Sinzia was padding along with purpose in his steps. They were, unfortunately, the only part of him that seemed to have any intention. Their goal was simple: to move his body along at a nice clip, keeping his heart rate up without wearing him out. His feet didn't need to have a reason for their occupation, nor did they care about a destination or even a completion time. It was up to other parts of him to worry about those things.
They were not doing their job, however, and he was abandoned to wander, at a quick pace, aimlessly. He was bored, restless, lazy and hungry. Nothing seemed to work with anything else, his head ordering him to sleep, his stomach telling him to hunt, his limbs forcing him to move while his mind told him to find something else to do. He needed to occupy himself.
He needed to find some trouble to stir up.
Heaving a sigh, he came to an abrupt stop and cast a glance around. The area was unfamiliar to him, and thus he imagined his reputation had not already spoiled any fun he might find here. Shaking his head, his thick scruff beating the air as his neck reacted to the motion. Beating his paws against the earth impatiently, he sniffed the air for any trace of company.
It was going to be great, Sin already knew, when he found them. His head was already full of stories. All he needed to do was decide on one and find the perfect dope to pull it off on.

Sauda found herself laying in the open. She was enjoying the sun. Things had been crazy for her, or at least she thought so. She felt so lost, it was nice to just lay down and not think about it. Enjoy the sun. Her head was against the cold earth, eyes shut. Someone could almost mistake her as something dead. There were already vultures flying around above her, watching for any movement she might give. Hoping that she wouldn't move long enough to think she's dead.
But every once in a while she'd twitch a leg or a tail. She wasn't sleeping. Just relaxing. Though, it looked as if she could be sleeping. She gave a sigh, and a snort. Which in doing so caused her to sneeze. She finally sat up, but didn't make any other movements to get fully off the ground. Bits of dirt and grass clung to her fur. She wasn't sure how long she'd been sitting there, nor did she really care. She just was enjoying the quiet time.

Sin spotted a black lump that didn't look like anything too natural. Being a scavenger at heart, he immediately thought it was food, and he moved instinctively toward it, stomach growling despite the fact that he had just had something to eat. He sniffed the air and didn't catch wind of the scent of rotting flesh. Maybe it was still alive. Or maybe it was dying. Maybe it had only recently died. His thoughts got more hopeful as he approached.
And then the lump sneezed, and Sin knew he was probably not going to be eating it any time soon.
Blinking, he watched it sit up and recognized it to be a hyena. He spent so little time in the company of his own species, he didn't quite know what to do with this new discovery. He frowned, slightly bitter that it wasn't just an animal carcass, and scoffed.
"Morning," he said, though it wasn't anything close to morning. The sky was already beginning to purple, "you've got some grass on your fur. Look a bit disoriented. Have a nice nap?"

A voice came into the picture almost instantly as she had sat up. She turned her head slowly towards the other. She would have normally jumped, but for some reason she just wasn't that jumpy to do. "Oh... What?" She started off, she hadn't heard the first part of what he said. "Oh, I wasn't napping." She told him honestly. She didn't like lying to anyone, even if it was a small lie like that. She gave a smile to the male as she noticed it was another hyena. "Good afternoon, no?" she asked looking up at the sky. It seemed peaceful. The male was odd looking, she looked back at him with a another smile. He reminded her of a flower that had dropped in the mud.

sinzia tilted his head. He watched her carefully. The last time he had met another hyena it had been slightly antagonistic, and he didn't fancy getting into another deep, philosophical discussion again. He wanted to have fun. He was bored, after all. Anyway, she looked confused already. It wouldn't be too hard to deceive her, right?
Sinzia loved lying. He was almost never telling the truth, really.
"It is a good afternoon. I'm having a great day. Just got away from the family, heading out here for a bit of a jog before heading back," he said, none of that statement true besides the good afternoon bit. He had no family, no friends. He had nothing.
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything, though."

It sounded lovely on what he said. Though, she didn't know that he was lying at all. "Oh! that's always good to do" She spoke. She too, had a family she was away form, though she wouldn't lie about something like that. She smiled at him. "Oh no, no! Not interrupting anything at all" She insisted to say. Sauda loved having fun, weather it was racing, just playing, or just talking. Most anything was fun to her. Unless it was bad, and hurt others.

The yellow and brown hyena grinned. It was a warm, friendly expression, but there was something ever so slightly off about it. Maybe not noticeably so, but he was aware of it. In his head he knew that he was playing a game, and only he knew the rules. That's what made it fun.
"That's good! I'm a bit lonely, I have to admit. It's hard, hanging around with the same people every day. Sometimes I think it would be fun to get out and make new friends, but I can't really find the time. Except today. And I met you! What are the odds, huh?"
He smiled at her, sitting down and wagging his tail, "I'm Sinzia, by the way. Or Sin, if you like. That's what most of my friends call me. Not the best nickname, but what can I do?" He laughed.

Sauda wasn't one to notice anything. She loved to think everyone was upfront about everthing and would never lie. Though, there were many out there who'd love to fool her. Like this male. She smiled at him, tail wagging. "OH! Isn't that the truth!" She said with a small giggle. How wonderful it was to run into someone else who was kind, and enjoyable to be around. She hadn't ran into anyone like that in a while. A bit of a depressing mood between her and Letladika. It was nice to have change for once.
"I'm Sauda!" She smiled at him. "And Sin is only a bad name if the one with it is bad." She told him with a smile. She thought it was a interesting nickname. Though, the meaning of it wasn't too great, but she was sure that he wasn't like his nick name suggested. Besides, his name wasn't that, it was only shortening of his name. Now if his name was something else, and others called him Sin, she'd be a bit curious on why.

"Well, I'm glad to meet you, Sauda!" The perpetual liar said, though that wasn't quite a fib. He wasn't put off meeting her, for sure, so why couldn't he be glad for it? She was, after all, providing him with some entertainment for the time being. He wagged his wiry tail, shaking his thick neck and letting his mane flop from side to side.
"I guess that's right. I'm not too bad. Not a sin, in any case. Sure, I make my mistakes, but what good creature on this planet can say they don't? It's natural, to every species, right? We've all got some bad in us, just like we all have a lot more good in us." He grinned. This character was becoming interesting.
Sin was not a very 'belief' oriented person. He had no thoughts of his own about life, the universe, and everything. Things happened, he went with them. This character he was playing, though, seemed to have some views to share.
"So, what do you think about finding something fun to do?"

She nodded at him. "You really can't go on in life without having or doing one bad thing." She said with a smile. Hell, she'd killed things, and that was bad. Though it wasn't since she was surviving off of them. She didn't know if that was still considered a sin or not. She smiled at the male. He seemed pretty nice. "Can't really stop somethings from happening" She spoke truth.
"Sounds good, it's rather boring here." She spoke with a laugh. She hadn't remembered the last time someone asked her to join them in a bit of fun. It was when she met Letladika, she thought. Boy, did she need to get out more.

"Alright then!" Sinzia said exuberantly, all smiles. He bounded away a bit, zigzagging and coming back to her, bushy tail wagging. This character was apparently energetic and fun. It was already wearing him out, though he didn't show it. The normally very lethargic hyena was going to play his part to the best of his ability.
"Have you ever tried to catch birds?"
He grinned, motioning with his paw to a large stretch of open savannah nearby. There were birds sitting among the grass, a large flock of them. The idea had only just come to him. He had never tried anything like it before, either, but he knew it was all a matter of confidence. If he acted like he knew what he was doing, then chances were he'd be successful. At least enough not to blow his cover.
"It's a really fun game I learned as a pup. All you do is run into a big nesting flock and see if you can catch them in your jaws before they fly away. Whoever gets the most wins!"

"catch.... birds? No?" She curiously looked at him. Totally fooled by his pretend personality. Hell, if they met later on and he acted different, she'd probably think he wasn't the same hyena at all. Just looked the same and had the same name. She wasn't too smart in that aspect of life. Though, she knew it could happen. She did meet a wild dog that was named Sauda too.
"is it fun?" She asked. She never thought of trying to hurt the birds unless she was truly hungry, even then she never got the nerve to even try. "As a pup?" She said curiously. "We don't hurt the birds, right?"

"It's the most fun you can ever have, ever!" He said, nodding his head like this was the ultimate truth in life. There was nothing else worth knowing, compared to this one statement. Catching birds was the most fun ever. Period.
Of course, he would probably not feel that way if he had actually done it before, or if he had chosen a different character, but hey. As far as this version of Sin was concerned, catching birds was awesome.
"Come on," he said, bouncing toward the field, "there's only one way to know if it's fun or not, right? Can't take me at my word," he tried not to snort at that statement, "you've got to try it for yourself!" He led the way to the grass, crouching low as they drew nearer to the birds. Any sudden movement would start their flying off.
"I'll let you lead the charge," he whispered, grinning pleasantly.

She followed him in a trot as he went. Listening to him as they went. Well, he was nice, and did seem to know what he was talking about. But he never answered her question.... Where they going to hurt them? He didn't seem like the type that would want to hurt them, so she figured they were just going to chase them. She eased up on the idea a bit more.
As he told her to lead the charge she looked slightly confused. "Do.... Do I just run at them?" She asked him to make sure she was going to do it right. She just didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of someone new.

Sinzia hadn't actually heard the question about hurting the birds, though he probably would have just lied about it if he had. This, however, might come back to get him soon, considering he was fully intent on eating the birds, and not just catching them in his mouth. But that was just a bridge he'd have to cross when he got there.
"Yup, just run!" He said, taking the initiative to ease her trepidation, "like this!"
He let out a whoop and took off running toward a group of birds, barking wildly as they scattered into the sky. He jumped and caught one by the tail, but it slipped away. Laughing, he watched as they flew in a circle and, because he was standing still, settled not too far away. Grinning, feathers in his teeth, he looked back at her.
"Your turn!" he called quietly.
