Tas was bored, completely and otterly bored. He had been walking for hours and not one interesting or exciting thing had happened to him. He hadn't even found a rabbit to follow and see what rabbits did when followed.

Sighing, Tas decided to try something. Maybe it would cause something to happen and then he wouldn't be bored. Taking a deep breath, Tas let out a loud, long and deep roar.

Ithnan's nose was pressed to the ground, blue eyes closed for the moment as he attempted to pick up the scent of something that could be considered prey. Most of the scent was just that of other dragons until... hah! There was something. He smiled slightly and followed after the scent, blue eyes scanning the ground in front of him. Rabbit; despite that, it was still better than nothing. He made sure to stay completely silent, creeping forward slowly, before-

A startling roar pierced the air, causing Ithnan to jump, stumbling forward and then rolling down the rest of the hill, the rabbit running off into the bushes. The pink male rolled into something else and growled furiously, lifting himself up to glare at- another male? He blinked softly, eyes going wide for a moment before he glared once again. Stupid dragons and their... irritating.

Tas smiled happily at the pink dragon that rolled into him, completely unaffected by the glare. This was just the sort of thing he wanted to happen and now that he had found something interesting, Tas wanted to know all about him.

"Hi! Who are you? I'm Tasslehoff, but almost everyone I know calls me Tas. What where you doing? Why where you rolling? Do you like rolling? Is it fun? What else do you like to do? What's your favorite food? Do you live around here? Are there others? "

Ithnan's glare disappeared slowly when the other male started speaking. Of course, his eyes didn't get any wider or anymore surprised; he simply stared blankly at the other, before shaking his head and going back to sniffing the ground for traces of -preferably- deer. He wagged his tail a bit, thinking over everything that the other had asked him before finally replying to every. Single. Question. In the proper order, no less.

"Ithn-nan, hu-hunti-ing, 'ca-'cause I t-t-tripped, n-no I d-d-don't, n-no it's no-no-not, I d-d-don't kno-ow, f-f-fish, ye-yes, and y-y-yes," he stammered, not looking up at the other and waiting to be bombarded with questions about why he spoke in such a manner. That would be a fun thing to try to reply to, wouldn't it?

Tas was curious about the talking but he knew it was rude to ask about things like that, and he really didn't want to upset his new friend, so he started his questions on the other answers.

"I like the name Ithnan. Do you have nicknames? Are you hurt? What are you hunting. Do you want help? Is it a mate or a pack your with? "

All through his questions, Tas was smiling at Ithnan. He like the pink dragon but he like almost everyone he met...even if they didn't like him back.

This dragon was curious as a hatchling, wasn't he? Well, when a curious hatchling was, in fact, born. He, himself, had never been all that curious, simply content to be a servant to his king. He blinked over at the darker male, but didn't lift his head, taking a few steps and trying to find a trace of deer. He scoffed a bit at the last question, but shook his head anyway.

"My k-k-king calls m-me 'Ith' on occa- on occas-sion," he commented with a bit of a shrug. His name wasn't that long to begin with, he wasn't sure why it would need to be shortened. "'M f-f-fine. I-I'm trying to fi-f-find d-d-deer m-meat," he said, nodding a bit. "I wo-wouldn't- wouldn't m-mind he-help. I s-s-serve and ta-travel w-with my k-k-king and his m-m-mate. I h-h-have a ch-ch-child to c-c-care for, as w-w-well." He growled softly under his breath at that thought. Yes, a son who resembled him as well as the hatchling's mother, yet had been stolen by that arrogant- No, he wouldn't think about that right now. No need to turn himself against his king even more than he already had.

"Ooh a child, I want children but I don't have a mate. I always wondered what it would be like to have one though...a mate I mean. Well a mate and child would both be new experiences. What's your child like? Does your child look like you. They would be lucky if they did. I didn't know there was such a thing as a King, is it a new thing? I wonder why no one told me about it. Is he a good King? Do you want to go north, while I go south? I'm good at getting deer to run in the direction of my hunting partner. They always run from me, it makes me curious as to why. Rabbits are the same way."

Ithnan was quickly becomeing one of his favorite dragons simply for the fact he was answering his questions. Most brushed him off pretty quickly and Tas never got his questions answered.

Ithnan shrugged a bit at the mate comment; he didn't really have a mate. Stormwind had been... more of a fling than anything. No less, despite thinking she was pretty and all -which she was- he was never really attracted to her in... that way. "I d-d-don't have a ma- a mate eith-either. J-j-just a s-s-son," he commented, though he honestly didn't want to think about Naiosalas at the moment. The little boy was 'under the care of his king', so to speak. A ward. Stupid Syoto...

"Y-y-yeah," Ithnan said, chuckling softly in reply to the question about whether or not his son looked like him and completely missing the compliment to his colouration. "L-like mys- myself, but h-he als-so has his mo-mother's r-r-rainbow colo- coloration, a-a-and h-h-horn on the t-tip of his sn-sn-snout." He nodded a few times. His son could have been considered blessed or cursed with his girlie markings, he wasn't sure which. Either way, he was glad that the boy resembled his mother as well as himself. It was a win/win situation.

"Umm... th-that's a matter of op- opi- opinion, I guess. I th-think he is a g-g-good king m-most of the t-time, bu-but few oth-thers really l-l-like him," Ithnan replied, before glancing up at the idea of one of them going north, the other south. He watched Tas for a moment, before nodding at the idea, nose to the ground for a moment before he started trotting north, toward the higher parts of the mountains, sniffing the air for any sign of deer.

Tas had more questions to ask, but Ithnan had started going north, so he decided to wait and ask them later. Turning south, Tasslehoff began his search for deer. He was good at this, having learned from watching and tracking them before, what type of marking they left when they moved. In groups or on their own, Tas could follow them.

He was probably on his search for a good ten minutes before he saw the signs he was looking for. Following them, Tas quickly spotted his prey. Getting into possition so they would run away from him and toward his hunting partner, Tas let out another mighty roar, except this time it would help Ithnan to catch dinner and not scare it away.

Just like he knew they would, the deer ran in the direction Ithnan would be. Tasslehoff, ran after them and began hearding them closer to Ithnan, ready to take one down when they got to Ithnan.

There had been a pack of deer in this direction, but they'd been headed south, which forced Ithnan to rely on his hunting partner. Geez, that was an odd feeling- needing to trust someone to get food. He wondered if that had ever felt strange to Syoto, or if it had just come naturally to him. The young dragon shook his head, before nearly jumping at the sound of a roar, a grin coming to his face.

He started trotting back toward Tasslehoff, before breaking out in a run upon seeing the deer. Blue eyes darted across the pack with the experience of a professional hunter, and he grinned when he spotted one with a limp, the one that was lagging behind all the rest. Darting halfway around the pack, he gestured toward the deer, motioning for Tas to attack at the same time before he ducked down and made a sharp turn, running with the deer for a moment before jumping up to attack the one he'd made note of, teeth barely grazing its neck but still steering it off, making it slow slightly as it headed in Tas' direction.

Tas grinned as he saw Ithnan running toward him and nodded when he indicated the deer to attack. This was great, he hadn't hunted with anyone in a while and he was really enjoying himself. Watching Ith guide the deer away from the herd, Tasslehoff prepared to attack the frantic prey.

When it got close enough, Tas looked towards Ith a second before he attacked, going for the vulnible neck, trusting his hunting parter to help take down the large animal.

Ithnan's grin only brightened when his partner had actually done what was expected, as though he was thinking that wouldn't happen. He growled softly, before darting around the deer to the same side as Tas, jumping against the deer's side and tackling it to the ground, allowing Tasslehoff to finish the kill.

He panted softly, a grin on his face as he left one of his paws resting on the carcass of the animal. "N-ni-ni-nice w-w-work, T-T-Tas."

Tas panted beside Ithnan and simply grinned. He was glad he could could help his new friend and if he was lucky he could stay around for a while. He loved traveling but he had been getting lonely by his own and his previous travel companions had decided to set out early and not tell him about it. With child-like innocense, Tas had simply assumed it had been an accidental oversight and not the mean-spirited abandonment it had been but either way it had left the curious dragon traveling and hunting on his own.

"Do you need help getting it back home? Are others waiting for you? Do you need to get more? I can help you get more if you need it."

Ithnan smiled a bit when the questions returned, chuckling and shaking his head before he looked up at the other once again. He really did act like a hatchling, didn't he? No sense of what was dangerous and what wasn't or the fact that being so clingy to one dragon could somehow be a good idea, despite the fact that he barely even knew who the pink male was.

"Th-their n-n-not re-really wa-waiting for m-m-me," he panted softly, trying to catch his breath, the tip of his tail waving behind him a little bit. He smiled a bit at the other. "Th-th-though I w-wouldn't m-m-mind the co-co-company."

"Oh good!," Tas said happily, a big grin on his face. He really wanted to spend time with the other dragon and had worried he had other things to do that didn't include him.

"What did you want to do? Should we hunt some more or maybe take our kill back first? Is there anywhere to fish around here? I'm good at fishing. Do you like fishing?"
