User Image"Hold still, Riuke!" Akemi ordered lightly, his tail carefully brushing the small hatchling away from the the side of his hips. It was the third time that the boy had come close to slipping off.
Akemi flies as quickly as he could without risking any of the FOUR babies slipping off of his back. He was starting to regret not taking two trips back and forth instead of taking all of the babies home in one trip.
He was going to get chewed out even worse by Xai for this.
He had gotten kicked out of their house a few months ago, after a argument about Akemi's loyalty and betrayal. He regretted going behind his lovers back deeply, to the point that it had put him into a slight depression. But he had gotten through it when he found Mitternacht again, to find out that she was pregnant with his children. He was there this time when the mother of his children gave birth, and even helped as much as a nervous father could. He stayed awhile longer to see after the children, before making up his mind to go home to Xai.
Mitternacht had agreed and they split up the siblings, with the promise that Akemi would come back every now and again to visit. Akemi wasn't sure how Xai would react to him being back home, none the less bringing four small hatchlings along with him. It might bring back their past argument, and there was still the chance that he'd get kicked out again, but he knew that she would fall for the little babies. He could tell that she missed having children in their house. Hopefully it could lighten up her mood.

Akemi felt a slight shifting on his head and glanced upward to see a small black tail flicking against his helm.
The youngest, Raiya, was laying down across the top of his head, her small hands gripping his horns. The twins both held on tight to his mane, both squeaking softly whenever he'd curve too sharply in the air or move too suddenly.
The last baby on his body, Ruike, just couldn't sit still. He kept insisting to move around and giving out cute little squeaks that sounded similar to the word "Fly". It would be some time since the little boy would gain the ability to fly, and Akemi wasn't going to start teaching him how to at this moment. All he wanted to do was get home safely. The house was just coming into sight, and Akemi picked up his pace slightly, drawing nearer and nearer every second. Akemi stopped over the front yard of the house, trying to think of how to land when he felt little claws drawing near to his tail. "fwy!" Ruike exclaimed, pouncing at Akemi's long tail hair. He swiped it once, hovering in midair for a second before plummeting towards the ground. Akemi's heart jumped all the way up into his throat. "RIUKE" he yelled, arching his back, ready to go after his son. "Nuu" His daughter's squeaked, gripping on tighter to their daddies hair and horns. Akemi started plummeting towards the ground. He could hear his son giggling. 'Faster. I need to go faster.' Akemi thought, trying to fly faster without throwing his other children off. Was he going to make it?

Xai was a wreck. She had kicked out Akemi in her anger. 'For a damn good reason!' she thought, but she still couldn't take it. He had left, came back, and left again. And he hadn't come back for awhile. She was slowly stopping to do basic upkeep of the house and herself. Her hair was knotted, she had bags under her eyes, she had a slight funk about her, and was starting to show ribs. The twins had been taking of the house in her absence. They tried to help her but gave up after awhile of her just asking,"Did he get back yet?" Xai didn't know how to feel about all of this. She wanted to be angry, she was angry. But she gave up her anger just for his return. She really stopped caring, she wanted him back. Period.

Xai lived on the back porch for the past three days. And whenever a bird passed by she would go greet it. So when she was taking a rare nap was, of course, when Akemi came back. Xai woke up easily now, so just the little squeak of the falling baby had her alert. Her snapped up eagerly only to focus on the falling baby. She unconsciously had already started after it before she was resolved to save it. Xai zooms toward the falling figure and manages to get one hand around the middle of the babe before belling out in the dirt with a sigh. She rolls over and stares at the thing she caught before really realizing what had happened. "Wha?" she utters before looking up and seeing Akemi. She immediately brightens up "You're back" she squeaks. But looks down at the now writhing baby. "And what did you bring with you." she mutters her mood quickly darkening.

((I love the title. I started singing the song in my head XD ))

Ruike stares happily up at the pretty big Painter that had caught him. He giggles, kicking out his legs and squeaking playfully. He doesn't mind her tone towards his father, too thrilled about seeing someone new.

Akemi sighed in relief seeing Xai basically come out of nowhere to catch Ruike just in time. She had a sense for trouble and babies that must have developed through motherhood. 'Thank goodness.'
Akemi landed gently, crouching down to the ground to let the twins hop off of his back. Raiya stayed on her father's head, watching curiously as the red Panlun talked to her father.
Akemi smiles at seeing his love for the first time in forever. He'd been away from her for far too long. His heart flutters at her expressing the delight of having him back but sinks nervously when her tone switches into a darker one. "I can explain." He says with confidence. He wouldn't let her kick him back out of her life so quickly. "I know that you haven't forgotten my... mishap a few month back." Akemi shifted his head so Raiya was laying in the middle of his horns instead of across them. "And this was the result. I can understand if you want me to leave right now, but I wish to talk to you about this first."

Shiva falls asleep at Akemi's feet. Exhausted by the trip.
Durga stands near shiva gives little hisses at the evil painter who captured her brother.
((the twins have random color tones for now))

Xai watches astonished as MORE babies hop off of Akemi. 'Dear God, this man has the sperm of the mad man!' she thinks, her eyes going wide. She cradles the baby to her chest without thinking about it. When she catches herself, she knows she should put him with Akemi. They weren't hers! They were her lover's Mistresses! But she can't help it, she still holds him enjoying having a baby in her arms again. She tries not to show her joy at this wriggling little packages to let Akemi thinks he was off the hook.

"Well I hope you can because I demand one. I hope you don't expect me to take in YOUR MISTRESSES children." she warns though that was her intention. "No Akemi, I forgot all about you breaking my heart, so come in! Have some tea," she says sarcastically but walks in to the house anyways. She ignores his last statement because of his ridiculousness. He would not leave her with four children, that was not happening. She spots the hissing child out of the corner of her eye. She leans down to the tiny baby ,"Shhhhh" she says before scooping up her and her twin in her open hand. She tucks them into the crook of her arm and heads back into the house. She yells once she is in,"Your father is home." Ying and Yang pop there heads out of there rooms, sees the kids and quickly evaporate from sight.

She goes to the dining room. She spots its vaguely dingy look form the kids breakfast. So she drops the kids on a pillow and grabs the table cloth ends, scoops up the dishes, slides open the door at he other end, and puts it outside. She then quickly gets things set for tea while watching the kids. The hissing one, looking confused. The sleeping one, sleeping. And the dangerous cutie, wandering around.

Akemi watches, satisfied by the way that she holds his children close to her body. She wouldn't still be hanging on to them if she was so disgusted that they were Mitternacht's babies. Yes, he could understand why she was still so furious at him, and didn't really expect her to treat him any different for awhile. Yet, Akemi wished that she would treat them as her own. They hardly even knew their own blood-mother, and Akemi took them away to Xai so early so they would get to know her as their mother, not Mitternacht.
He didn't expect Xai to forget, knowing that she would never forget. Things such as what Akemi did, do not get forgiven and forgotten. Only time would tell whether they could still love each other without her resenting.
"Tea sound's pleasant." Akemi smiled, trying to lighten the mood and not really minded when it failed to do so.
Akemi follows her into the house, looking around to find that nothing has really changed. There was a light layer of dust on the surface of pretty much everything, and Akemi couldn't help but wonder how Xai had let that happen. She had always kept the house spotless. About a year ago she would have freaked if she found this much dust, anywhere!
Akemi looks up from teh dust to see Ying and Yang poking their heads out of their rooms. 'So they still live here?' Akemi thought, not surprised in the slightest. He was about to greet them when they disappeared back into their rooms. A frown brought down the edges of his lips. So Ying and Yang were still angry with him too?

Akemi follows Xai into the Dining room, taking his seat at his old spot. His picks Raiya up from his horns and places her onto the pillow next to him.
Akemi clears his throat and looks at Xai. "Mitternacht gave birth to my children one month ago. I spent that month with her helping her get back onto her feet and helping her raise the seven children that we had..." Akemi took a deep breath, watching Xai's eyes widen further at the news that he had seven new children in all. "After a month, I couldn't take it any more. I had to come back here. I've missed you so much, Xai. And," Akemi bit his lower lip, "I know how lonely you have been with just Ying and Yang being the only children left at home. And they wont be able to stay here forever. It's only a matter of time before they leave. I know that it's no excuse for what I did, but I want you to be happy. My children, could be yours two. Family isn't always connected by blood, you know that. Rampel wasn't ours and yet he is still our son and we treated him none different from our other children. These four can be your children, and you can be their mother, Xai. I'm not going to force this on you though. You can think about it for as long as you'd like. Give it a night, if you choose to have us leave, we will."

Xai almost cracks when she hears Akemi's off hand remark. She had missed him. She keeps going though. She ignores Ying and Yang as usual. They have been scarce and she could hardly blame them. When in the dining room Xai's heart gives out a thump when she sees Akemi in his usual spot. She hadn't seem him there in months.

Xai sits down as he starts off. She gnashes her teeth together when he mentions the MONTH the were together. And her eyes go wide when he mentions SEVEN! Seven children. "He MUST have been a fertility god in a past life or something!' Though she gives a light smile when he talks about needing to come back. She needed him to come back. She rolls her eyes when he talks about the children leaving. 'Duh, I know that. I'm waiting for them to leave the little hassles.' she thinks. But her jaw drops when talks about bonds and her being here mother. "Akemi. They are my children now. You will not take them away from me. And I know about non-blood bonds. Obviously. You will not take them back to that women. She isn't a real mother if she just gives up her children like that. Or did you steal them?!" she says comenting on an obvious realization. 'GOD this hits close to home.' "Regardless, I need you Akemi. You are mine. I want you, I am a mess with out you. But I will NEVER forgive you. I can't believe you would do this to me to be honest." She says all of this with a stone cold face. For once in her life she feels completely lucid around Akemi.

Akemi scratched his cheek, covering a small smile from Xai's view when she accepted his children as her own. He knew that she wouldn't be able to turn the babies away. He resisted the strong urge to defend himself, and Mitternacht. That would be one of the last things that he' be willing to bring up with Xai right now. If she thought that he had taken the babies, then so be it. Mitternacht had trusted him with their hatchlings and he trusted Xai to take care of them along with himself.
His heart sped up when she told him that she needed him. She had no idea how much he needed her also. He was lost without her, in heart and in mind. He would be her's forever, and whether she really liked it or not, she would be his. Akemi never expected her to really forgive him, he hoped that at some point, they could get over this. Akemi waited for his love to stop speaking before opening his own mouth again, "I can not say how sorry I am, Xai. I just hope that we can raise our children together. Yet, I don't want them to have to grow up around two parents who are cold to each other. I'm willing to make a effort, if you are." There was really no effort for him to make. Even if she was Ice-Cold mean to him, he would not stop loving and caring for her. Only the tense and delicate feelings between them was keeping him from taking her into his arms for the first time in -forever. Akemi leaned down swiftly to nuzzle his cheek against Raiya's light purple side before looking back up at his lover. "So, what do you say?"

Xai sighs. She can't believe that she was really just letting this go! She already knew that she forgave him but stubbornly held on to her anger. She would hold this against him for awhile because it was still raw. She would pretend not to care, but she missed him. She snags a wandering baby to keep her hands busy. "You should be sorry!" she snarks out quickly in anger. She quickly stops though, and rubs her temple trying to stop her anger. "You are going to raise the kids with me Akemi, and I will try to get along with you." she says a smirk pulling up corners of her mouth. She even lets out a real smile at Akemi and the cutie baby. 'God I missed him, and his lovely body.' she thinks. "I say, what on earth are these babies names?" she questions before barking out a laugh, and scooting her butt up against his. She snags up another wandering kid and licks his collarbone. She then gets up to make tea to occupy herself and her wandering hands "So now we have two sets of twins. They better not be as bad." she says cuddling the twins with a cocked eyebrow.

Akemi gently picked up Shiva from the floor by his feet. His heart was fluttering with glee at Xai's acceptance. They would get along again. They had to. Things would go back to the way it was before Mitternacht. 'Maybe even better.' Akemi thought, looking down at the slumbering baby in his hands. Yes, it was about time to introduce the children to their new mother. He softly caressed Shiva's face, trying to wake his slumbering son so he'd be able to meet his mother at the same time as his siblings. "This little one is Shiva. He is the boy twin, and is very soft and gentle so far. His twin on the other hand," Akemi gestured to the little girl who still stood near to his feet with her hair standing on end, "is named Durga. She's very protective of her siblings. Quite different from Ying and Yang." Akemi set his son down beside him next to Durga. He picked up Raiya and let her crawl up to her favorite place on his horns. "This is our youngest, Raiya. She's our sweetheart. She's usually shy around strangers." Akemi tilted his head, smiling at the feeling of Raiya gripping onto his horns. "And that little guy that your holding is Riuke." Akemi's lifts lifted even farther when Riuke let out a small mew at the sound of his name. "He's energetic and curious. He's loving of everything and it pretty much fearless. He will probably be a interesting one when growing up."

Xai smiles at Akemi and brings the tea back to the table and pours it while Akemi explains the little ones. "I love them all!" she squeals happily lying down near them and petting them with her fingers. "Shiva is so sleepy which equals no work, Durga reminds me of me! Raiya is such a little Daddy's girl, and Riuke is going to be very interesting indeed." She says poking little Riuke in the nose with her index finger. She scoops up Shiva and dips a finger into her tea and lets a drop hit is forehead,"Wakie Love." she coos and and lets him sip tea from her finger. She then trails her tail around the other two tempting Durga to try to bite it. With her other hand she would sip her tea. "I miss this so much," she says flinching at Durga snagging her tail. "So where are the other children Akemi? Are you ever going to visit your, other children? How long will it take? I am oh so curious." she says her usual bitter personality settling in. But this was a major contrast to her thoughts. She was imagining her bed finally being full again, and feathers flying.

Akemi watched with satisfaction as Xai played and got along with the hatchlings. They had all already taken a liking to their new mother and Akemi had the feeling that everything would be ok. He could feel Raiya squirming on his horns, curious and anxious to go play with Xai like her sibling. Taking the little girl off of his head, Akemi gave her a gentle push towards her new mother, smiling as her daughter glanced back at him before slowly crawling over to Xai's side.
"The three other children are going to be staying with their mother, by both of our choices. She could use some company and they would surely add some light into her life." Akemi paused, knowing that what he said was true. He would miss his other three children deeply. "But, I'll be going back there at least once a year to check up on things. The other three children are just as beautiful as our own." Akemi reached out and snagged Durga's tail, dragging the squirming baby back to his side. "I'd only stay for a day, to get to know the hatchlings before coming back here. Akemi patted Durga on her head, trying to simmer the hatchlings temper. After she stopped squirming, he set her back on the ground and turned his attention back to Xai.

Durga squeals unhappily as Daddy picks her up. 'I GOT HER THOUGH!' she thinks. She tries to wiggle free but gives up after a while and coos when he pats her. He puts her down and she tries to jump back into his lap. She lets out little miff of distress as she tries to crawl up him.

Xai drapes Shiva over her shoulders and he vaguely opens his eyes and then starts nomming her Xai's ear. Xai lets out a squeak and she quickly detaches Shiva from her ear and cringes as she comes away with saliva. She tosses Shiva to Akemi still wiping his drool off her ear. She then replaces him with Raiya. She picks her up and bumps nose with her. She then talks to Akemi but looks and talks to Raiya. "Well well I guess its good you are taking care of your, .. mistake. Wow she was that depressed, so it must have been pity sex!" she says giving a shocked face to Raiya "Yes thats right love Pity sex!" she says using a baby voice, and cuddling her to her. "Hmm once a year isn't bad. I agree on that. Attentive but not overbearing. May I come, I want to see the others." she says for the first time actually looking at Akemi. She then grabs Riuke while Raiya was draped over her shoulder. She then uses Riuke's little hands and pretends it is him talking," YA! Lets all go visit! It will be grand!" she says trying to mimic a kids voice.

Akemi chuckled at Durga's attempts to make it back onto his lap. He picks her up by her middle, wrapping a arm around her lower half to cradle Durga into the crook of his arm. A places a gentle kiss on her forehead, smiling at his adorable daughter.

Akemi catches Shiva with his unoccupied arm, and sets his son at the top of his head. Raiya mews when Xai picks her up and bumps noses with her. She stares into her new mother's eyes curiously, tilting her head to the side as she examined their bright golden color. Raiya doesn't understand Xai's words about her blood-mother, so she just mews quietly at her motherly tone. Raiya squirms, and reaches for her mother's shoulders, only stopping when Xai finally rests her across them. She purrs happily, rubbing the side of her face into Xai's neck.

Akemi sighed. No, it was not pitty sex... was it? He really couldn't recall. If he had heard this situation from another Painter, he would assume the same as Xai had, and yet it really didn't seem to him that their children were made out of pity. Akemi's eyebrows lifted when Xai mentioned that she would like to come along with him to visit Mitternacht and their other three children. He'd have to ask her first, if it would be alright. "I will check with Mitternacht to see if she will invite you into her home. I do not think that it should be a problem, as long as you watch your tongue." Akemi would have to travel alone the first time to be able to ask for her permission. Perhaps the next time, she could come along.
