Physical Description: Pendra has light brown hair kept just long enough to tie back with a ribbon and grey-green eyes. Nautrally fair-skinned she tended to spend much of her time within the weyr, but that changed with her candidate duties and she has aquired a light tan. Pendra is what most would consider a great beauty,--very feminine curves, big eyes framed with long lashes-- but her looks are a new developement and she's confused both by the looks she gets from men and from the glares she gets from her female peers.
Personality: Spoiled, shy and awkward. She has few friends but is always there to help her peers. Pendra has probably had a crush on most of the bronze and brown riders at some point or another. Most consider her shyness to acctually be a kind of smug superiority, especially those who didn't grow up with her. She does do some awkward flirting, smiles and giggles, blushes and batting eyelashes, but she retreats soon after feeling the fool. Such flirting combined with her looks might very well get her in trouble
History: Her mother is Piera a woman of the lowercaverns known for her weaving. Pendra is Piera's only child and thus has been spoiled by her mother and her mother's lovers male and female. Pendra spent most of her childhood within the lowercaverns watching her mother work, usually on gather dresses and embroidery. She grew up a weyrbrat but because of her shyness rarely took part in the more mischievious stunts of her peers. As she grew Pendra sadly realized she had no talent for her mother's work and began helping in the kitchens where she was able to interact more with others. This is when her habitual crushes began. She'd sit for hours in the evening talking to Piera about this or that rider and wasn't he so handsome and strong, etc. Pendra deep down always thought herself very plain without a chance of acctually attracting any of the riders she was interested in, and then her curves began developing and she began to be noticed. She's yet to realize just how attractive she is and often believes the attention she recieves is just the men being polite or to the other extreme making fun of her. She was happy to join the ranks as a candidate 2 years ago but thus far has been disappointed.
