Most of you are quite lucky to be young and unemployed, I thought I would make a thread about stupid things to happen at work. If you do have a job, please share your stories here!
Things that bug me about my customers. (I work at a food place by the way)
-If you ask them a simple question, like "Would you like the crusted or the grilled chicken?" They will stare at you like they just came to America and are baffled by having the ability to choose a chicken. Then they will stare for a while, thinking really hard, like its a life or death situation.
-For two of the dishes we serve, they customer has an option between parmesan and feta cheese for the garnish, so I ask "parmesan or feta?" and they reply "yes"
-Some people actually come up and ask for noodles, not being at all specific. We have like 20 different noodle dishes.
-Children are the worst, they come in with their allowance, which happens to be all in singles and hand it to me in a crumpled pile, so then I have to take the time to straighten them all out to fit in my drawer.
-Some children refuse to use a fork for their mac n cheese. These are like 10 year old kids by the way, and they demand a spoon, so after serving them their food, you have to run all the way back to the kitchen to get them a spoon, then they usually ask for napkins, so you keep running back and forth from one table to the kitchen.
-I get lots of creepy old men hitting on me. After one ordered, I asked "will this be for here or to go?" and he replies "Ill have the food here, but Ill take you to go." I wanted to die.
-A Lot of people like to forget their table numbers so then we get to run around the restaurant, hunting them down. Or they will take their number and hide it under their newspaper or something.
-Where I work, you leave the dishes on the table and a buser will come clean it up, some people do not know this and will take their trash, bring it up to the registers and leave it like right in front of my register, even when I'm dealing with another customer.
-Some people actually try to con us for free food or "refunds". If we mess up a togo order, and they call in angry, we are supposed to write down their names so they can get a free dish next time they are in, a lot of people take advantage of this, its pretty sad. We rarely mess up orders.
-We have had some creepy homeless people come in and actually bug the customers to like share their food with them. One homeless guy actually sat down at some ladies table and bugged her for a while till we had to throw him out, he wasn't too happy about that and hung around the front door for like three hours.
-The grossest thing to happen at my work, was actually a week before I started, someone took a bunch of toilet paper, put it on the bathroom floor, like a nest, and took a s**t in it.
People are ******** nuts.

Ahh, that must have been disgusting......
Reminds me of the time in my elementary school, some kid convinced another to wipe his dung all over the bathroom stall. Like, ALL over it. He made designs, wrote things, etc. It was crazy. But remember, this was Elementary school.
The person doing this in your store must have been much older, which is really sad.
