((For all those raffle eggs that just hatched, and making their way into this world. Yet not just only for the eggs that just hatched, all are welcome. I would find it interesting if an adult would come and stumbling upon the group.))

The brown white spotted egg began to shake. The shaking was gently at first before it became a bit more rapid as the foal seemed to shift itself inside its warm and cozy egg. The shaking of the egg stopped for a few moments before it began to shake again this time tapping from the inside could be heard as the egg began to hatch. A small hole appeared in the shell of the egg made by the horn on the foal. The end of the small horn could be seen but then it withdrew only to be replaced by a small muzzle as the little creature took in its first breath of air. Withdrawing its nose the small Kirin began to work once more at getting out of its egg. It was warm and cozy yes, but she felt a bit cramped and wanted out.

A few more minutes past and the hole was big enough for her to sticker her whole head through. Cocoa opened her eyes only to shut them again, becoming a bit blinded by the light that seemed through the forest trees to the forest ground in which her egg had been left on. She opened her eyes once more, this time slowly letting them adjust to the brightness of the light. With a small kick of her legs she broke the rest of her egg easily, her whole body brown and white body becoming exposed the forest trees around her.

Once out of her egg she fell onto her back, softly whinnied as she did so. She gave a small snort through her nostrils, after taking in another big breath of air. Her blue eyes grew wide as she stared up at the large tree branches above her. She was curious to what they where, curious to where she was. Her head moved, as she instinctively looked for her mother, yet she was no where to be found. Cocoa's eyes then traveled back up to the trees above her staring in awe for a few more moments before looking around her again. She moved her feet finding she was able to flip herself over to her stomach, still looking around for her mother. It wasn't before long till she began to wonder if she even had one to begin with. She whinnied softly not sure what to do now, or where to go from here. She hadn't even realized yet that she could move more then just from her back to her stomach. One would say that this filly was a bit slow at learning things.

User ImageBeing warmed by the sunlight, the bright white egg continually wiggled, though only slightly. Inside was the small Theron, struggling to stretch out beyond the confines of the egg. Suddenly, with a few swift movements, Theron cracked the egg.

A small bit of light shone through and Theron's eyes began widening to another world. Built up with a bit of excitement, Theron continued his struggle. Quite a number of minutes passed by before Theron finally broke free. The small foal tumbled forward into a patch of leaves. Blinking wildly at the sudden blinding light from the sun, his eyes finally adjusted. Everything was still a bit blurry, but Theron's eyes moved constantly to soak in all the new colors and shapes. For many months, all Theron was able to see was darkness and to see everything so new and fresh was exhilarating.

Theron sat under a tree in the same position for quite a while before his eyes finally became clear. He saw the trees, clouds, birds... everything was so interesting. After all this new information finally soaked in, a new desire began to burn. Theron finally used his wobbly legs to lift himself up. He tried many times, and after a few more he was finally able to stand. Out of instinct, his tail swished back and forth in excitement. Soon after, he figured out he was alone...

Walking forward, slowly, the albino foal started his trek to see what all was out in the world. Theron took easy paths through the thick forest before he heard a small whinny. Curious as to what the noise was, Theron entered another clearing to find a little brown filly. Walking a bit closer, still a little unstable, Theron cocked his head to the side as he peered closer. Losing his balance, Theron's legs gave out and he tumbled forward once again close to Cocoa.

'Ala had been lucky enough to hatch an hour or so ago.

Splayed comfortably on the warm beach sand, her emerald eyes watched as over and over again waves rolled up against the shore. Lifting her head from the ground, she blinked once or twice as she listened carefully. Had she even actually heard anything? Her ears swiveled in the direction of the forest, listening as very faint sounds of rustling were heard again in the distance.

There had to be someone else over there.

Pulling herself to her feet with a little bit of difficulty, 'Ala wobbled through the sand and to the forest's edge, peering into the shady, cool area with a look of interest. Her ears perked up as she heard a whinny, shaking her body to get the sand out of her speckled pelt. She stepped into the woods, watching her feet as they tread across the dead leaves littering the ground.

The filly quickly discovered it was easier than walking in the sand.

Padding quietly through the woods, she crept closer and closer to where the assumed the noises were coming from, peering out from behind the gnarled trunk of a tree to spot two more like herself; wobbly and unsure of themselves. A whinny of her own came from her lungs, ears intently forward and legs carrying her towards the pair before she could even react on her own.

Hearing the rustling in the distance, Theron's attention turned from the filly he just found to the sound from the distance. In reaction his ears swiveled to face the noise just before his head did. The white foal's head turned as a new filly entered the clearing, looking much further along than he was. Curiosity taking over, Theron pushed himself onto his wobbly legs and regained his balance. Becoming stronger by the movement, Theron slowly made his way over to the new filly and bend his head low, keeping his eyes on her.

Cocoa was laying on her back when the Albino colt game into view. She stared at him for a while, to her he looked fairly weird being upside down. Yet it wasn't till a few more moments that she realized she was the one upside down. She rolled herself over, taking two tries to do so, before she was facing him once again, this time being right side up. Her tail gave a few small swishes behind her as she observed him. She had watched him stand upon his legs and then fall over towards her, then the whinny brought her attention off the new colt that had wondered into her clearing up to the other filly that seemed to have done the same. Both seemed to have learned to walk already, or well try. Being as oblivious as a young one could be she still had yet to realized that she too could stand on her legs and walk.

She continued to stare at both of them, quickly glancing back and forth between the two. Truthfully she didn't know what to think, everything was so sudden it was becoming to overwhelm the little filly. Suddenly she became a bit fearful of them, well of the new one that had just come, only because she looked bigger then herself standing on her four hooves like that. Then the colt stood as well intimidating her even more. Giving a small 'squeak' she let her head drop to her forearms, quickly shutting her bright blue eyes. Her tail became still behind her, her ears shifting back on her head.

A bit slow to notice, Theron was not even close to being the same color as the two fillies. Maybe... it was because he was a colt? A few more questions raced through his young mind. Before he got any closer to the new filly or before she could fully react to his presence, Theron was rushed with a flood of energy. His legs coiled as he propelled himself to the side and make short leaps over a few sticks and branches like that of a deer.

Before he knew it, Theron lost his balance again and fell once again into a bush. He wasn't good at this at all. His stubbornness was growing. Theron was not ready to quit.

Crawling back out of the bush, Theron stood once again. This time, he had more grace to his stature. He spread out his legs as he shook any excess leaves or twig from his mane. The sun that shone through small gaps in the branches made his white mane almost glitter.

Theron's inquisitiveness returned when he saw the filly he first met burying her nose between her forelegs. He semi-gracefully walked over to her and nudged her with his nose lightly. Then another one of those strange desires burned within his throat. Giving thought to another matter, Theron backed up to give the brown filly some space.

"Are... you... all right?"

The words came out almost like squeaks at first, but strengthened.

As the white colt had approached, 'Ala reached her nose to him. Startled by his outburst of energy, she pranced a bit where she stood, a soft nicker coming form her throat. Could she do that too? Her legs still felt unsure beneath her, albeit much better then they had been previous to her trek over here. Perhaps it was her first steps in the thick beach sand that made it easier for her to walk now?

Her eyes turned to the other filly, watching with intense curiosity as she let out a noise and hid her face from view. Stepping a little bit closer, she carefully folded her legs beneath her and laid down emerald eyes watching the other still with interest. Her tail swayed behind her, brushing dirt and dead leaves back and forth with it.

When the colt spoke, she startled slightly. Could she do that as well...? A look of concentration set on her face, trying to figure out how exactly to do this.

"...something wrong?" she whispered, barely audible.

Cocoa kept her face from view, her tail stayed still her ears laying as flat as they could be against her head. Yet when she was nudged she almost jumped to her feet, her body jerking. She was frightened of both of them, and having them speak just made her frightened more then she was. When he colt had spoke she jumped backwards, landing on her feet, yet she was unstable upon them and tumbled backwards rolling into a bush. Her body became curled around her head her tail almost able to lay on top of her head. Yet she didn't move from this very uncomfortable position in the bush, she stayed there still like, hoping that maybe they would leave her be.

Cocking his head to the side at Cocoa's sudden fright, Theron watched as the little brown fillie stayed in the bush. Backing up a little bit, to maybe give the little one a bit of space, Theron tripped over a branch and fell on his haunches once again. Still having a bit of a balance problem. He snorted in slight frustration and rolled over to get up once again. Shaking himself off once again, he looked to 'Ala and walked over to her once again.

"He...Hello."

Tail swaying back and forth excitedly, he awaited for a reply.

Her tail tickled her little face causing her to sneeze. The sneeze was big enough that she 'rolled' out of the bush right into their view. She looked up at them her ears shifting back a bit, she opened her mouth to speak but no words game out. Feeling silly instead she closed her mouth and began to giggle slightly. Laughing at her own faults. Laughing also made it easier for her to be in the 'presents' of the others. She looked up at them again this time taking a long good look. At the look of things they were about the same size, yet just different colors. A small grin came to her face as she decided to try to stand as well and pushed herself onto her hooves. She was shakily but soon found her balance, but it was only for a few moments before she fell back onto her stomach one again, beginning to giggle once more.
