Armelle stood in the early morning glow not far from a Dogwood tree that just started to bud. Her soft blue eyes moved over the grass that had started to show green, the leaves on the trees as well where budding. She loved spring. It was a time for new things to come. She moved along the wet grass over to the tree. She looked at the small flower buds for a moment. She then looked to the last bits of remaining snow scattered though out her sight. Her ears moved slightly as she took in the sight of the world around her. Though she was an adult Mare she saw is all as if she was a foal again.
She stood there in thought of the live she had lived. Her brother was always there, now he was with another mare all the time. She felt alone now, separated from her life as a child. She lost everything from her parents to her brother. With the feeling of being alone cane the feeling she was no longer protected from the world. She sighed lightly her hot breath dancing across the air in a puff of steam.

Spring wasn't really Amitola's favorite season. Sure, there were tasty buds on trees, and even tastier flowers, but it didn't seem nearly as nice as autumn and winter. He watched a butterfly flutter about, collecting nectar, and looked back at his own wings. Pink... Why pink? Not giving his appearance another thought, the stallion gently plucked a bud from a sapling, only for something to catch his eye and stop his feeding. In the distance, he saw a beautiful dark mare with light hair. Her markings were no other color than pink. He grinned and decided to approach her. "Hello, there, beautiful!" His words were sincere, though they sounded arrogant. He didn't notice.

Armelle moved her head quickly to look to the male. She lowered her ears as she snorted to him. “Can I help you?” She asked as she looked over the bright colored male. She lowered her ears as she snorted at him. Though it was a complement she still found it rude for a greeting. She moved her eyes to his wings slowly. He was quiet the colorful wasn’t he? She flicked her tail softly as she moved her eyes back to his to keep her eyes off the males form. She was always one to study and get to know new races to her.
