Ukoo was getting rather nervous of late. Since her seeress dream, she was feeling more and more nervous of things. A recent storm had her almost in tears, curled around her babies. She was so nervous lately.... and couldn't explain it really. All she knew was that when she had dreams-her health declined and she grew ill. That was why she was so stunted in the first place. Small and meek like an adolesent... sometimes she got mistaken for one-much to her annoyance.
She had put the children to bed and went off to hunt for a while. Though she didn't really seem to put much effort into it. She drug her paws and walked slowly, not caring if she could be heard... she was more intrested in walking than the hunting. She sighed, her crimson eyes half lidded.

Abrafo stretched one paw out infront of the other in a slow dance as he slank around the bushes, peeping his head out every little while to make sure he wasn't seen. The pride was so boring lately that he had to get out for a little bit, though he knew these trips were becoming longer and shorter between. Facts were that while it provided the perfect protection for him as a cub, he didn't have many things to keep him preoccupied as he grew and he needed stimulation.
If it hadn't been for Moses, he wouldn't be in the Mwana to begin with and he also wouldn't have to be sneaking out.
His dark pelt blended in perfectly with the night, leaving only his mane to reflect off the light. Running now as he got closer to his usual trail, he spotted a vague figure. The adol's face squinched with curiosity. He'd seen her before, off and on he thought. Ukoo...wasn't it? If she caught him, he could be in serious trouble. Crouching down low, he ran a little to the left so his path wouldn't cross hers, but in his hurry he didn't see the tree root and promptly tripped over it, crashing down onto the moist floor with a 'boom'.

Ukoo was about to turn back and head to her children when the sounds of a collision with something caught her attention quickly-she went on alert; being the paranoid lioness/mother she was-and instantly was at abrafo's side, a snarl curling across her lips. If it had been a stranger she would have attacked instantly, that was how high she was in her nervousness. Her crimson eyes were startling in the moonlight as she snarled and puffed up at the stranger-who was...
NOT A stranger. She stepped back quickly. It was a face she recognized and she could smell the pride on him. What a fool she was, shrinking back quickly as was her custom when it came to others of higher ranking. She slunk back, almost the same size as he-her ears flattened against her skull and belly almost to the ground. "O-oh.." She said simply. It was of no doubt that the Verlos would see her neck and its scars and know she was a slave. How could she have acted so harshly and foolishly.
"M-my apologies.."

Abrafo sprang up from the earth with his fangs bared, dual colored eyes blazing. The bright purple hairs around his face sizzled with energy. He wasn't sure why she was attacking him, but she was damn sure going to get a helluva fight for attempting.
A seasoned roar was working its way up into his throat when she started to shrink back. His body stilled for a moment, panting heavily while he willed himself to be calm. It didn't make sense to him. Attack one minute and retreat the next? Blinking, he made a little 'o' with his mouth. She's scared. Or at least, thats what he suspected. Obviously, by the way she was acting she was of a lower rank than himself and probably thought he was going to punish her for acting as she had.
Straightening himself as best he could, Abrafo passively flicked his tail around his paws and spoke. " None are necessary...." He struggled to remember her name again, but when he saw the scars on her throat, he went with the general term. "...blood binder. You were acting out of instinct and your actions were justified. I should have properly announced myself. " Not that I would have, he thought sarcastically. In truth, he was more terrified of her now than she could ever be of him. She had connections, he didn't. If she told on him.... " Forget that you saw me this night and I'll let this incident pass. "

Ukoo didn't dare think of the results if she had done that sort of thing to some of the other members of the pride.. what if it had been the queen or King Moses himself! She could barely keep her meal down. She kept her head lowered, knowing that even though she was an adult and he was adolesent, she was still lowly ranked. Her crimson eyes gazed at the ground slowly, studying the grass as her breath became calm again. If only she hadn't been so cautious... why was she so scared anyway? Why would anyone hurt her babies?
Then images of her Uncle Pya trying to rid his family of her and her 'disease' replayed in her head and she remembered. "I should not have been so nervous on my own... I have been like this since my children were born." She said quietly. Then she sort of realized that he had been coming back from outside the pride hadn't he? She gave a glance in the direction he had come from; her eyebrow cocking. So he was taking trips outside the lands... was that allowed? She sort of wiggled her muzzle side to side. If he was going off-would she have to report that to her king? "What were you doing anyway?

Children? Abrafo's snout pulled back involuntarily in disgust. He couldn't stand the little buggers. All they did was flop around the ground uselessly and whine to their mother for this or that. In his mind, a pride was better off without them, but everyone else thought they were so important. " If I were you, I would get rid of the little beasts, if they were causing me so much worry. "
Still, it was hard to imagine this little wrath of a lioness as a mother. She didn't look much older than he was and there was no way he would even think about having cubs this early in life.
Her question chilled his blood upon realization. His tail came to a silent rest next to him as he formulated some sweet lie in his brain. Hunting? No, they had plenty of prey within the pride lands. Running off a rogue? Surely, someone would have seen him or at the very least, heard their fight. Abrafo smiled nervously. " I was...examing strange sightings. Nothing to be concerned with, I assure you. It must have just been my imagination. "

Ukoo flexed her claws against the ground. Was he referring to her children as 'little beasts'? She could not help but make a face in a bit of anger, looking away. Her children were her life-if only he knew how important they were everything. His survival and his birth. She simply did not respond to his words.
She lifted her head and her crimson eyes studied him slowly. So he was out and about and breaking the rules.... strange sightings indeed. She nodded her head slowly, blood red orbs blinking. "It is my concern... I have cubs nearby... what kind of sightings? Anything that I should report to our king?"

He'd angered her. The one and only emotion that Abrafo could pick up on easily was anger, which was clearly what this female was exihibiting. It didn't make much of a difference to him whether she liked his views or not. The first cub he'd ever met in his life he'd killed, so he didn't see much use in the weak little things.
" I will report my findings to the Dracul myself. " The adol spoke haughtily, puffing up his chest to make him look so much bigger than he already was. All of the pity and nervousness he'd felt earlier seemed to slip out of his mind like sand in the wind. " I can assure you that your cubs are completely safe. " He spoked the word with as much disdain as possible.

She eyed him slowly but didn't say anything further. She just gazed into the distance where he came from and came up with a small idea. "Well. I have a few things to say to the Dracul myself... so perhaps I will go visit him myself!" She said simply, giving him a glance with her blood red eyes and keeping it there for a moment, before starting to slowly walk through the brush, and towards where their royalty stayed.
"And I wish to confine in the queen for something, so I suppose we shall travel together then!"

( Change of plans. ='D I've had Abrafo leave the pride, so feel free to have Ukoo run his skanky a** out. )
" No! " He blurted out without so much as a second thought and streamed along side her, coming to a complete rest before the slave. His eyes were dancing across the shrubbery, trying to come up with some kind of logical explanation that would keep her away. " I mean...Why don't I go first and you can follow me? After all, both of us showing up together wouldn't set a good example, now would it? "
The adolescent chewed on his lip in a worried-teenager sort of way before his mind caught up with his lips. " Not-not that I mean that you aren't worth showing up with, not at all. We just don't want to pressure them for an audience. "

She was sure of it now. This cub was lying to her face. She spun to stare at him, red eyes flaring. She took a step towards him, her pridal side showing now. "Liar... you lie through your teeth. You were outside the territory!" She spat, her fur standing on end. It wasn't her size that was intimidating, it was her blood red orbs that bit and stung like a wasp. She stared straight into his eyes.
She took a step towards him. Her seer powers blared within her skull, showing her his deceit. "I can see right past you, male of purple and falsehood." She said, her teeth bared. "First you bark about cubs being useless and then you lie to me and to our king. You do not deserve your fangs cub!" She snarled.

Momentary fear coiled like a snake in his gut. Suddenly, he was a cub again, facing down something much bigger than himself with eyes that could pierce his soul.
Anger erased this feeling. He felt it bubbling in his blood, giving force to the roar that tore through his lungs. " So what if I was! " Abrafo fumed. His large paws tore at the ground underneath him and held him still where as his mind was screaming at him to tear out her throat. Insolent b***h. " I left because I needed to have peace of mind, something everyone here lacks! You call me a liar and that I wear proudly, because if I have to lie to be happy, than screw everyone here that isn't. "
He turned away from her, licking his fangs with a sadistic grin. " I'll leave, but I can gaurantee you that I'm not happy about it. You will not the chance to tarnish my good name, slave. " Turning round to look her in those piercing eyes, his own glinting with pure malice. The hate he felt for her far beat out the one he felt for his own mother after she abandoned him. " Watch your back, " he spat. " These fangs may not be 'worthy' of the Mwana, but the godess still controls me. One of these days, you'll regret saying those things to me when their paw deep in your throat. "

Ukoo stood proud and strong and did not let her guard down. This was a traitor to her people. She watched him turn and leave, her crimson eyes still boring a hole through him. He would not return. He did not deserve the goddess's grace. No. She did not either and she was content with that. She was content with just being who she was-who she was meant to be.
A slave. She had no regrets. This was all she has ever known. It was all she would ever dream of for the rest of her days. She simply stood her ground, for a few hours after his departure, before her mothering instincts made her return to her cubs. Fin
