be annoying... (which is why I play her... 'cause I can be annoying. v__v; I don't intend to, I swear!! *flail*) ....but overall, I think she's a pretty cool character. She's not nearly as... damsel in distress as most anime females are... (She's not another MIAKA!! THANK. GOD.)

i think its fun when she makes the cars go really fast xp she just does something and then car goes like 100mph or something xp

She is one of those few female characters that does not depend upon others, especially the men around her, for her inner strength. She is one of the reasons that I enjoy anime. Many times there is a severe shortage of such characters in the American image of women in movies. Women like Kusanagi Motoko of Ghost in the Shell, or Duenan Knute of Appleseed, are the reason I became a fan of manga. Of course I do still like a variation in characters. Tenjou Utena is also a favourite, but she is also one of those strong females that anime seems so flush with.

I would have to disagree with you on this, you could see she was trying to act as it didn't happen. She didn't want to see Ed sad, and she did her best to act her normal self. ._. thats what i think at leaste. I hate her english voice it's not cute enough >.o

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but there aren't any spoilers here...Anyways, back to the topic. Winry is cute, and pretty, I've never found her annoying before. She looks so darn cute when fixing Ed's automail arm. She's like ed & Al's mom, always fussing over them, telling them to be careful, taking care of them, giving them a whack on the head with the *clears throat* "Almighty Spanner". Now, that scene was just cute.
Edit: Actually, now that I've thought about it, yes, Winry can be annoying sometimes..like when she took Ed's pocketwatch apart without telling him. Other than that, nothing else, and if I lost an arm, I would definitely want her to be my automail mechanic^^
