*Rules*
I'll fill this in later. However, for now, the rules are:
1) Follow Gaia's TOS
2) Follow Guild Rules
3) Keep it clean - Mild swearing allowed.
4) Try to use the Ornate post style for RPing and all OOC stuff in double parenthese (( )) and in the Say post style. Because Nova is OCD and wants to be able to keep OOC posts seperate from the RP.
5) NO L337 5P34K! Or else - BOOT TO THE HEAD! And corn chips where your eyes should be. And salsa stuffed up your nose.
6) No quoting posts. Please?
7) NO CHT SPK! Or else you will meet Kaminosensou. And he is a very angry little sword.
8.) All decisions by the ModGods (Ampersand and me) must be made by coin flipping - best two out of three -, or dice rolling.

Martina whistled to herself as she shelved books in the Paranormal store she worked at. So far, it had been an unusually slow day. She sighed and turned on the TV to the news, as usual for the store. Another report on the "Kira Murders." She sighed again and leaned against the checkout counter. With all the Kira stuff going on, she'd have expected that a paranormal store would be the first place people would hit up to find information on this stuff, considering Kira didn't seem to be using conventional methods to kill.

It was late-afternoon, and getting dark.
The girl sighed.
"Class is almost over. Just five more minutes..."
She thought.
The bell rang.
"Finally. College totally blows, sometimes..."
The girl said to herself, brushing her short, silver-ish hair out of her blue eyes.
She was on her way to her favorite bookstore where her friend Martina works.
"This is taking forever... I'll take a shortcut."
She said to herself, turning down an alley.
About halfway into the alley, a well-dressed man came running at her, full speed.
"TAKE IT! TAKE IT AWAY!"
He screamed, waving a black notebook at her.
"GET IT AWAY FROM ME!"
Pinning her against a wall as she tried to run away, he forced the notebook into her arms.
"I DON'T WANT IT, GET IT AWAY!"
He screamed at her while she struggled.
"I'LL TAKE IT! PLEASE, LEAVE ME ALONE!"
She said, crying.
The man nodded and ran away quickly.
"What... What was that...?"
The girl gasped, attempting to regain her breath.
Staring down at the notebook, she tilted her head to the side.
"What's so... Strange about this? ... 'Death Note'?"
Not even bothering to open it, she ran the rest of the way to the paranormal bookstore to see Martina.
"Martina? Hello? It's Skuld!"

Martina looked up, hearing the bell over the door ring. "Oh, hey, Skuld." she said, grinning when she saw her friend. "What brings you up to this neck of the woods?"

"Well, I was on my way here... When this weird guy who looked like a businessman ran up to me, screaming and yelling... And threw me against a wall, forcing this book on me... It says 'Death Note.' Is it from here?"

"...Death...Note?" Martina asked, raising her eyebrow in disbelief. "I honestly have no idea what a DeathNote is. We don't sell them here, or I'd have seen them."

She suggest, pulling the note out of her bag.
