The sun was high up in the sky, and for the Winter season it was warm. Granted it was a bit windy and the area was damp from the melted snow, but Cyrena didn't mind. She waited patiently in the clearing for Tenzai and Zane to show up, excited for the outing to the lake. She was sure that it was going to be a nice day, even as a fluffy white cloud drifted overhead, blocking out the sun. She looked up at it, wondering what shape it seemed to be. After a moment she determined it to be a rabbit, or something like that. The sound of footsteps suddenly rang in her ears from afar, and she turned her head to look in the direction they were coming from, anticipating that they were the footsteps of Tenzai.

Tenzai let a sigh of pure joy as he padded up the dirt road to the lake, relieved that Cyrena had remembered to meet him at the lake. "Cyrena!" he called out to her, just itching to hold her again. "I didn't keep you waiting, did I?" He nuzzled her cheek softly and let her sweet scent wash over his senses for a second. He then looked up at the sky, surprised to see that it always already past noon. "I hope Zane didn't get lost," he mumbled to himself.

Zane came up a different path and stopped as he saw Tenzai and Cyrenna. He watched as Tenzai nuzzled her, and they were both smiling. Love just seemed to roll all over the place. "...Ugh..." Zane mumbled to himself, rolling his eyes. But he had agreed to come, and he liked Tenzai and Cyrenna, even though he didn't really know Cyrenna that well. But she was family, so it counted for something. He was also glad to be out, and glad that it wasn't raining or too cold.
He walked up to them and greeted them with a "Hey."

"Hi Tenzai! Of course not," Cyrena replied, happy that Tenzai was here. She then heard a greeting from down a different path, and looked to see who it was (though she figured it was Zane). "Hello Zane! How are you today?"

"Hey Zane~" Tenzai replied back to Zane, taking a step forward to greet him. "I hope you're not afraid of getting wet," he teased, beckoning Zane to come closer. "You see, I'm planning to actually get on the lake," he whispered to Zane. He then winked at Cyrena, and, in a loud voice, announced that he would go get the food he had prepared for their picnic. "I'll be right back," he promised as he scurried down the path he had come from, leaving Cyrena and Zane to chat.

"I'm good," he replied to Cyrenna and then nodded a greeting to Tenzai. The water comment had not made him happy. "Ehheh...you better be joking..." A picnic he could handle but...he cared nothing for the lake. Just looking at it would be fine. He watched as Tenzai scurried down the path and then turned to Cyrenna. "Uh, so how are you?"

"I'm good!" replied Cyrena with a smile. Then she laughed, "I hope Tenzai doesn't force you into the lake. I don't think fire and water get along very well." She wasn't sure if he had fire powers, but she knew that he might, and that if he does he might be as adverse to the lake as Kavrin would be.

"And...I'm back!" Tenzai announced as he rounded the corner with a small womven basket that contained all their food in his mouth. "Where do you guys want to sit?" he asked, gesturing to the entire lakefront after setting the basket down on the road.

((Oops. ^^; Sorry Sara. Good think you told me so I don't keep doing it. XD; )
Zane flinched at the thought of going in the water. He didn't really like water at all. He hoped Tenzai wouldn't try to get him to go in, even though he didn't think he could force him. "Heh, he better not," Zane said, a slight smile on his face, as if it was some sort of joke. He wondered if Cyrena liked the water. "Do you like the water Cyrena?"
He looked at Tenzai as he came back and the basket of food made him feel hungry. "Any place is good with me."

Cyrena looked over to Tenzai and smiled. She looked around the area spotting a nice little patch of grass that didn't seem too bumpy or close to the lake. "Over there seems good to me," she said pointing. Then, redirecting her attention to Zane, she answered his question, "As a matter of fact I do. I love swimming, and I like blending in with the vegetation that grows in the water." She remembered that one time she had worried her father a bit after she went beneath the water and seemingly didn't come back up.

"Alright, let's go there, then," Tenzai replied cheerfully, completely oblivious to Zane's dislike of water. "I didn't know that, Cyrena, " he chimed in as she expressed how she liked to swim. "I guess you would blend in really well," he added, remembering that somebody once told him that her nickname was a tree frog or something of the sort.

Zane looked at the spot and nodded, ready to follow them over there. He chuckled a bit at the thought of Cyrena blending in to the vegetation in the water. "That's interesting," he said. "I guess I'm the only one here who doesn't really like it.." he trailed off a little at the end, thinking about how he hoped he wouldn't ruin it for them by being a "party pooper."
"Uh, the lake is nice though.." he added.

"That's alright Zane. No rule says you have to like water," Cyrena replied truthfully with a smile. She was sure they could find something to do that Zane would enjoy also. She nodded at Tenzai, saying, "I did it one time and Dad couldn't find me for a while. I worried him a bit."

"It's quite alright with me, Zane. I'm not going to force you," Tenzai smiled cheerfully at his best friend. So far, this picnic was going very well. He reached the spot that Cyrena had spotted, and carefully set the basket down onto the ground before opening it and removing a variety of berries. Fishing around the bottom, he also unearthed a few apples. "Dig in, guys," he said.
((I have no idea what they eat. XD))

((Sandwiches? 8D I just imagine that namrah eat whatever they want XD Since they have so many human qualities anyway they might as well eat our food too right? owo))
Zane sat down and looked into the basket. He grinned a little and pulled out some berries. He looked into the basket and wondered if there were any turkey sandwiches in there or anything like that. He decided to wait until Cyrena and Tenzai got some food before really digging in.
