Physical Description: Of average height, with a somewhat athletic build, mousy brown hair and blue-grey eyes. She is just beginning to come into her womanhood, and rebels against it by wearing loose clothing. She generally has her hair drawn back into a messy ponytail to keep her hair from her eyes when she works.
Personality: Somewhat cautious in nature, she holds back the full force of her personality when she's getting to know people. However, when in the right setting, she is quite brassy and pleasant to be around, her laugh is loud and she smiles often. She prefers a supporting role, loves to give guidance to her friends (and well, anyone who will listen!), and is an industrious worker. She tends to avoid conflict, generally becoming very quiet and withdrawn whenever someone she doesn't like (or whom she feels doesn't like her) is nearby. She only snaps when she's having especially bad days. She is a little naive, and can be far too trusting for her own good.
History: The eldest daughter of a couple of Weyrworkers at Ista, Lynna was good friends with the weyrbrats there, and trained in the traditions of the Weyr at a young age. Her parents encouraged her VERY strongly to forget life as a dragonrider, and got her involved in work around the Weyr at a very age. When she was 5 her father had her feeding the Weyr animals, and by the time she was 10 her mother had her working in the Kitchens nearly every day. There she has worked for 5 years, serving the dragonriders who barely know her on sight, let alone her name.
That is, until one night she was asked to help serve a large meal to visiting Lord and Lady holders at a Gather in the Weyrbowl - the young dragonpair that was helping her carry the food from the Weyr kitchen sensed in her the potential to impress. Now she will walk the sands for the first time at the next hatching. She is ecstatic about this, though her parents seem very discouraging about the whole matter. They are just trying to protect her, in case she doesn't impress - but she doesn't understand why they won't just be happy for her.
