✦✦✥✦✥♛☫♛✥✦✥✦✦ 『The rise of the Ostrich Queen 』 Welcome! Unless you convince us otherwise, then this is a one-on-one roleplay between myself and YamaxChan. There is a possibility of shounen-ai in later "chapters." Feel free to follow along in our crazy escapades. The rule is literacy, and maturity. It's our belief that roleplays should be just as enjoyable to read as fanfictions, so even though we're roleplaying with each other...It doesn't mean you're excluded.

i n t r o d u c t i o n xxxx◉◉◉Bring me higher xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx┆I call out to you Priestess xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx┆To bestow upon us xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx┆The gift of the ostrich egg.▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣ ▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣ Welcome to Ostrich Island! This is a land where the decreasing ostrich population has found a home and has adapted to the lush environment.
Over twenty distinct packs of ostriches span the island in mating season, swallowing mosquitoes whole and snatching the foliage off of branches before the leaves have any chance to age. Their eggs, nearly six inches in height and five in width, they defend with their lives, ensuring that none of the chicks accidentally roll them out of the nests. They're the largest bird known to humankind, and this island belongs to them!
While flying over the open sea on a field trip, a private passenger air plane suffers from a malfunctioning Krueger wing flap, and is flipped over in the air! After a risky emergency landing on the water, emergency rafts are deployed and the children scramble onto them. The better half of a day passes before land is even sighted, and the children struggle to reach the welcoming shores by paddling with their small fingertips in the foreboding waves. Exhausted, wet, and hungry, they regroup on the fine grained sands, feeling the sun already drying their skin cells. "Where are the adults?" all of the young minds inquire. A quick inventory of the sniffling faces shows that the only non-student that has survived is the young daughter of one of the chaperones. So now what? ▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣▣ xxxxxI speak to you infidel xxxxxxxxxxYou who unjustly disturb the ostrich

Sydney awoke, blinking towards the brightness of the island sun. Slowly, the 14 year old boy sat up and glanced upon the world around him. Countless bodies of the other boys in his class lay about him like victims of a terrible battle. Groans emitted as the other boys started to stir, however this was unbeknown st to Sydney.
Carefully, Sydney brushed his tan hair out of his face before he stopped to gaze at the figure before him. Startled, he froze. The ostrich blinked before squawking moving his head about to study the thing before him.
Minutes passed as the two starred into each other, waiting for the other to make a move. Slowly, Sydney started to sway. The great ostrich watched, his head bobbing to Sydney's sway before the young boy's bright blue eyes rolled into the back of his head and everything faded to black.
Sydney's body then lay about the sand with the others, unmoving as the ostrich trotted off into the distance.

"Hey Con-man. Get up, you're stabbing my appendix with your bony a**. Hey... Hey!" A brunette was jeering, elbowing his friend and directing half-hearted punches into his thigh and hip.
"Euugh..." the other groaned, grabbing a fist of sand as he rolled to a face-down position towards the brunette's ankles. 'Ow! You're heavy! Ge'rroff of me Connor!" "Shut up. My head hurts..." Connor replied, feeling a kick of sand rain down on his back. His eyes widened when he felt someone grab his belt and the back of his shirt. "Whaao-uff!" Connor had just been lifted and then dropped on the sand next to his friend. "Stop being so gay," the fit peer sighed, standing over the brunette with a frown on his face, "Just because you've been stranded on a desert island with your best friend is no reason to whip it out of your pants." "Look who's talking, Cameron," the brunette grinned. "Excuse me?" "You're the one straddling me," he continued. "You got the hots for David?" Connor teased, bringing himself to a wobbly stance and brushing grains off of his tie. "If I did he wouldn't even consider you," Cameron answered absentmindedly after a moment. He'd just spied the ostrich peering over Sydney, and he was already bored of bickering with Connor. "What was that asswipe?" Conner exclaimed, breaking to lunge at Cameron before tripping over David's wrist and getting another mouthful of sand. Cameron paid no attention to the clumsy action, and strolled casually over to where the ostrich was.

Steve awoke in the comfort of a palm tree and a collection of soft leaves. Unaware of how he possibly got there, he slid out of the tree with ease and looked about his surroundings.
"You got the hots for David?"
Steve blinked as he heard the response in the distance. "Looks like everyone else survived too." Steve thought. With this in mind, Steve trotted towards the voices.
Suddenly Steve's foot collided with a tree root and he fell upon the ground beneath him. Surprisingly, the ground was soft, and comfortable, and even omitted a soft groan upon his landing. "You - get off me!" Steve jumped up and gazed upon what was seconds ago his pillow. Jeremiah pushed up his glasses angrily before dusting himself off. "Next time watch where you are going!"
Steve nodded in the affirmative.
"What was that asswipe?"
Jeremiah's gasp could be heard from one end of the island, to the other. "How DARE they use such vial language! Come on Steve, we must right our peers of their filth!" Jeremiah walked with purpose through the rain forest and Steve, watching carefully where he was going, trotted behind.

The ostrich, approached by the brunette, stared intently before backing up, squawking and pacing about. It was obvious that the ostrich was unnerved and way out of it's comfort zone however it was also obvious that this boy was, in short, and idiot as he continued to advance towards the great bird.

"Aren't you just the weirdest lookin' thing since the platypus..." Cameron was mumbling to himself, spinning on his heel so that he could follow the frenzied bird's movements. "Hey Cam' be careful! It might be rabid..." One of Cameron's friends warned, jumping to his feet to assist his friend in his hour of ''need." "Hey Cam' get closer! It may bite you!" Connor called while he helped some of the others to their feet. <******** off gaytard!" The brunette swore, turning his back on the large bird and flashing his own rendition at the blonde.
The Ostrich ruffled its feathers and honked angrily, appearing to not appreciate the obscene gesture named for his species. Three more ostriches emerged from the treeline, stepping over Sydney's passed out body to back up their fellow feathered friend.

Before Cameron could go about tormenting the Ostriches as they stood by Sydney's body, Jeremiah sauntered up to him and stood in front of the brunette's view. Jeremiah, ignoring the Ostriches behind him stared into Cameron's light brown eyes with annoyance.
"You! Cameron! Stop using such filthy language in the presences of our peers and God's creatures!"
Steve stared at the young boy laying about the sand behind the ostriches.
"I don't think he's breathing." Steve announced and lightly kicked Sydney's leg with his barefoot.

Cameron just stared down to the one before him with annoyance. His nose twitched and scrunched up, as if he'd just smelled something foul that presented itself in the form of a religion nut.
"What do you mean he's not breathing? He was moving a little while ago," Cameron argued, "He must be asleep or something. Move over so I can have a look," he added, full expecting that Steve would only continue to obey everything he was told. Of course, Steve did. "Sydney." He extended an arm and teased at Sydney's folded collar. "Sydney. Sydney wake up," he added, crouching down next to the boy and lowering his ear over his nose and lips. He held that position for a moment, feeling the hairs on his inner ear be tickled by Sydney's faint breathing. "Steve, you're right, he's not breathing. I have to give him CPR--give me some space, wont you?! Geeze man..." His nimble fingers worked and loosened Sydney's tie, and undid the first few buttons on his shirt to reveal the white creamy skin. His hands slipped under the folds and appeared to press down over his heart four times before he brought his lips down upon Sydney's lips.
"Aren't you supposed to plug his nose and open his mouth a little bit more?" Steve pointed out, one hand resting on his hip, the other pointing down at the situation.
Cameron's eyebrow twitched, "If I did that, then how do I know if he's breathing on his own, idiot?" he growled, not changing his position at all from the kiss. He massaged pumped Sydney's heart before bringing their lips together again for a period of time that was a bit longer than the not-needed standard CPR requirements.

Sydney eyes flew open and he spun, his right arm colliding with the side of Cameron's head, causing him to fall beside the petite boy's body. "I'm awake!" Sydney, unaware that he had only moments ago been kissed CPR-ed or that fact that he had just hit his "savior". Sydney brought his left arm up to shield his eyes from the sun as he stared at the others.
"What?" he asked innocently. Steve look at the others with a look of 'should we tell him?'. Everyone's eyes darted about as they presented to not hear the curses omitting from the assaulted known as Cameron. Steve nodded and per seeded to help Sydney to his feet.
"Thank you Steve." Sydney said, brushing himself off. It was at this moment when the Ostriches made themselves known again as they squawked loudly. Sydney screamed in surprise before whipping around to see the great birds. Steve, carefully, backed up with the others in silence, watching and waiting to see what would happen next.
One Ostrich watched Sydney closely, stepping towards him quietly and carefully.
Sydney felt as if he was floating. Right now it was just him, and the Ostrich. Sydney, at least at that moment, decided that he had never seen anything so beautiful, or cute. The Ostrich understood him, and he understood the Ostrich. Slowly, Sydney raised his hand to the great creature. The Island sun beat upon them and warmed them as their connection became closer...
And then Cameron groan was heard, and the daydream faded into nothingness, along with the Ostriches who ran towards the sun.

"You hit me!" Cameron exclaimed with a frown. "That's no way to treat your savior, is it?" He put on a fake pout, letting his smile lighten when he realized he'd caught Sydney's attention again. "So what're we doing?" Dave asked, approaching the group with Connor in tow, "Anyone got a cell phone? Mine's fried." He reached into his pocket and pulled out phone with a cracked screen with drips of water crawling into his hand. "You're not supposed to have your phone on when you're on an air plane. It messes up with the radio signals that the airplanes bounce off of satelites," Steve offered carefully, looking at David's hand. "Did you crash our plane?" Cameron's friend demanded, taking a step forward in David's direction. "He's not an idiot, Matt. Obviously he had his phone off when we were flying and obviously it's not going to work now with the screen all smashed in like that," Connor spoke up, defending his friend. "Hey, hey, guys, it's hot...we know it... let's just... try to relax, okay? Now, who has a cell phone?" "I doubt we'll get any bars out here, David," Cameron rolled his eyes. "Well work with me. Someone tell me that they have a phone, and that it's working." Steve sniffed and glanced into the woods, hoping that someone else would answer the brunette on that offer. He didn't even have a cell phone, so he wouldn't be able to tell him yes on either of them unless he was lying.

Sydney reached into his pocket to pull out his pink razor. Everything looked all right. All the Japanese phone charms were there and in tact, and the screen wasn't cracked like David's. Sydney happily flipped it open, expecting to hear the charming opening theme music of Ayami Hamazaki and revealing the image of him and his best friend Emi laughing as they posed for the snapshot while at the amusement park.
In the mean time, Steve has sauntered over to the jungle.
However, no matter how long or how hard he pressed, the lights and the music would not come on. Frowning, Sydney stuck his phone in his pocket and watched the other boys.
"Should we follow Steve and find the others?" Sydney asked. When it seemed like no one was paying attention, he trotted off towards Steve, keeping an eye out for anything or anyone that looked familiar.
Steve stood outside of the jungle, waiting for Sydney to come to his side. "By the way, are you feeling all right?" Steve asked. Sydney smiled. "I'm fine, I think I'm just dehydrated or something." Steve nodded and, leading the way, walked into the unknown wilderness.

Little did Sydney and Steve know, they were being watched by more than ostrich eyes. There were feathers casually spread all over the forest floor, mixed with leaves, moss, insects, and a rocky sandy soil mix. The being was secretive--at least this early in the game, and the sound of the incoming airplane had caught his attention long before the crash. This island was far removed from any civilization that required planes, and he most certainly hadn't seen one in a very long time.
The ostriches that roamed the island had long grown used to his existence, and that was probably one of the reasons why more didn't gather at their sudden appearance. He had no intention of making contact with them at this point. Rather, he simply was curious about why they were there. They appeared youthful to him, so he didn't feel so threatened either. His nails dug into the bark of the bough he was perched on before extending his limbs to grab a small snack for his efforts: a banana. He bit the top off and spat it down below him towards the beings before ripping the top off and passed it over to his stake-out-partner, Mr. Monkey. Mr. Monkey was grateful for the token, and jumped off of the bough to a lower branch with a gleeful screech.
"Uii--" the being grunted, jumping up and hiding behind the thick trunk so that the two boys below didn't catch him in their sights when they peered up to see both where the banana head and the screech had come from.
"Hey... Where'd Steve go?" David suddenly asked, taking his eyes off of the spreading blue waves on the sea-shore. "A little busy--" Connor gasped as he tumbled in the sands with Cameron, both of them seeming to try and beat the life out of the other. Matt seemed like he wanted to join, but was too afraid to. Being reduced to the cheerleader role, he was merely shouting encouragement and direction to his friend while sand was kicked in his direction.
"Ugh, Are you two still going at it?" Dave scowled with a sigh. His eyes focused on the disappearing figures of Sydney and Steve. "ah--guys! Wait up!" he called out. "Connor, stop fooling around--look they found shade!" Grabbing the sleeve of Matt's shirt, he took off with a mild jog. Unlike his friend, he didn't want to exert more energy than he had to.
Cameron and Connor were now climbing on each other in a scramble to get up first. Neither of them wanted to be the last one left on the beach.

As the boys came closer to the jungle, they heard something that chilled them right to the bone. A piercing shriek rang through the trees and nestled in the ear drums of all it's listeners.
Jeremiah's glasses shook at the pitch and he grabbed onto them, praying to Allah that the shock waves would not shatter them.
"What was that?" Matt asked looking dumbly at the others. They all looked at each other and uttered the answer. "Sydney?!"
Hearing the noise that omitted from a creature above him somewhere in the trees, Steve screeched and jumped back, holding onto the first thing that he could wrap his arms around for comfort. This happened to be Sydney and when Steve finally let him go and moved to a near by tree to cling to, Sydney's ears rang as he attempted to walk away from the screamer. Sydney blinked and looked up into the trees.
"I wonder what that was?" he whispered. Curiously, he walked about, looking about the leaves and branches, scanning for the creature that had made the noise. Suddenly, as Sydney's face was peering through a particular bush a extremely fuzzy face appeared.
Another scream was omitted as the other boys ran towards the sound. "We're coming child of God!" Jeremiah yelled back as he huffed and puffed behind the others.
The monkey looked at Sydney curiously, and jumped on the young boy who, in surprise, fell to the jungle floor and continued screaming. The monkey then per seeded to silence his captive. Grabbing the first thing he could off the bush, Monkey-san attempted to shove monkey fist fulls of red berries down Sydney's throat.
As the boys came to the small area they found Steve mortified and clinging to a tree as he witnessed...
"Oh my GOD! That monkey is trying to kill Sydney! There's BLOOD EVERYWHERE!" Matt yelled, pointing at the scene in question and to the red liquid that dressed the forest floor and Sydney.
Sydney's screams slowly turned into gasps and laughing, mortifying Matt."Oh my god, I think he likes it!"
