Okay, so there is this guy at my school, Bacon, and I like him, but I'm not sure I should. See, my friend Michelle, who is really good friend's with Bacon, told me he's gay when I told her I liked him, and I've heard from other people that he's gay, but when I asked him, he told me he wasn't. Another thing is, last year, he dated one of my friend's, Kyrianna, but he broke up with her and said he only went out with her cause he didn't want people calling him gay. So, if I went out with him, that might cause some strain between me and Kyrianna, and we've been friends since kindergarten.
The thing is, he's really nice, and funny, and a great guy, and I think he may like me too. We're going into high school next year, and we decided to take Drama and Beginning Tennis together.
I'm not sure if I should like him, or if we should just remain friends.
Advise?

Hun, you should try and be friends with him! It's really amazing when a guy and a girl get to know each other well first and then, if some chemistry happens between you, then it will be perfect!

eye_of_water Hun, you should try and be friends with him! It's really amazing when a guy and a girl get to know each other well first and then, if some chemistry happens between you, then it will be perfect! Me and Bacon arefriends though. We aren't best friends or anything, but he's still my friend. I've only started liking him recently though, shortly after I told him my best friend's brother wanted to have his babies (as a joke).

for the sake of being sensitive to Krianna, just ask how she would feel about it, she'll probabley be fine with itonce you ask
after that, go for him!

I agree wit June ask Krianna first and then if its a green light then GO! for it. That happened to be and my best friend abd we are still best friends

I would ask Kyriana about it, but the way I found out they dated was when I mentioned him when we were talking, she said he was a 'jerk' and told me what happened. So Kyriana doesn't like Bacon anymore, and that's why I feel it would harm our friendship. It would seem like I was totally ignoring that he hurt her, or that I was taking his side or something, though I personally do think Kyriana is over reacting a little. Bacon apologized many times, and she told him she wasn't mad.
Ugh, well anyway, I've decided there is no point trying not to like him, so I will. He might even come over and hang out this weekend. Hurrah!

still, it would be best just to ask her, "how would you feel if i asked Bacon out?"
you never know what the answer might be, and asking never hurts, especially when spoken kindly, but it's never until asking can a way appear
