Aa, yes I had wondered about his albinism. It worked in the past but that was years ago, but I can see how it wouldn't work this time around I'll have him not be a candidate. (I can't see him as a rider in my mind anyway after so long so~ xD) The flit issue was mildly concerning myself as well but I would like for him to have the companion so I can alter it to be that it was just hatched. Thell herself will be more a mild nuisance in the Tailor's shop getting herself into his threads and possibly hiding a few needles. (The system for bringing flits in without too many of them sounds great to me, I could see a swarm of them around otherwise so that bit can easily be held off until the system is put into place. :3 )

The flits probably won't be difficult to obtain for those who are willing to stay around the thread and rp and chat and stuff, so no major worries. ^^ I'm sure you'll pick up your flit in no time.

Name: Kita

Age: 16

Sex: M

Craft: Tailor

Rank: Apprentice

Physical Description: Of moderate height, Kita stands at around 5 and a half heads high. Unfortunately he was born with the genetic traits for albinism and so suffers from the lack of pigmentation in his skin and eyes, and pale pigmentation in his hair. The hindrance this causes physically is mild, a slight sensitivity to sunlight to his eyes that he can usually ignore unless he has to be out during the peak of the day, and sensitive skin that can burn easily when exposed to the sunlight for amounts of time branching out more than an hour or so. His hair is a pale blonde due to the minimal pigmentation, and kept short. His bangs hang just over his eyes for a little bit of shade, and in the back it is just long enough to be tied in a small bundle when he works. Usually he wears a cloth covering over his hair to keep the pale color less noticeable as he doesn't quite like the attention the oddity gives him.

Personality: Kita is a quiet boy nearly devoted to his apprenticeship and his little companion as his only real "loves" in the world. When he has free time and isn't learning the trade or practicing with his own clothes, he's spending time with Thell in some shade and watching others go about their business in the weyr. If he can be of help to someone with chores or cleaning, he's likely to offer it if he has the time and it doesn't involve too much venturing into the sun without his altered shirts to cover his arms from the burning. He isn't one that likes fighting and avoids the weyrbrats when he has the ability too, but he has no problem with standing up for himself as long as they're not too much bigger than himself. otherwise he'll stand down and simply put aside the quarrel as nothing more than an argument that can be steeped over later, or ranted about to Thell later on if he needs to get it out.

History: Kita was born to simple weyrfolk parents, his father a fisherman who never quite reached his potential as a Journeyman and seemed quite happy with himself how life was, and his mother a kind woman who liked to see everyone well fed and watched for. When he was born the albinism was worrisome but as he grew his parents learned that it wasn't as much a hindrance as it had been made out to be in their minds. he played just like other children, and learned quickly how long it took for sunlight to burn his skin a little and stuck to shady areas to avoid it most of the time without much trouble. When he reached the age to start looking for a craft, he immediately knew what he would want to work in and found a tailor willing to give him the apprenticeship. Most of his free time from the start was working with his own clothing and altering it to cover his arms in thin sleeves from the sunlight and moved on to using scraps of cloth to try and make his clothes from scratch with that when he wasn't fixing tears and split seams and learning the art of a seam that can hold without fraying even with the most strenuous work, his master was quite proud of his seamwork and often boasted as he taught. He came about having Thell as a companion when his master sent him to purchase more threads from a trader and nearly tripped over the hatchling lizard with her egg shell on the sand. Taking pity on the small creature, and feeling at fault partly for its sandy covering being disturbed by his passing by, he offered it a small bit of the fruit in his bag and Thell never left him alone after that. His master wasn't very pleased with the creature entering the shop but put it aside when his threads were delivered and a customer walked in for some expensive seamwork to be done.

Pets: Thell, a green flitter

Other/Talents: Kita is good at listening, a trait his master does seem grateful for, and often can be found sitting near a riders' table to listen in on their talk of flights and other things for the sheer teenage curiosity that he shares with many other weyrmates.
