Adia stepped out of the main den and into the sun while guarding her eyes from it's brightness. For once she was alone at the dens entrance as she'd given Sanguine an afternoon off from guarding her. He wasn't too keen on letting her go without him but when she told him Santos would be with her he was a bit easy to remove from her side. Moving forward she sat down at the edge of the rock platform and looked out upon her lands. Sometimes to her this all still felt like a dream but she'd done pinched herself enough to know that wasn't true.
Curling her tail around the front of her feet she then gave a sigh. Today would be a good day with the plans she and Santos had. Time away from the den together wasn't something they got to do often but when they did it was time of bliss for them both. She almost couldn't wait for Santos to emerge ready for their time together.

As Santos began the climb to meet his queen it was easy to see his head was still wrapped in business for the time being. He was giving Ryme a message and briefing Razi on his tasks for the time that the King and Queen would not be readily available. He wasn't really worried about the pride, as it had run just fine under the capable paws on his sons many times, but he didn't like having to put so much pressure on them sometimes.
His muscles visibly relaxed as he saw Adia and cleared the space between them, nuzzling her gently. Her smell was intoxicating to him, and he longed to make up the time they hadn't been able to spend together. So much to do, so little time together. He wanted to just pause life for a few days and go on a mini adventure with his mate. Sadly he wasn't sure if his old bones were up to it.
"Hello, love." He purred into her ear. He could hear one of the members calling for him, but he merely flicked his ear knowing that one of their children would solve any problem that arose. "You ready to go?"
