Odin had been handing out flier for his buddy John's new club for nearly 3 weeks, and the grand opening had finally come. The turnout was pretty good, considering he'd sort of indiscriminately told everyone from heavy rockers to old folks. No teens, though. ******** those kids, always ruining everyone's scene. He stood by the bar now, leaning against it and sipping something glowing green.
"Got any girlfriends comin'?" John asked, bopping over to him and yelling over the thrumming music.
"Nah," Odin answered.
"Boyfriends?"
"I wish!"

Charlie felt odd wandering into the club. It'd been well, never since he'd been into a club that wasn't full of annoying teenyboppers with their crappy music. However, Odin had sent him a flier for this place and generally the man had pretty damn good taste. So, he'd asked Ixxie what the hell one wears to such a thing and dragged the woman along. Getting her to come had mostly involved getting Bailey to watch her kids which was no trouble so now the pair were arrived and looking decently ready for this.
The tall pink haired woman wore a black leather top instead of her usual white tanktop and had all of her piercings in today. Charlie, on the other hand, was dressed a little more conservatively - mostly due to him not having half as much clubbing gear as she did. Leather pants and a tight sleeveless shirt with a high collar decked out his small frame as he entered that night, flanked by his friend.
Ixxie was rather quick to shoo the man off on his own and disappear into the crowd, leaving him to fend for himself for the time being. So, the silver haired male did what he figured would probably be best at this point - went over to the bar. There, he spotted Odin - well at least there was one person here he recognized.
"Hey." His greeting was spoken a bit louder than usual due to the music, but still not above his regular tone.

Odin bent down.
"Dude, you're gonna hafta speak up until they fix the volume! What's up?!" Goddamn, his ears were gonna be ringing.

"Nothing's up. How about with you?" the shorter man replied, raising his volume as instructed. Charlie's pointed ears twitched a bit at all the sound, damn this was gonna be a bit painful.

As if one cue, someone lowered the volume. It had been something about a dimmer switch being miswired...something like that.John had tried to explain, but Odin was too busy ogling the bar.
"Jesus. Alright. Nothing much, just the usual. Wake up, work, go to bed." He sipped his drink, ears indeed ringing. It would undoubtedly subside in a minute or five.

Charlie shook his head a bit to get his ears to behave and finally looked to ordering a drink. Afterwards, he turned back to Odin with a smile. "Are clubs usually like this or did I just come on an off night?"

"It's the grand opening, man," Odin laughed, "This is a pretty good crowd, all things considered. As for the types'a people here, yeah. S'why we have a bouncer. No little emo kids."

"I'm glad for that. Emo kids are really no threat since they're more likely to hurt themselves than anyone around but that doesn't stop them from being annoying." Charlie replied, stretching a bit. "Gotta say, this place is pretty nice."

"Glad ya think so. My buddy owns it," Odin said with a smile and a nod. He finished off the glowing drink (it could be seen illuminating his throat until it passed into his chest cavity) and nodded toward the dance floor.
"Do ya do much dancing?"

"Not really." Charlie intoned, watching the glowing drink's progress with a small amount of interest. It was rather amusing to see, really.
"That's cause you never bother trying." Ixxie's voice said cheerfully as she walked over to get a drink as well.

"Then come on," Odin laughed, nodding toward the dance floor once more, "I'm not too good at it myself, but a little fun never hurt anyone. Besides, I didn't go to the gym today. I need to make it up to myself."

Charlie laughed and shrugged. "All right." he said, standing and stretching a bit. "It can't hurt me to at least take a shot at it."

Odin started off, occasionally turning back to make sure Charlie was still following. He had once known how to dance in a culture where blood, sex, and entertainment all coincided. Needless to say, it didn't help much here. He had adapted as most people did, moving to music and engaging in vaguely erotic behavior where ever allowed. It was a nice release. When he reached the floor, he began to move carefully at first, not wanting to do anything ridiculous.

Charlie followed, shyly at first but caught what he was supposed to be doing after a while. His moves were careful at first but after a while he got into the motions enough to let go a bit more. Ridiculous was a far cry from what he was doing but still he was a bit looser than before.

A girl with a neon green and black dreads-wig moved behind Odin and, with a laugh, started to grind. Odin just laughed back and joined her. He really didn't give a damn if he looked like an idiot, any more!
