I don't want her to leave. She was not always like that, so it seems. I just want the normal nightwish, with no new singer. I love her voice but I do not like her attitude. I seriously will have some trouble if they get a new vocalist, it is just different... I'd love to slap some sense in her too, the way she is acting now is unacceptable and I do hope her solo career fails. It may sound harsh but what she did wasn't exactly nice...

I've read that. I'm still in denial... crying You know her solo career won't get off to a good start at least because she's going to be seen as a double-crosser, a betrayer, and so many fans are going to be bitter.
At the same time, i'm glad they're not letting that completely kill them, thet they want to do album, even if it be without her. If they do get a new singer... I'll forever be a loyal fan of the boys, but it won't be the same, and if they do that, i kinda hope they'd change the band name, because Nightwish won't be the same anymore.
I've been listening to their older music now, wishing the money never got to her head.

*has officially died on the inside*
crying
I've been crying about this all day on a Tuomas fan forum. I've run out of energy for it here. Needless to say, it is a sad, sad day.

It is indeed a sad day...Even though we have not heard Tarja's side of the story and have not had any confirmation of that she would really leave, I'm still sad that the band has to go through all this.

They are interesting, almost everyone dislikes Tarja right now...I agree with one of the people who said it hurts to listen to Tarja now. I wouldn't mind if Marco sung a few songs or if he'd be the vocalist for a while, I like his voice...Though I do prefer Tarja...the old Tarja...

...... This is an utter disaster. I mean, it does sound like Tarja needed to go, but she really was the voice of Nightwish. If she they get a new singer, I will still stand by my favorite band though, it will just take some getting used to.

I hope they will find someone whose voice is a bit similar to Tarja's.

I am sorry to say that, and believe me i am not calling anyone a liar but i refuse to believe that....well right now. Sure it is a letter coming from the website and all,and it is signed from the boys of Nightwish..but i still refuse to think that Tarja could actually act like that...and that Nightwish could actually change....i mean...I still refuse to believe it,and i will believe it only and only if,the next album isn't with Tarja or if i heard that she definately left the band and that its confirmed. Dont take me wrong,Nightwish is my morning sun,my song of the day and my lullaby at night, and i wish the best for that band. But i wont believe anything like that until its confirmed and until the next album tells me the truth

I'm going to admit as soon as I read that around 11:30 this morning I cried. Although Tarja didn't help with any of the song writing she still made a huge contribution to the bandand their success. With that said I support the band 100% with their decision. If it's all about the money for her, and about the music for them, then there is no point continuing with her. As for Tarja, it's not my place to judge her based on what I've read in one letter. She was one of the founders of Nightwish and stuck by them for many years, and for that she still deserves respect. I don't agree that it should all change and become about the money though because a loved one has that influence over you. I'm just wondering how they are ever going to find a vocalist with a voice as wonderful as hers. I mean c'mon having a female vocalist in a metal band that has a vocal range of 2.5 octaves is something else!
Oh well, good bye old Nightwish. Hello new Nightwish.
