GRASS FIELD
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GRASS type attacks

We will go together. Never regret this path...
Choppi was happy to be fighting another new trainer in her now hometown Katarina. Hopping out happily to her trainer post, the pokeballs on her pigtails moved with her in a fluid motion. Tugging on the one hanging on the right, she clicked it open as she tossed it high into the air. A laser light illuminated the grassy arena and her cubone tossed her head with a loud yawn. This arena again?
"Hannah, let's fight our best today!" She gave a peace sign to her pokemon partner. The cubone waggled her tail and returned the gesture.

Harper could hardly contain her excitement much less her nervousness. This was going to be her first battle and she prayed she'd coach Kaito to a win. Maroon eyes watched as her opponent took her place on the field and with a breath, Harper moved to do so as well.
Nodding a greeting at Choppi, she pulled the pokeball free of it's binding, from the from of her messenger bag. Giving said ball a small kiss, she gave it a toss to reveal the little Dragon within.
"C'mon Kaito! Let's show 'em what we're all about!"

Letting another breeze push past them, Harper forced her nervousness away. Her partner would more than likely be picking up on her emotions and for him to do that would surely lead to their defeat.
"You have a gorgeous Cubone!" she complimented with a smile, before assuming a battle stance. "Kaito! Blow 'em away with a Twister!"
Giving a confirming, "Dra!" The wind began to pick up around the Dratini, before launching at the Cubone as a miniature tornado.

The wall of wind knocked the little cubone off her feet and onto he stomach. Shaking her head and using her claws she hopped right back up. So a critical hit smacked her, not to worry. The battle was just getting started.
Such a cute dratini, it was always fascinating to see them in battle. Cheering her pokemon on, Choppi called out her command.
"Hannah, use Ice Beam!"
Flourishing her boneclub Hannah closed her eyes and tried her best to suck the moisture out of the air and form it into a glittering ball in her hands. It was a tough attack for her to learn, but it always seemed to pay off. In the next moment, a flashing beam of frozen air shot towards Kaito, aiming to damage him in this battle.

Kaito eyed his opponent a bit wide eyed. He knew very well what that attack could have done to him. The little Dratini allowed himself a relieved puff.
A cheer worked its way from Harper's throat, how very proud she was of Kaito! It was a good way to start off their first battle! However, they couldn't let their guards down yet. Hannah certainly looked tough, not to mention she had some strong aces up her sleeves.
"Give her an Aqua Tail!"
Lifting his tail, water began to form around it as Kaito focused on his next attack. As more and more water appeared it began to spiral about, almost like his last move, it looked like a watery twister. Once he deemed himself as having enough, Kaito let loose the attack.

The water spiral hit her arm and spun her a full 360 before she stopped standing back where she started. This guy was really taking her for a spin! Blinking at the limbless pokemon, Hannah bounced from one foot to the other almost in a mock boxer style.
"Ice Punch!"
Using moves that were effective against her ground type was hard to train her for, but sometimes they really paid off. Centering the frost around her paw, she rolled forwards over her skull and then hopped into the air. Aiming at her opponent with her fist as she fell, hopefully he wouldn't be able to dodge this one as well.

Sky blue eyes watched the Cubone move from foot to foot curiously, it almost looking a bit like a dance to him. After the attack was called, Kaito watched as she somersaulted and leapt up to come at him.
The little Dragon panicked momentarily, looking this way and that, before finding it too late to move out of the way. Scrunching his eyes shut, he took the blow and saw stars for a moment.
"Hang in there, Kaito! How about we give them a taste of their own medicine? Give 'em an Ice Beam!"
Shaking his head, Kaito nodded and opened his mouth. What started off as a tiny orb of ice grew to the size of a tennis ball before the blue beam shot forth.

(( You did it right. No worries, I always seem to mess mine up somehow even now. ;D ))
The attack missed her completely as Hannah dodged rather spectacularly. Landing, she wagged her tail in a competitive mood. It was ON. "Cue cueee." She taunted at him, now feeling like she was winning. But it was far from the truth.
"Don't get cocky now girl, let's try another Ice Beam back at him!" Her trainer pointed at the little dratini. She had to admit that it had spunk though.
An orb of super frozen air was concentrated in her paws as she aimed carefully at Kaito with one eye closer. Hopefully this attack would connect with the power she wanted.

He found himself disappointed that he'd missed the Cubone. Then to add to it, he watched her taunt him. In return, he puffed up his little cheeks at her.
"Draaaa~!"
However, he stopped to find another Ice Beam coming at him. This one hit head on, knocking him back a foot or so.
"Draaaaaaa dratini!"
"We haven't got much further to go, Kaito! Stay with me buddy!" Harper called, "Try that Ice beam one more time!"
She had to admit, it was an interesting battle with two Pokemon weak against the same type and then both packing moves that were super effective.
Moving back into place, Kaito opened his mouth again. He was gonna get her this time! He hoped.

The attack frosted most of her fur over good, but a sharp twisting shake of her form knocked it off. Shivering, she turned back to face the opposing teams side of the arena. They were putting up a good fight. Rather impressive.
"Icy WIind!"
Shards of ice glittered in the air about the cubone, really forcing herself to make these attacks possible. With more than half her strength gone, it was going to toll her more. Still, she was gunning for that critical hit. Could she do it? Hurling the shards with an impressive gust from her boneclub, the attack would be hard to dodge. Could she do it?

After a rather forceful blow, Kaito shook his head to clear his head frills of ice.
"Good job shaking it off, boy! Let's show them just how cold we can be! Blizzard!"
Blue eyes shining, he called forth a Blizzard to outshine her Icy Wind. With how many icy moves had been used, he wondered if maybe they could make snow cones out of what was left of all the ice after this.

Hopping out of the way again, her tail wriggled her whole body with joy. She did it again! Unstoppable! Whirling around, another all of ice shards came at Kaito with the intent to knock him back further. Perhaps this battle had turned?
Choppi watched and let the pokemon partner take if from here. Another Icy Wind it was.
