Settling in the cool and fast waters, the shaman closed her eyes. She let the wind brush over her pelt and whisper to her of things that most would ignore. She let the water run over her feet letting her feel the swirling emotions it hid. She took in deep breaths smelling the love and corruption throughout the land. Her minds eye would show her many different things, but everything seemed clouded today. As if the elements were distracted by another force....another soothsayer perhaps? But who?

Having never been able to see, Triton Tiresias's family was very very protective over him and he was understandably (to all but him) not allowed to leave the eye line of his mother and father. However his sister Vivian had always managed to slip away and would tell him of all of the amazing things behond their parents grips, fueling Triton's desire to get out and experience them for himself. Unlike most other blind lions, TT could sense things, see without seeing as it were but not only the present- sometimes the past or the present. The gift was something none of his family, including himself understood so it was kept quiet.

Today was different, today his sister had gotten into trouble and Triton knew it would be the perfect opportunity to get out and explore a bit. Majorly test what he could or could not do. As he walked he tried to look as natural as possible, able to step over major obstacles but small things stumbled him up a bit. His eyes were wide open but all he truly saw of the world was pitch black save glowing objects to avoid, that was until he came closer to the lunar. Things shifted a bit and the kit froze, no longer able to interpret what he 'saw'.

The female opened her eyes slowly before looking over to where the cub stood. She looked blind, but in a sense, Dreamscape could see better than most lions. At the cub, she smiled giving a light "Ahhh.." as if understand why her frequency had been mangled.

"So," She whispered softly. "You're the one." The female murmured before giving a chuckle. "I see you finally found one of your own, Triton Tiresias. Beautiful name for a beautiful child." She smiled to the cub. "Your parents must be worried."

Triton was very confused, but characteristicaly not alarmed as he turned his head towards her. The female had a very soothing voice almost wooing.

Cocking head he thought about what the female had said, "Thank you.." Pausing for a second he normally could only see general outlines of others around him but this female had a very clear appearance in his blackness, color for color. "I'm sorry... Have we met?" His father would be proud of him for maintaining his composure for sure.

With a smile, she nodded. "In your dreams..." She slipped from the water onto the land. Reaching out her mind, she let him see through her eyes and all the color. "My dear, you are a Soothsayer...or a Shaman as many would call us. You have the ability to communicate with nature and the like. Your gifts are rare and your talent is even more rare. You have a natural born talent that those like me would have killed to have when I was in training..." With a gentle purr, she looked over to the small cub. "I can help you in commanding your skill as a shaman. Let you see what you haven't seen in so long. That your heart desires to see, and much more." Her tail flicked a little with a gentleness about her as her mind continued to be joined with his. "What do you say?"

Tears formed at Triton's eyes and slipped down his cheek. Everything around him was so beautiful, as was the female infront of him. She was different in even form, she was not as his parents were.

"Dreamscape..." Walking towards her he could see his feet and even himself through her mind, if that was her name or not he did not fully know. Quickly he looked up towards the sky to see what color blue the sky really was before retuning his attention to the female, "Please, teach me.."

A shaman? Him? The information that she gave him was still swirling in his head. His father was not the only one that he'd work to impress, if many would kill for things he could do, he had a responsibility to use them to the betterment of all. But first he had to learn how to use them.. One day he'd have to thank Vivian for this...

With a smile, Dreamscape lowered her maw to his head nudging him gently before letting the whispering of the wind take them both.

For seasons upon seasons Dreamscape taught him to harness his power, letting him see through his mind's eyes. She taught him how to listen to the little voices of nature that most sought to ignore. She would often leave him on his own to see if he really grasped what he taught her. He was learning well, and he never disappointed her. He even exceeded what she thought he couldn't handle.

So, back to where they met the first time. Dreamscape was in the water her eyes closed in meditation. But she wasn't alone. Beside her was the student she took on such a long time ago. Her tail flicked lightly. "Triton Tiresias...tell me...what do you see? Wat you hear? Who speaks to you?" It was all in his mind all in the lessons he was taught.

Now an adult, Triton sat with his eyes closed wading in the river with his teacher. There was smile on his face as the unspoken graduation commensed between the two.

"I hear a frog sleeping up river on a rock not too far away, but quite far I hear a disagreement between sisters on a male." A small smirk crossed his lips but then he continued, "I see.." what he saw then was a reoccuring image that he marked off for being hormones.

With a shake of his mane he quickly looked for something else to see, luckily he did see something more serious. His face tensed as he consentrated, "I see a father being slewn by his son, with a very very dark heart..." A couple of seconds passed as he focused, "this is a dream that I see. By a lion full of vengence. And yet I have no desire to save the father, for there is a bad air about him as well.. Spirits slain by his paw prevent me from interfearing." Triton Tiresias pulled himself out of the vision and put his attention to his teacher.

"Dreamscape, am I wrong to not interfear?"

She smiled listening in onto his observations of the land. Observations that were many miles away from them. Her tail flicked a little before she opened her eyes to look at him, a small smile on her face. "My dear pupil what do you think? Is there a way to save the sinner without slaying the innocent?" Her tail waved gingerly, her demeanor calm. "You could interfere all you wish, my Triton, but would the outcome change? Would the deaths be avoided or would it result int he death of others? You must choose wisely if you wish to intervene with fate, my child."

The pet names sooted Triton, until the 'my child' when he was focused to once again remember the reality. He nodded at his mentor's advice thinking about it for a moment, pushing the thoughts of the crush he had developed on her out of his head.

"I think that if the situation were different and if the father did not as well harness a dark heart then I would not hesitate. But both being evil, I think they should be observed but left alone.

Can you see your own future, Dreamscape?" His tone was innocent and calm while inside he prayed she could not see his heart threatning to leave his chest.

Dreamscape nodded. "That is correct, darling." The word slipped out with more affection than she intended. She would have to pray tonight to the Fates to forgive her for her sins.

Flicking her tail, she stepped from the water onto the land taking in a deep breath. At his question, she smiled. "No, Triton, I cannot, nor do I wish to. Sometimes the future must be left to the Fates, yes?" Her soulless eyes followed him for a moment. When it came to him, she could never quite read what was going on. "Is something the matter, my dear?"

Come on Triton, now's the best time to tell her how you feel. Yes, that's right. She's giving you perfect oppertunity, just say it 'i love you' ready? One... Two... He opened his mouth to speak what had been on his mind since he reached the age in which it was appropriate to think such things when another male interupted. How did he bypass TT's radar and get so close to Dreamscape without him noticing?! She was a big girl, she would surely not believe a word he had to say...

"My my, what do we have here?" Darinius looked up and down the beautiful lunar female with a smirk on his face and dirty thoughts running through his mind. Looking from one to the other he knew that they could not be together, the 'adult' lion was still filling out his mane where as he looked flawlessy aged like a fine wine. He re-adjusted the peace symbol around his neck as he continued with a bow of respect.

"I will have to thank my lucky stars- a beauiful lunar lioness gracing the presence of us daywalkers. And with such beautiful eyes at that... What name did the wise fates give to you my darling?" He was as good of a listener as he was silver tounged..

Dreamscape waited for him to speak when all of a sudden a male came into view. She caught a glimpse of his mind and immediately felt dirty for what she saw. He was screaming "sinner" as if it was branded upon his forehead. Her tail flicked idly a little letting him speak. "My name is Dreamscape..." She stated, moving tranquilly over to her student. "And this is Triton Tiresias..." Her words were as smooth as her movements, her body or eyes showing no emotion. "What do you call yourself, Silver Tongue?"

Triton sat up more straight and in a slightly aggressive stance before he came out of the water they were wading in to stand beside her. Although he felt there would be no fight in the immediate future between the two lions, TT did not want to give off the illusion that he did not care.

Demetrius saw the action and simply thought it was cute. "Easy there, I'm not going to hurt her.." Unless that's what she was into.. "My Father told me that when I was born Brother Wind whispered a name into his ear. Honoring our family, The Spirits all around us, I was named Demetrius." Knowing fully well that he was coming on quite strong, Demetrius took a step forward, changing his demeanor into one of more humble origins.

"Please, accept my apologies for my advancements. My family and I do believe in fate, everything happening for a reason, and trusting the governing spirits. And I do believe that I was fated to come this way across such a beautiful lioness. I see my fate dangling in front of me, it's in my nature to drop my inhibitions and put everything I have into obtaining it." Then he paused and waited to see the female's reactions. Most of that was actually true.

Listened to his words searching him as she did. He kept himself guarded...she didn't know whether to be wary or be impressed. With a flick of her nail, she nudged Triton a little calming the male. She sent calm over his frame to ease his tension before staring over to the one named Demetrius. "Strong name. Good name." She gave a little chuff of a comment. "I too believe in Fate..." Though her fate was clouded, she did see his colors in a dream once.

And his name was written across the sky. She looked over to Triton Tiresias still aware that the sinner stamp was all over him. She wondered if her pupil could sense it without giving anything away.
