((Please excuse the geography but I know Agua Azul is to the west of RoT and Akiiki Chibale to the south so I am guessing Tomkin is somewhere to the North/Northwest. Correct me if I'm wrong.))

Moghedien made her way through the pack lands, the ground now familiar to her and she moved with a confident grace. Though soon her paws fell on unfamiliar territory and she slowed her pace to something more cautious keeping, as she often did, to the shadows.
Her mind worked, there was little point trying to search for a scent, those, including the alpha, whom had initially set off in search of the female had lost it, now being a couple of days old she had little hopes of finding it. Thus she would concentrate on other clues as to where she may of gone into hiding. Raising her head she kept her nose high as to catch scents on the air, not in search but she did not like to be surprised and she kept a good watch.
Gliding through the shadows she made her way further from the security of the pack lands though she was confident in her skills to keep her out of trouble and with the gentle reassurance Damon would never be out of reach if the need arose.
Heading northwards she began to slowly encroach upon the pack lands of those that she had heard rumoured as Tomkin. A small pack but it's nature told of the caution that she needed to take. Slowing her pace further to sultry sway she walked through the shadows, her icy eyes searching.

((Tomkin is actually to the east of Rot, slightly to the northeast. I should perhaps make a map sometime soon))
The female was not alone as she traveled through the lands owned by that of another pack. Equally icy specks peered down below, searching through the darkness with a certain sense of anxiousness, while the form of the creature delve into the shadows between the crevices of the boulders that riddled the land of Tomkin, like ragged ribs sticking up from the ground. Being downwind was ideal, and there he stayed, making note to keep a good distance behind the invader. This female was cautious. The male could tell by the way she observed her surroundings at a constant that the female was of intelligence, and hadn't wandered into his pack absentmindedly. No, she traveled here fully aware of the situation. How intriguing.
Ebony paws fell lightly, hardly touching the ground as he propelled forward. His body swayed with his animation, keeping things swift, streamlined, and efficient. Stalking the weary female was proving to be no fools task. And while he pursued her, he contemplated how to finally approach if she were to notice him, or even if he grew bored of the game he invented of cat and mouse, and how to address her about why it was she had trod into dangerous territory. He paused briefly, unsure if she had heard his soft steps across a patch of rocks which would surely catch the scrap of his claws if he wasn't careful. The breath hitched in his throat. Perhaps ending this now would do them both good...and Aguta was growing uncomfortable the further she slipped into his territory.
Finally producing himself from behind a collection of exposed granite, the male trod forward, his head hung balanced between his shoulders while his tail flicked out behind him. Aguta wouldn't yet display an overbearing dominance. "How far do you think you'll continue forward?" he asked suddenly, his voice low, calm.

Her eyes pricked as she heard the sound of claws scratching on the rock littered landscape, close behind her. Before alarm could set in, the wolf whom she hoped the claws belonged too emerged from an outcropping of rock in front of her. She held her self with confidence grace and stature though there was nothing cocky about it, her icy blue eyes finding the dazzling blue of the large wolf whom had addressed her.
She held his gaze for a moment and then openly let her eyes roam over his body, accessing him. Her eyes came back to greet his and then finally she choose to answer him, in her own time. Her voice like mist on a cold morning, rolling across the the ground, 'I think this will be far enough for now...'
The male in front of her held himself with a similar confidence grace that she possessed, though his was born from something different than her own, though just as deadly and due just as much respect. She hoped this was the alpha, as it would save her much time. She held his eye and slowly she took two steps towards him, her body swaying in what she hoped would be a satisfying manner. 'I would hazard a guess that you are a wolf of intelligence and you know of the packs which boarders these pack lands, I would also go so far as to say you could guess as too which I belong and so I will tell you this; my alpha is angered as he has lost something that he wishes returned to him.'
She stood, looking up at him, the size difference meaning nothing to her, she was a petite wolf and she had grown use to being dwarfed a long time ago. Her eyes searched his, looking for any emotion which may tell her something.

Those same eyes flowed over her silver form, reminding him of a human's veil during a dusty, star speckled night. Though she was considerably smaller than his comparatively bulky form, his attention lingered more so with her words, seeking them out to see what sort of power she might hold. Size and sexual dimorphism was something he hardly considered when attempting to read the enemies information, after all, underestimating another pack with power was a mistake Aguta would ensure he wouldn't be making. Her words flowed like smoke over stone in the early hours; a smooth haunting lullaby that he was sure this spider of a female could use to ensnare any weaker wolf. It was mesmerizing in way.
His suspicions were confirmed as she described her situation without speaking names direction. This was the first visit Tomkin would receive from Reign of Terror, and he doubted it would be the last, but he was curious to know if this female's only goal was to discover if they treasured the runaway in their deep halls, or if she was also here for something more. Aguta had heard rumor that they demanded tribute from the packs bordering them. If this was true, would he be asked now to give something over?
"Lost something?" he murmured, his poker face never once revealing the location of Selene. Only his eyes reflected that teal form deep within their myriad of speckles, and if this stranger was keen enough to sense it, all would be revealed. "I have caught scent of a female that crossed into my borders some time ago but to my knowledge has long left. If this is who you speak of then I am unable to assist you in your search." His expression hardly changed -not that his usually vacant stare was any different- and only seemed to shift as he looked the stranger over.

Moghedien held the gaze, her eyes searching, his mannerisms gave very little away, this was a wolf with a cool demur and portrayed little, if any outward emotion. She also noted he selected his words carefully and limited his conversation to solely what was needed. But something caught her attention, a brief flicker deep within those crystal blue eyes of his, she doubted herself whether she had seen it or not but in an instant she had placed the information away and probed the male further, holding his stare.
'I did not say what it was he lost and lone wolves often travel through pack lands when needs must, so the fact you decided to tell me of this female intrigues me.' Her eyes searched his for a reaction before adding, 'My alpha has indeed lost a female. If she has left your pack lands, as you say, then perhaps you can only be so kind as to guide me across the path she took and in what direction she left, that is of course if she did leave.' She watched him carefully, wondering if she'd catch another flicker within those eyes.
She was standing within another's pack lands and she knew this wolf could easily turn her request aside but then he was also aware to which pack she herself belonged too and only the brave or foolish would oppose such a force. She waited.

She picked up on the comment. This was interesting. He nearly smirked at the statement and thought how he would proceed with her willful observation. His stance hardly shifted, though lifting his front paw, he placed it back down again a few inches back, balancing his stance into a more comfortable position while he stared directly at the misty female. "I figured the only precious thing to be lost that could enter my territory from your own would be someone from your pack, though their status and why they would run is a mystery to me," he murmured. Whether or not this was taken as a jive toward her pack's practices was up to her interpretation. You didn't need to live within the Reign of Terror to know what happened within those borders.
"If they indeed ran. But the conditions of their retreat isn't of any concern of mine," he continued before lifting his head ever so slightly. Her request was simple enough. He remembered well the path he took to bring Selene back into his shelter. Taken carefully along the river and back out, backtracking was the best ideal he had at the time. Maybe moving along this direction would be enough to convince the female she had no business here. "Of course."
He moved passed her suddenly, shifting lightly as he took a few steps. Though his eyes were no longer locked he was fully aware of her movements. Aguta finally paused, looked back over his shoulder, making contact once more, and tipped his head forward. "If you'd follow me," he spoke, his eyes once more ablaze.

She stood her ground as the large male passed her. She had stood silently taking in his words as he responded to her questioning and although he had managed to clear himself of suspicion something still did not seem to run true, though for now she would let it lie and see what route he would led her down.
As he turned to cast his gaze over his shoulder and catch her own she blinked slowly, in a manner that indicated that she acknowledged him and replied, her voice slipping like silk from her maw, ‘Lead on.’ As show that she would not dally she already raised her snowy white forepaw and placed it a pace a head of her and began to sway in a sultry manner, closing the distance between them, not wanting to close the gap but to simply display she was ready to be guided.
Her spider web netted cape shifted with the natural motion of her body , the tiny crystal like beads catching the light every so often and casting small fragments of rainbow coloured light onto her lustrous silver coat. The silver bangles about her forepaws clicking metallically as she moved, the sound becoming soothing upon the ear.
Mog didn’t make idle conversation, everything she said had a reason behind it, however trivial it seemed to be to the listeners and her talents didn’t lie in her physical strength, it rested in her mind and this was how she did battle. She probed the male leading her, voice like ice, 'Do you know much about your neighbouring packs?' She was not under orders from the alpha to come here to gain this packs tribute to the Reign of Terror but what harm would there be with attempting to kill two birds with one stone.

The spark in his contrasting eyes only seemed to grow as she moved up beside him, roaring in his eyes like violent flakes of dying embers, watching as she so smoothly joined him, not standing behind nor before him. The dignity she held herself with was an enticing attribution, and her equally impressive words were the first challenge he had in a while. With this female he had to be careful. While any company from Reign of Terror would be something of a problem, there was no doubt those with more talent for observation, their expertise lying with the art of trickery and word weaving. This particular silvery female didn't only remind him of a spider physically, but the way she responded was meticulous as she spun her web.
But this was more or less a first impression. Aguta's mind was still open and with every step he took he observed her further, watching, and calculating. Ashen paws trudged forward, griping the earth as they traveled through Tomkin. His body swayed with the terrain, often avoiding large monolithic boulders jutting from the ground, but moved atop the few smaller as they followed the path in which he knew would lead him to the meeting point where he had first run into the ex-slave of Reign of Terror.
When she asked him her next question he didn't take any time to answer. The answer he gave her was the truth, after all, "I do. I make it my business to gather as much information about them as I would possibly need." He wasn't sure what her motive was with asking this question, but he had many possible outcomes. Either way, he figured it didn't sound too inconspicuous, after all, with his line of work he made it a high priority to understand the structure and the main members of each pack at his borders and even some beyond. Agua Azul to the north, Reign of Terror to the west and Akiiki Chibale beyond that along with the various others at his mother boundaries. They were all points of interest.

She walked beside the male with ease, matching the pace he set and never faltering or trying to increase it. He walked with a proficiency which was satisfying, navigating around the larger boulders which littered the ground and over those of a smaller size. She kept her eyes forward but every so often she’d cast a quick sideways glance to catch glimpses of him in motion, calculating, analysing; for physical strengths and weaknesses, physical attributes could also be used and played upon as well as mental ones.
She carried on with her line of attack, ’then you will know it is customary to offer a tribute of some form to the Reign and as I am appointed the rank of Lady, it is my task to collect it.’ She did not flinch or even take her eyes from the landscape in front of her but paused for a moment to allow the male to consider her words and hoped he’d give it some consideration before answering her.
Her mind began to focus upon various issues; her constant struggle with the other females to win the alpha’s favour, she just hoped Liriel hadn’t come across the slave wolf. How she desired so much to find the slave, though she doubted it possible now, instead her hopes turned to gaining a worthwhile tribute from Tomkin to please the alpha.

As she glanced toward him he would occasionally return the gaze, shifting just slightly to look the female over, sizing her up in the same way she was analyzing him. Her frame was considerably smaller than his, sleek as well, but he was sure this made it easier for her to move, and being swift was just as lethal as strength. Her mind and prompt remarks were a strong suit, but what else did this Ace of Spades have hidden behind her poker face? Her inquiries were interesting enough.
Crawling on top of the rocky structure before them, he glided solidly, before looking back as the female continued with her thoughts, her point having now come forward. "Was your reason for coming to Tomkin to retrieve your tribute or was it for the female you've lost?" he asked, "I suppose you thought you'd kill two birds with one stone, correct?" His steps had paused, his gaze focused with a serious silver flicking across his bright eyes while his maw was stretched into a small smirk. "I prefer not to consider anything Tomkin might gift Reign of Terror as tribute as I refuse to pay respects to a force I disagree with."
His eyes traveled to the female's before glancing off into the distance, not lingering on a single particular thing. "However, I'm willing to strike a deal with you; something that might benefit both Tomkin and Reign of Terror. You see, I won't do anything that will not leave my pack or I benefited when it is seen through."

She continued walking at the same pace he had originally set even when he announced he knew of her intentions. She portrayed no outward sign of her displeasure at his discovery apart from the slight icing of her eyes, which didn’t seem possible at first. Then he paused in the forward progression they had been making and gave his response to her pack’s request, for that was what it was, not a personal one.
Firstly she thought him a fool, his pack’s numbers were far less that the Reign’s and it seemed a bad idea to anger such a pack, whatever his principles. Though part of her was intrigued by the males bold proclamation and she admired him for it in a strange way. Though remaining quite she fixed him with her icy blue eyes and after a slight paused he added that he’d consider striking a deal with herself, which could be beneficial to both packs. At this she found it hard not to react, her eyes wanting to widen in surprise, though years of practiced control her facial expressions remained unchanged.
It was now her turn to respond, the first part of her response crisp, ‘Yes, my reason for coming here was to retrieve the female that my pack had lost, but you are also right in thinking that I desired to claim your tribute as well. But I have never known intuition to be a bad quality to process.’ Her point made she expressed her desire to know what he was he proposed, ’As for the denial for offering a tribute I cannot promise you that my alpha and the others in the pack, will take kindly to the gesture. However if this deal of what you speak of interests me enough that I accept it, then it may work out for all sides.’
She walked forward, slowly in an alluring manner, closing the distance between them and demanding his attentions, which now seemed else where, she desired his eyes back on hers, to watch for those silver flecks she had noted earlier. ’So tell me, what is it you desire?’

He watched her, wondering just what she thought of his blunt defiance to the laws set by a pack not his own. Certainly it would have been found downright stupid by anyone from Reign of Terror, even from packs with more experience with the fierce pack, but for Aguta, he felt confident in his decision, even if it would prove to be a foolish mistake in the future. He would see to it that the pack was taken care of if refusing a tribute would result in an undesirable outcome. His pointed ears stayed forward through the duration of her answer and with each word he grew further curious. How was it that this pack functioned? It seemed they were at least tolerable with the gifts they received, allowing their victims to choose the gift they would then ship away to RoT.
Her tantalizing posture approaching him even furthered his interest. Well, she certainly was brave, coming so close. Her slick movement was easily read, defiant, intrigued, sly. And so he answered. "I desire many things. Knowledge, understanding, prosperity...an heir," he paused, looking at the female seriously, "But what I most desire now is the word that Reign of Terror will not take a violent motion toward Tomkin. Whether that be through invasion, attack, whatever. I will form a contract with you if I must in order to assure the protection of my pack."
Aguta shifted his weight slightly, moving his paws but only slightly. His tail was held limply, ready to stand erect though for the moment it seemed dominance wasn't something he needed to stress. And he wanted to show courtesy to his guest. As much as he could while he was deceiving her, anyway. "Now what might I offer Reign of Terror in order to assure the preservation of Tomkin?"

Moghedien stood her ground, the space between her and the large male minimal, all the while she held his stare, icy blue orbs unflinching. She listened to the males apparent deal, all he stated was that he wanted word the Reign would bring no trouble to his door. This amused her, though she portrayed this in no way he would be able to detect and slowly she formed her response, ’Packs generally offer, what is referred to as a tribute, to assure that their pack is free from attack, thus what you are saying is that you are willing to offer something in order to preserve your pack…a tribute.’
She paused for a moment and allowed him to consider her words and the trap he had just seemed to have made himself, but before he could answer she added, ’Though of course, this agreement would be null and void if you or any member of your pack do anything that could perhaps be contrary to the Reign or instigate an attack by whatever means.’ subtly she was hinting at the possibility that his pack had aided or was indeed harbouring the run away, she herself was not totally convinced he knew nothing of her. Also though, she meant it as a general word of caution.
She stared deep into his eyes, searching for those silver flecks she had glanced, hoping they’d signify something, anything, finally she finished her turn, of this mental battle, by adding ‘As for an offering,’ She choose to use his word, rather that her alpha’s term of a tribute, ‘other packs have a tendency to offer a pup or a weaker member of their pack, such as an omega or often hunting rights to part of their territory. But I believe there is something else you have in mind.’
She finished her turn.

She made a point but stated flatly what made the deal he wished to strike different from what she considered a tribute. He was well aware that if he offered something to Reign of Terror that they could still turn their fangs upon Tomkin if some sort of offense was taken (which though Moghedien had her suspicions, was not proven to have occurred yet) and that was exactly what Aguta wanted to prevent. He knew the moment he allowed the omega to enter his lands that he had crossed the harsh pack, and now he needed to find a way to rectify his earlier actions. Aguta needed to make a deal stronger than a tribute, he needed something solid, something that would eventually save Tomkin.
"That is exactly why I would like to strike a deal with you, something that will solidify the pact Tomkin will make between Reign of Terror, something stronger than a Tribute. I can assure you that at some point Tomkin will offend your pack, and if not, I'd rather have the assurance that Tomkin is well taken care of regardless. I want to offer you something that will ensure Reign of Terror never attacks, no matter the circumstance," he told her flatly, his eyes focused and stern. Their crystal specks shimmered now and again, catching what little light could be found. Their glow was oh so similar to the spark that spread earlier, perhaps portraying the same knowledge he so adamantly refused to give her.
As her eyes bore into his he returned the favor, observe her closely, wondering what if anything she was hiding. Her suspicion was obvious, Moghedien didn't need to hid that, but it was subtle and persistent. Perhaps he had already given her the clues she needed. Now all she needed was the evidence. When comparing the offerings she suggested she was right, there was something else he had in mind, something Tomkin was formed for, existed for.
"Assassination," he murmured, the word hardly a whisper, he glanced away for but a moment before returning his gaze back into hers. A smirk resided on his lean muzzle. "I can perform many tasks as needed; I wonder, have you done your research? Do you know what my profession is? I can offer you this much if it will ensure the safety of my pack."

Moghedien listened intently to his response, picking key words and sentences, many which may seem trivial but ones she presumed and assumed were important. She stored them at the back of her mind, all pieces of a puzzle of which she needed to collect and piece together to form a clear picture.
The fact that he 'assured' her that his pack would at some point in time offend hers and more to the point why openly admit to such a thing infront of someone of her stature and nature. She stored that key piece of information along with the similar sort of look appearing in his eyes as earlier.
Staring at him for a moment, the pause long and her icy blue eyes never losing any of their coolness , then breaking the gaze she walked by him, brushing fleetingly against his shoulder and then the contact ended and she walked by him, down the path that he had once been guiding her, her words carrying back over her shoulder to his ears, 'You were guiding me, do so again please, I must know where, if she did leave your territory, she exited so I can continue the hunt.'
The guidance was not requested, it was demanded. She conditioned to walk slowly down the rocky causeway, listening to the soft paw placement she didn't doubt would follow her. As a form of encouragement for him to continue with the guidance through his territory she answered him, her words drifted back to him like liquid ice. 'Do you really believe a pack such as the Reign would require such a service? Do you not think such a pack would already have members capable of such acts. Would you not think the Alpha would consider it a mockery of his packs strength? Your numbers in all out war, no doubt, would be welcomed I must admit though, but I do not know if that is enough to ensure your packs total saftey. The alpha's temper is like quicksilver, you just never know.'
Her last words lingered tantalising in her wake.
