Karin rested under a tree, she contently ate her yakisoba glad to have some time off from working. Who knew being a receptionist would be that hard? But maybe it would do her good to become independent.
"Mmmm...delicious."
She then picked up her tea and took a drink, and exhaled contently. It wasn't so bad relying on herself. She had come to learn that relying on others was holding her back.

A perfect day it was for a little practice as the hyper blond fae slowly made his way towards a grove of trees. He grinned mischievously as a squirrel as it sat not to far off in the grass. Playfully he started sneaking after it with twitching ears.
"Eh hee hee you just keep walking.. keep going." he chuckled to himself as the creature paid no attention to him.
Suddenly, Naruto flung a kunai at the animal and took off in chase. As the squirrel chattered in an angry state it kept running from the crazed fae. Naruto flung another kunai, but this time missed having it land inches from a familiar fae which he paused knowing she be so mad at him for that one.

"WHAT THE HEMLOCK!?"
Karin shouted as she nearly choked on her tea, so much for a peaceful lunch. She set her meal down and stormed in the direction of the thrower of the blade. She quickly grasped him by the ear and twisted it.
"Come with me you baka!! I don't care if its been months!! YOU RUINED MY LUNCH TIME PEACE!!!"

Naruto was about bolt away when he was forcibly grabbed by the ear. It was Karin alright, this he knew for certain. He had to run into her now after that whole other adventure and now...
"Ow ow owwwwwwww" he cried being drug with her. Flailing his paws he tried regaining balance from the man handling meanki.
"Karin-san that hurts... please?' he pleaded hoping she'd let go of him. It had been ages since he last saw her and she was scary as ever. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed the squirrel laughing, or so it seemed. What? Did everything have something against him these days.

"YOU! You are going to get me a fresh Yakisoba! You made me spill it when you carelessly threw that Kunai at me!"
He tail whipped viciously, she grabbed his wrist and dragged him towards the town. She would be damned if she would pay for a replacement meal when he was to blame.
"Obviously running off with that Pink haired b***h and her friends and abandoning me didn't teach you any manners!"

Naruto dug his feet and claws in the ground for more balance as his ears pulled back. What was Karin's problem anyway? He had to learn things from his new teacher, not his fault he was drug off like he was half the time unconscious without his control. But for her to mock Sakura-chan like that.
"Ne ne Karin-san stop." she complained growing a little more braver, "Don't you call Sakura-chan a b***h!" he growled lashing his tail. Something happened beyond his control and now she was making him pay for it.
"It wasn't my fault I was drug off! I had to go somewhere no one would tell me okay?! Now stop treating me like I'm some damn kid. I'll go get your yakisoba.. fine." Reaching up he unlatched himself from her rubbing his wrist. Whatever Pein had done to her must of been horrible. But what could he do that it was over he protested.

"Oh! And I'm fine! If Lei Fang didn't find me and bring me to Cloud who knows what might have happened. There are sickos on this island besides Akatsuki. Dragons of Earth, Organization XIII, and this lunatic in black armor who picks fights with anyone! Hmph!"
She turned away, she was quite temperamental anymore, it was all due to the fact she felt abandoned. She was left in the middle of a clearing. It took her a while to learn to trust anyone again.

Naruto tried to follow her words but was getting lost in each organization she was mentioning. He sighed and looked toward the village scenting out where yakisoba was being sold. When he perceived his destination he scowled off checking his money pouch. He'd have enough for two at least. Best to get this over with now and fill his belly while he was at it.
So he padded over getting what he needed then returned dragging his feet along. Approaching her in a bit of embarrassment he sighed, "Gomen Karin-san I didn't know. Itachi-san had to take me somewhere and I had to follow, "he frowned holding out her fresh yakisoba in apology.

"Thank you."
She took the yakisoba and began to eat quietly. She was particularly angry cause she was on her lunch break for one thing.
"Naruto it wouldn't kill you to get a job. I' sure Cloud would hire you."
It would be well noted the lack of the -kun at the end of the blond's name. It would seem almost as if she had lost her infatuation with him, almost as if she was holding a bitter grudge.
"Next time be more careful throwing your toys around. Because they might not be so forgiving and leave the squirrels alone."
She finished eating her yakisoba and threw away the trash produced by it, she then looked sternly at the blonde.
"Thank you, now I have to get back to work. Someone has to keep the idiots in line. Because Cloud doesn't have the best staff."

Naruto was relieved she was more tolerable now. Seating himself not saying another word he began taking in his own wonderful lunch. Letting the warmth curve within his stomach as it ceased to growl any longer.
When she mentioned a job he blinked in surprise, "Nani? A job Karin-san? But being a ninja is a job isn't it?' he queried with a little confusion. How could she say such a thing, not to mention why was she being so bitter around him he wondered. Before she would of thrown herself at him, but now it was like he had stabbed her with a kunai.
He watched her get up and mention returning to work. Picking up his lost kunai he frowned at her, "Karin-san are you alright?" He had no idea what to do now she seemed so incredibly angry at him.

"Your wallet is practically empty Naruto. Obviously you need a real job."
She rolled her eyes as she walked towards her place of employment. She couldn't believe she liked him, he was childish as ever, and never grew up. She then froze in her tracks, anger boiling deep inside of her heart as he asked that question.
"Am I alright?"
She turned and glared at him, how could he ask her such a question, how could he not know the answer.
"Am I alright!? Oh Im just wonderful! I'm still feeling like I was betrayed by my only friend!"

Same as before he was on broken glass with this darn meanki. Why couldn't she understand that he was not at fault for being drug off and unconscious. He had no idea that she had been abducted with all the commotion that went on in that fight. Flying cupcakes, strange faes, it was all too messed up to help him remember anything.
He was about to say something when he pipped completely quiet not making matters worse. He figured he'd just go with the flow for now, then perhaps he'd bring it up later.
"Okay I need a job..., " he mumbled as he felt the lightness of his froggie wallet.
Looking at her he expected something but unsure of what.

"You are so helpless sometimes...I swear..."
Karin was indeed quite irate, a lashing of her tail as she continued to walk. She couldn't even look at Naruto, she used to adore him like a rabid fangirl, but now she had grown to not rely on him as her reason to exist.
"Fine, I will talk to Cloud. You need to grow up a little, this isn't world of ninjas, there are psychos all over."

Placing his wallet firmly back in his pocket he followed her sympathetically. He pondered what the female had gone through while he was being drug to Itachi's client's house. His mind wandered to events thereafter leading to the arrival of Sakura's new brood. But it was short lived due to the massive fight that broke out. Deidara had left with his pink haired son and wasn't seen again. Sakura stormed off with her daughter and followed the same disappearing route once more. But what really happened that made Karin so damn bitter he wondered.
"Ne Karin-san. Tell me what happened. What did that orange haired freak do? Did he hurt you?" he growled clenching his fists in irritation.
He scoffed a little then nodded, "Alright. I'll see about this job and I promise you Karin-san I won't let anyone hurt you again. I'm a ninja and I protect those in my company. I promise you this from now on, " he grinned with a curt nod of his head, "you can count on me."

"NOTHING HAPPENED TO ME! Not that I know of, Pein put me under genjutsu when he took me baka!"
She scowled as she walked into Strife Delivery, she wished simply he would grow up a little. Stop this chanting of how he was a ninja.
"Abandon me again, and I will track you down, and cut your stones off. Im holding you to your word."
