Okay, folks. This is the main RP thread.

Things are going to be a bit different when it comes to the RP from now on, though.

How we're going to handle it is as follows:

We're going to start each thread with a basic plot. This will be known as a "Season". At each season's conclusion, we will close the thread, and move it to the Archives, then start a new thread for the new season.

Also, we're going to start capping the threads at 75 pages. If this 75 mark comes in the middle of a season, we'll leave both threads in the main forum, but upon a season's conclusion, both threads get moved to the Archives.

Everybody following me here?

Okay, so Season One will just be an introduction for all the characters, to get everyone settled into the RP.

So, without further ado, let the RPing begin!

It was a bright new day in Bayville. Or at least, it would be, if the weather didn't suck as much as it did.

Bayville had been hit with one of those freak February snowstorms, and everything was still thawing out. Everything was damp and cold, and there was mud everywhere. The skies were gray, but there was a bit of sun peeking through every now and then. Hopefully, the weather would get better soon.

Fortunately for the students of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the weather was considerably better in the area surrounding the school. After all, there have to be at least a couple perks to having a weather goddess as a staff member. The grounds were still considerably damp, but things were drying up slightly faster than anywhere else, mostly due to the influence of a Miss Ororo Munroe. While she could have easily had the sun shine in and dry everything up all at once, that would draw a lot of undue attention to the school. So, everyone would have to settle for it being only a few degrees warmer.

But on as gray a day as this, even a few degrees was a welcome change. However, most of the students were inside at the time, enjoying the dry, warm weather that a roof over your head tended to afford.

To say that Kira was misreable would have been an understatment. The sixteen year-old was soaked with melted snow and slush, her backpack had run out of food somewhere in Pennsylvania, and to top it all off her cell phone was dead so she couldn't even call home and listen to the answering machine like she had done half a dozen other times after leaving home, but none of that mattered now. Straight ahead was a large, well, huge mansion surrounded by a stone wall.

"Finally..." She said in relief. Walking to the gate she saw the com-link to call in, but was suddenly terrified. What if this school was just another trap set by the anti-mutants? Shaking her head she denied such thoughts, this place was her only chance to be safe from those stalking freaks. Reaching out she pressed the button, "Hello? Is anyone there, I wanted to see Professor Xavier,...please." She said, her voice was shaking and weak from the long trip as well as from fear.

{I apologize in advance if I don't reply right after your next post. Gotta run down to the grocery store and pick up some stuff for my mum.}

BZZZT. BZZZT. The mansion end of the gate intercom was going off, letting out it's familiar buzzing sound. "I've got it!" a white-haired man called out, heading to the intercom and pushing the reply button.

"Sure thing. I'll buzz you in," he said, his voice crackling out of the speaker by the gate. Within a few moments, a buzzing sound was heard from the gate speakers, and the steel entryway opened to allow the girl through.

Kira was slightly taken back by how friendly the person seemed, after all she had just spend three weeks running from people who were trying to make her life a living nightmare. Still wary she trudged up the long driveway and to the door. She could almost feel the warmth radiating from the house and for some reason everything really did seem warmer around here.

Holding on the door knob she opened it slightly and pulled herself inside. Shivering and dripping she looked around before calling out, "Hel..helo?" To see if anyone would respond, if they acted as nice as they sounded maybe this place really was what it was said to be.

"Hey there!" called the same voice that the girl had heard over the intercom. Coming down the stairs was a smiling, white-haired male. "You wanted to see the Professor, right? Down that hall, first set of double-doors. You can't miss it," he said, pointing her towards one of the hallways.

"I'm Morgan, by the way," he said, smiling jovially.

Kira blinked in response to the cheerie young man, his attitude seemed to contradict everything she had just been through, and it was exactly what she needed. "Um, uh, Thanks... alot." She managed to get out before looking in the direction he had pointed. As she started walking she heard the sqeaking of her wet boots and turned back just long enough to say, "Sorry about the water, its kind of wet." She managed with a slight grin before heading for the doors he had directed her to.

Unsure of how to introduce herself considering she had just walked into their house with no warning she knocked hesitantly. "Ummm, excuse me?" She ventured.

Her eye twitched as she fumbled for the keys in her pockets with cold hands. I think I'm gonna get myself gloves next time I'm downtown. Kara thought to herself as she got a hold of them finally and after a few moments of more fumbling got the door open to the brotherhoods home. Closing the door behind her she called out, "I'm home!" Not that anyone cares, they're all in it for themselves in this place. She thought moodily as she removed her shoes and put them on the mat near the door and then hung her trench coat on the peg on the wall.

She didn't know what was wrong with her the last few days, no one was really around and when they were they were always talking about getting back at the x-men for whatever reason they deemed good enough at the time. No one wanted to hang out and have fun anymore. Shaking the snow out of her hair and off her cat-like ears she yawned and went over to the couch in the living room and settled down onto it. Kara dropped her backpack on the floor next to her seat and picked up the remote, mentally vowing to do her homework at a later point in the day.

"Don't worry about it," Morgan replied with a smile. The poor girl looked like she'd been through hell on her way here, and it seemed the warm greeting was doing wonders for her mood. Besides, there was no point in getting worked up over a few puddles of water.

The professor looked up from the book he had been reading at his desk when he was alerted to the sound of the door opening, and the small voice that asked for his attention.

"Oh, hello there," he was, smiling warmly. "What can I do for you?" he asked, his intelligent eyes peering at the girl.

It was a bright day in bayville, so that naturally meant Valerie was in a bad mood not that it mattered what type of weather was around...Valerie was generally grumpy during anything rain or shine! she was leaning on the sofa her knees digging into the fabric of the downtrodden padding, her elbows lodged against the windowpane and her face pressed firmly against the glass, her tanned cheeks expanded against the transparant window with the held intact of air in her mouth, her button nose wedged upwards slightly. Bright blue eyes stared out onto the front lawn of the Brotherhood mansion, nothing seemed to be happening which was a blessing really when she was generally surrounded by idiocy and noise, neither of which she approved off, beside her sat a little blue creature about the size of a baby, his tiny arms crossed firmly across his chest a pout adorned his cheeky looking face.

"Valerie-Chan...I thought you said we were going out today....you lied to me again!"

The little creature known as Mizu looked upwards at his mistress but turned when he heard a sound from the door as someone entered the House, he stood up and toddled to the door blinking when he saw the Cat-Girl returning from her outing, he followed the girl as she walked into the living room and sat on the sofa, Valerie didnt seem to notice and kept her face kept splat against the glass the sound of air escaping from the teens mouth and the glass fogged up with condensation. The blonde turned her head slightly and gave Kara a blearly look half her face still pressed up against the window

"Ohmph...Hay Kalah..."

She mumbled half the words sounding odd without the full use of mouth, Mizu ran up and sat next to the girl with a little grin hoping that she would amuse him more than his boring partner, but she seemed more focused on watching tv than amusing the little blue him, he'd have to find his own amusement even if he wasnt allowed to leave the house without Valerie...regular humans wouldnt understand seeing a tiny water drop running around the place.

Kira entered the room at the professor's prompting. At first she was amazed simply by the look of the man, he seemed so formal, understanding, almost timeless, though this quickly passed as she apporached the desk and stood with her hands held tightly behind her back.

"Sorry to interrupt you. My name is Kira Nikon and I've been running for a while, I heard that you might be able to help me." She said as clearly as she could, though she had imagined a million times what she would say and how she would bargin, it was all thrown out the window with this man. Somehow, she finally felt calm, but that could easily have been because this man exuded calmness and she was picking up on it.

Coming out of her channel flipping stupor when she heard Valerie's voice she grinned. "Hey Valerie-chan," Then she noticed Mizu taking a seat next to her. "And Mizu-kun." Kara said tilting her head slightly as she curled her tail around Mizu then grinning at him with her fangs exposed slightly.

"It's horrid out. All muddy and stuff. I've gotta clean off my boots, I'll be lucky if they're not ruined." She sighed as her ears drooped. Her violet eyes went from Mizu to Valerie. "You look bummed Val, whats goin' on?"

"I see. Well, then I believe you've come to the right place," the professor said, wheeling himself out from behind his desk, and around to Kira's side of the desk. "If you've heard about this place, then no doubt you have a very special gift," he explained in his soft voice. "Though, if you've been running, as you've told me, then it's doubtless that the people you are running from do not see it that way. Am I correct thus far?" he asked, keeping his eyes fixed on her.

Kira shivered slightly, the atmosphere was still calming, but now it was somehow more exacting, though it was mostly because the professor had pretty much hit the nail on the head. She turned her head to look at the book case as he came closer and her arms moved to hug her chest.

"There are some anti-mutant activist who have been stalking me and my family for two years now. No matter where we went they followed and destroyed what we managed to set up." Her eyes looked close to tears as her head snapped to stare at the professor.

"I couldn't stay home, I couldn't make my parents live that way, wondering if when they would have to move again, where they could get another job,...If our house would still be standing when we got home!" She choked back a sob, she had definately not intended to get this emotional right away, but she guessed the professor had a right to know what could happen if she stayed.

"I couldn't stay home, so I ran. I didn't tell my parents but they might have guessed, I don't know." She started shaking her head. "If those men find out I'm here they'll come, they always find out and they always come. I was hoping that maybe you could somehow make them stop, no judge though." Her voice ended in defeat, tired, hungry, and getting up after an emotional freefall she looked back at the professor, belightly remembering that she could have been making him feel everything she had been feeling and regretting it.

{Telepathy will be in bold italics.}

The professor placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You are safe here," he said.

"And you are not alone. There are at least half a dozen other students who have had similar problems in their past. And all the students here have gifts of their own. That is why I established this school in the first place. It is so people like yourself, and the dozens of other students here, can learn to control their gifts and use them to better both themselves and the rest of the world," Xavier explained.

"If you would like, I can contact your parents for you, and let them know you are safe. Also, we can prepare a room for you. For now, you can place your belongings in Kitty's room," he said. Kitty, we have a new student. She'll be sharing a room with you for a short while. Could you come down and lead her there?

"She'll be down in a moment," he added.
