i dont belong to this guild, but i am going to start back up on playing ffxi, and i think the reason i didnt like playing it before was becuase of the server i was on just wasnt...for me :/ It was the sylph server (no offense) I was just wondering who here thought the nicest servers were or if the one you're on is real friendly or not so that maybe i can switch over? whee

well im on bismarck its an alright server, i havent met many butt heads, i also have a char on odin, its a pretty nice server too.

i played once on odin and it seemed really nice! I wish i could get back on odin but all my characters are on sylph and it wont let me make any characters EXCEPT on sylph *sigh* I hate asking strangers for world passes becuase i know how expensive they are sweatdrop can i join this guild btw?

edit: they arent exactly "butt heads" just a lot of... n00bish type people or just plain annoying xd

I'm on the Leviathan server (switched over from Siren) and I love it! I've only been to those two servers so I can't tell you much compaired to others, but as fars as siren and leviathan go, I think leviathan is much nicer.

Midgardsormr is awesome i'd be willing to get a world pass if ya want to play on it and recomment ya to 2 ls's if you'd like ^^

really? I met someone in the FF forums who said they coudlnt believe i dindt like sylph or the people on sylph. I have started playing for the last 2 days and......yep the people on sylph suck. Well....like i went all over windy asking for help because i just started out and couldnt remember certain things and they've changed stuff.
VERY HARD TO FIND SOMEONE TO HELP. Most either ignored me....or were japanese...or both sweatdrop
My char is a level 4 rdm, but i have one more question:
Is windurst desolate on ALL the servers or just no one likes it on sylph? sweatdrop

so many different people offering so many different server passes gonk I just realized that i cant transfer my PC i'm playing now to the new server, i have to make a new char...and i have 15k on her sweatdrop Oh well, i'll just make that money back again

Well, you have hardly experienced the game at all.

Yes, Windurst does tend to be desolate, because most people know that Windurst is the farthest place from everywhere. To get from Bastok to San d'Oria, you go to Bastok > South and North Gustaberg > Konschtat Highlands > Valkurm Dunes > La Theine Plateau > Ronfaure > San d'Oria.

However, from Bastok to Windurst...

Bastok > South and North Gustaberg > Konschtat Highlands > Valkurm Dunes > Selbina > Take a 15 minute boat ride to Mhaura [Pirates can also attack] > Buburimu Peninsula > Tahrongi Canyon > Sarutabaruta > Windurst.

And the last couple of days, there has been an event going on, so many people were occupying themselves with that. And if you've been asking for help in /shout, a lot of people filter out /shouts (Especially during the spring events. Oh my God, the shout log is enormous in that.)

So... just keep going on Sylph and hang in there. Be friendly with other low levels--You won't believe how many of your fellow low-levels are new characters for veteran players or high levels just levelling a low level job.

true. I dont have my shout off, and no one hardly does any shouting. Most of my memory is from playing a year ago (I looked at one of my content id's and it was made in nov 04) And windurst was the farthest from the other places...had to take the ferry to get to the dunes.... But it was still much more populated, and i like windurst best sad I love being surrounded by mithras and tarutarus, bastok is just all humes and galka's (my least favorite races) and sandoria is like nazi germany gonk
I'll keep going for a while longer, but i'm sure in the end i'll be switching servers, i'm kinda sick of sylph sweatdrop

ya you get asshats from every server, guy for example was shouting in bastok the other day on bis for money to get a wp he needed right away an some idiot was all "go farm!" "go get the money yourself an kill 20 gobs!" I felt like slappin the guy...i mean come on whats 2k....

Bismarck isnt the best of the best but it does have its share of really good players, if you really want i can get you a wp there an answer any questions you want that i can ( i havent gotten pass lvl 45 so im not TOO knowlegable about everything in the game). Maybe even give ya 15k booster for your loss...15k isnt much to me i can easly get it back farming firecrystals in gheslba. sweatdrop
