Quote: Sender: cainflin@winsletlawfirm. com Subject: Haunted Victorian Message:Atlantic Paranormal Society:
I wish to report that my house is haunted. I have lived in this house for many years, and the paranormal activities seemed to grow more with each year. Things fly at me, I have been pushed down stairs, locked inside rooms, and once the gas from my stove came on when I was asleep, almost suffocating me. I saw your ad in the Massachusetts Newsletter. I believe you are the only people who could help me. I implore on you to come and do an investigation in my house. I fear for my life. If you do this, I promise a great deal of money donated into your organization. Please come and get rid of these ghosts. Your help would be greatly be appreciated.

*Psychics are not always used. **We shall start out with only one ghost, and once we have a steady pace going, we can add more.Accepted Profiles: My Creator: Nacht Chevalier The Haunted: Addie Quentin Age: 27 Gender: Female Position: Investigator My Hauntings: Addie was first brought into the paranormal world when she was young. Her family was living in an apartment building that had once been burned down. Three people had died, one being a child no older than herself at the time. At first, her family thought it was just an imaginary friend, but when Addie was away at preschool her mother swore she heard a little child humming somewhere. They cleared out of there, but young Addie never forgot about that time in her life. Her want for knowledge of the paranormal began to grow as she grew up. At first, it was just reading little ghost stories, but by the time she was in high school, Addie was reading about paranormal investigations and the most haunted places on the earth. The young woman found out that there was a group of people, and even universities, that allowed people to scientifically research the paranormal. Addie was quick to join that wagon. Even though she majored in business, Addie did take classes in the Paranormal department at the college she went to. Once out of college, Addie was the first to join the Atlantic Paranormal Research-Investigation Society. The Ghost Can: Addie loves to work during Dead times. Her favorite movie is 'Ghost.'
My Creator: Gaara-The Desert Prince The Haunted: Nathanial Snow Age: 22 Gender: Male Position: Tech, and Equipment specialist. My Hauntings: Nathanial had always been the odd ball in school, the kid who always read about Aliens, and Ghost, and silly things like that. He was often thought to have been mentally unstable because he believed in such ‘nonsense’ as most professionals, and teachers would say. He was the nerd of his classes also, always making stop grades. Being socially awkward, and sheltered Nathan never really made many friends, most of his friends where the ‘Ghosts’ he studied. Nathanial was more than thrilled to find a College that offered philosophy, and paranormal studies, and eventually graduated top of his class. After he graduated, Nathanial joined a paranormal investigators team the “Atlantic Paranormal Research-Investigation Society”, and is the expert on the equipment used, and is one of the only people who can properly read the equipment. The Ghost Can: Being socially awkward Nathan has a slight stutter that gets worse when he is nervous, or under too much pressure. He also has asthma. My Creator: Grim_Ace The Haunted: Reilly (Rey ul ee) O’Ryan Age: 26 Gender: Female Position: Investigator My Hauntings: Reilly is a brash, bluntly honest, brash woman. She never really got along with people, least of all her family. They were a very tradition Irish family, which never sat well with Reilly. When she began to get interested in the occult her mother nearly died of a stroke. ‘That sort of things is the devils doing!’ she would say. Of course Reilly was even more interested in it after that long talk. Her younger sister of course was the golden child, always doing what ‘God wanted’. That was enough to make her sick for a week. So of course when she took a college course dedicated to paranormal investigation her parents hit the roof, which in turn, made her graduate with honors. Anything that made dear old Mummy and Daddy unhappy made Reilly a very happy girl. Which is to say when she joined the Atlantic Paranormal Research-Investigation Society her mother fainted and her father hit the roof. The Ghost Can: Reilly is extremely gifted in research, and can find information on just about anything. She also drinks quite a lot of booze, and won’t hesitate to tell someone they’re an idiot. My Creator: kimikurai The Haunted: Rhodri Chreighton Gender: Male Position: Tech My Hauntings: Arrogant, inconsiderate, and all-together rude, Rhodri isn’t exactly what you might call a ‘people person.’ But what he lacks in congeniality, he makes up for with technical skill. Rhodri was born in Surrey, U.K. with birth palsy, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. His mother was a respectable professor of Psychology at the University of Surrey; his father, a deadbeat but loving dad, working in a local Pub. He spent most of his early childhood in Guildford with his sister Nia and their parents. However, after a supposedly ‘successful’ exorcism left his little sister in a completely vegetative state, and his parents began to argue feverishly and frequently on what action to take for their daughter, Rhodri’s mother finally had enough and not only divorced her husband, but opted to move as far from him (and their hospitalized daughter) as possible – Massachusetts. Promptly after an early graduation from high school, Rhodri left the house. He attended college and graduated with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Paranormal Investigative Studies. Completely disinterested by every other opportunity that had crossed his path, Rhodri was oddly drawn to join the “Atlantic Paranormal Research-Investigation Society.” Because of his experience with the technology and computers (and his lack of mobility), Rhodri is in charge of the monitoring equipment and usually keeps in contact with the rest of the group via intercom headset, watching for potential threats from afar. Although argumentative and irritable, Rhodri is a necessary evil in the group because of his skill with a computer, ability to work under pressure, and quick-thinking. The Ghost Can: Rhodri isn’t sure if he believes in ghosts in spite of watching his sister’s exorcism and having some sight. He is a heavy smoker and can go through a couple packs easy when he’s over-stressed.

Setting: This story takes place in Massachusetts in an old Victorian house owned by a lawyer named, Cain Flin. The Investigators enter the house and find several pieces of paper on the front table in the foyer. The papers tell that Mr. Flin has been called away on business, but the crew can stay in the two guest bedrooms up stairs if they wished.
Under this note is a few papers on the history of the household and land around it from the present back to the late 1800s. Three murders have happened on the property, and all have been solved except for one. No information could be found about it since it was a cover up by the looks of it....
Is this their ghost? Will they have to chase down a murderer?

|The Paranormal Is Out There|~{Addie Quentin}~ "Who're you goin' call?" The drive up to the Flin estate was a long one filled with twisting roads up through the forests. Addie's fingers drummed against the steering wheel in anticipation. This was going to be a big case for the APRIS team. I just hope nothing really serious happens. From Mr. Flin's report, it seemed this ghost was more of a poltergeist. Oh, I can't wait for this! A small smile teased her lips. Her hand turned slightly making the black SUV turn to the left.
They had finally reached the last mile or so of flat road that led them straight to the house, or so it said on the handy-dandy GPS. Addie looked at the scenery around the road, letting the warm colors feel welcome. It was November, and the trees were at their peak in firey reds and sunny yellows. The tall trees seemed to branch over the road making arches, the leaves slowly drifting to the road beneath them. This place must have been worth a pretty penny. Just by the scenery I wouldn't mind living here.
Glancing in her rear-view mirror, she saw Nathaniel and gave him a small smile. The guy was such a nerd, but she respected him for it. The same with Rhodi, not a true believer though. They had helped with many cases through the years. Addie's eyes then caught a glance at Reilly in the passenger 'shot gun' seat. A good researcher and investigator.
They were a rag-tag group of Paranormal Investigators. But they all managed to some how get along. Not that it was all hunky-dory.
Addie paid attention to the road once more before looking at the clock. A few members would join later, after this group had arrived. It was only a minute later that Addie pulled them in front of a white Victorian, straight out of a magazine. "Welcome to the Flin estate."|Are You Ready To Find It?|

 ~ Nathanial Snow ~ "Y-y-yes ma'am!" - Nathanial Snow
Nathan sat upright and looking out the window of the van for quite sometime. He had been told about the details of this investigation, and the thought of a violent poltergeist made him nervous, but excited. It was his big chance to test out some of the newer equipment that was never needed for their other missions.
He fiddled his fingers softly, as they turned down the winding road. It looked dank, and intimidating. He sighed lightly, before smiling softly to Addie when he caught her glance. She was such a nice girl, feisty, and she seriously made him nervous when she got too excited, but that was normal. Reilly did the same thing to him, she was so hot tempered. Rhodri got on his nervous, along with making them explode. He was too demanding, and Nathan was better experienced with the equipment than him so the constant bantering was irritating.
He wouldn’t change the team even if he wanted to though, and he would admit it to himself and anyone else. This was his second family, the family he could relate to, and who wasn’t worried about his mental health….
“W-well, looks l-like we are here!” he said softly.

As Rhodri looked up, he saw the thick wooded landscape of Massachusetts rolling past them, green and rich. It was beautiful. Or at least, it would have been to most. Rhodri, instead of staring in awe at the majestic beauty of it all, scowled and without a second thought, he continued to read the old National Geographic he’d been flipping through the majority of the trip. Even the book, an old nineteen-eighties edition of the magazine, was beginning to disinterest him. As he finished the last few sentences of an article about the Chernobyl disaster, he shut the book and tossed it on the floor. “Blaming the operators… Tch… Outdated garbage…” he muttered to himself, drumming his fingers on the metal arm of his wheelchair.
Rhodri looked to the boy next to him, the pale, stuttering boy whom with he worked closest to. Nathan, an experienced tech with ample knowledge about the tools of the trade. He served mostly as a form of amusement to Rhodri, who often argued for the sake of arguing with the nervous equipment specialist for kicks. He looked then to the front, to the passenger’s seat. Reilly… Hot-tempered, feisty, alcoholic. Reilly and Rhodri got along like a couple of betta fish in a one-inch by two aquarium. He couldn’t help but shoot her a look before turning to the driver’s seat –Addie. The only person in the vehicle Rhodri had given up on arguing with. She was stable and calm, for the most part – at least long enough to diverted pointless confrontation.
Morons, the lot of them. Yet in spite of his tunnel-vision description of his teammates, even Rhodri, master of denial, couldn’t deny that there was something there, something strong between all of them. Something that went beyond ‘oh, we work together’.
As the van pulled up and slowed down in front of the large white house, Rhodri pulled himself up in the wheelchair. Arrival was the worst part for him. He’d have to wait until everyone else climbed out, and then for someone to pull out the floor ramp before he could get out. It wasn’t that he minded being a nuisance to the rest of his team – more that it was a reminder that he had to rely on them.
The boy groaned impatiently. “Are we done admiring the damn thing?”

|The Paranormal Is Out There|~{Addie Quentin}~ "Who're you goin' call?" Addie turned off the engine and hopped out of the van. Pulling the large door open on Rhodri's side. She then reached behind him and pulled out the ramp so he could move out. Without waiting, she then went to the trunk and opened it up. It looked like a Radio Shack and a few other tech stores exploded in here. Compared to the Ghostbusters, we are them on steroids. Though, they didn't have that large building. They had a small office one that suited fine for business.
Gripping on to two steel cases, she heaved the out and began to make her way toward the house. "Hey, someone make sure that the tape recorders are good and that we have enough memory space in the cameras!" She called out over her shoulder.
When she reached the entrance of the house, a small shiver ran down her back. Cold spot, perhaps? She shrugged and knocked on the door. After a few minutes, no one answered. When she tried again, the door creaked open slightly. Addie used her foot to push it in to give her room. "Hello?"|Are You Ready To Find It?|

Nathan smiled to Rhodri nervously, moving out of his way and helping him down the ramp, the last time he was left to steer himself down the ramp it ended up with a very red faced, and de-chaired Rhodri. As he finally left the truck he sighed peacefully as a warm gust of wind blew across his face. It was nice to finally stretch his legs; the trip had been a long one. He looked to Addie as she walked to the door of their new mission, just catching what she had asked of one of them.
“I’ll ma-make sure they work!” he called to her, always wishing to be more helpful. He shuffled to the back of the truck, pulling out various bags, and grabbing many electronics that wouldn’t make sense to any normal person. When he finally found the recorders he click them all one by one, “Testing…Testing…” once he finished recording he played them all back.
“T-they seem to be w-w-working just fine” he called out bagging them along with a container of batteries, and a few flash lights. Being prepared was important, you never wanted to be left alone in a room without proper equipment; it could end disastrously.

Rhodri muttered a short, reluctant “Thanks” as Nathan guided his chair to the bottom of the ramp. Immediately the youngest of the group pulled out a pack of smokes, ripping a cigarette from the case hastily and resting it between his lips before scrounging around his pocket for a light. After a quick flick of the chrome Zippo and a long drag of the cheaper Next’s he’d been forced to replace with his regular brand, Rhodri looked over at Nathan. “You got everything?” he asked with a nod at the bag in the pale boy’s hands.

|The Paranormal Is Out There|~{Addie Quentin}~ "Who're you goin' call?" Addie looked back, "Thanks, Nathan! Let's drop this stuff inside and then we can start going to work!" Facing the front door once more she stpped inside.
The entrance was quite- boring. Off-white walls and dark wood flooring made it seem a little empty, lifeless. The photos on the wall showed Mr. Flin, a man with dark hair and even darker eyes that seemed to always wear a business suit, and a couple degrees. Otherwise, the room was undecorated. Talk about your need of a interior designer.
To her right, there was a table and on it held a key and a letter. Addie's eyes scanned over it. It seemed that Mr. Flin had to leave town for an important business meeting and would not be back until further notice. They were welcome to any of the bedrooms within the house. Addie sighed and put the letter back down. "At least we won't have interference."|Are You Ready To Find It?|
