Lumin had traveled out by himself, a rare occurrence, but his success with his last expedition had given him some courage, and he needed time to think after his failure with his first battle. He had gone to Rinual again, he wanted to see if he could find the strangely colored Houndoom, the only nocturnal Pokemon that Lumin actually liked, that had been rumored to have been seen around here somewhere. He sat on the side of a ledge where he had stopped to take a break and watch the Pidgey in a nearby tree. He was tempted to sketch them, but he really didn't have the time. Lumin stood up and began walking up slightly farther on the ridge, then froze. There, near the top of the little mountain on the edge of the range, was a blue form. It was the Houndoom he had come out to see. The beautiful canine was walking down the other side, not seeming to be in any hurry.
Lumin quickly scrambled up the ledges in an attempt to get there before it was out of sight. As he topped the mountain, not high enough to be cold, but a good way up, he could just see the blue figure that signaled the Pokemon. He slid down the side of the mountain as quickly as he dared. He reached the bottom just in time to see the blue form disappear into a small grove of trees in between mountains.
Lumin followed for a good ways more, never getting close enough to stop and observe the rare colored Pokemon, but not loosing it. One last turn around a tree, and he saw where the dark Pokemon had been going. It was a pack, at least twenty Houndoom and Houndour all in a clearing. Lumin was overjoyed, and immediately pulled out his sketchbook, this wonderful opportunity to sketch these Pokemon in their natural habitat. He captured as many details as he possibly could, from the scruffy and mangy Houndoom that seemed extremely old, to the lean muscles and scars that covered the blue one's body.
He was so enthralled by his drawing that he didn't think about the time, and he only began to worry when the light started to get too dim for him to clearly see his sketch. Immediately, he jumped up and gasped, startling the Dark canines into alertness. He had to get back, it was nearly dusk, and he didn't know how far he was into the mountain range. He looked around, he didn't even know which direction it was. He panicked and began to run in the direction that he thought it might be, but he had no real clue.

"Stay put, ya rascal." Adriel chuckled softly as he tried to put a small houndour trying to escape the hands of the healer. Finally picking her up, he sat back down next to the houndoom mother, who sniffed her pup before going back to cleaning the rest of her litter. The human smile as he took out his sketchbook and began to put down the markings of the houndour and notes on her overall health. It had taken him weeks to gain the trust of the pack, but at last, they had allowed him to check over their pups. The alpha female had given birth two months ago. The pups were rambunctious and extremely playful by then. There was actually one right now gnawing at the tail of his long black trench coat.

Yes, normally he wore his traditional white coat, but he notice the houndooms responded better to the black one. He had noted this for future works with wild houndooms. He took up his pencil and made a note about the blue patches of fur on the female pup. He noted there was a shiny in the pack, and by this, he had a good guess that he was the alpha of said pack. Interesting. He wonder how that had come about, but his pokedex began to vibrate in his pocket. Keeping a secure hand on the pup, he reached with his other and check what alarm had gone off. Ah, it was time to began the walk back to his camp site. Putting it away, he made a few more notes and close his notebook, putting away into his messenger bag. "Well..." The female houndoom looked up at him, worryingly, it had taken no time for them to understand what he did, he healed. "Don't worry." He smiled reassuringly. "All your pups are in good health, and I am willing to bet they will make great additions to the pack."

Putting the pup down by her mother, grabbing his bag, he moved out of the den and stood up, and dusted himself off. He gave a slight bow to one of the other houndooms that stayed behind with the mother and began to walk away. It had been a productive afternoon(he usually slept through the morning). He was pondering what to make for dinner when he heard the clawed paws of houndooms running. He crooked an eyebrow. What startle them? By then he had been a good distant away from the den, and was surprise as the blue alpha male run by him, stopped and stared at him. The healer gave a shrugged and the pokemon gave a huff and ran away. His violet eyes looked about, spotting another one, they had scatter to confuse their...well..whatever send them running.

He walked over to this one and sighed, petting its back gently. The eldest of the pack was barely keeping up. He search his bag and took out a couple of berries, feeding them to it. It was a short burst of energy from the sugars, but at least he will make it back to the dens. Shaking his head as he watched the old houndoom run away, he turned back to his path and began walking once again.

Lumin had gotten himself lost. He mentally berated himself for not thinking before he ran, he might have gotten a semblance of bearings, or maybe even recognized a landmark.. SOMETHING! Now he was utterly lost, he had nothing but his usual sketch gear, and, worst of all, it was getting dark. He thought back to when he had lived in Sunnyshore. It had been during one of the many blackouts... No, he wouldn't think about that now, he had to get out before it got dark.
He ran full tilt, through the underbrush, pushing tree branches out of his way, scaring a group of Ledyba from their hiding place in the bushes, but he didn't stop to look or apologize. He had to get out of the trees before night hit. He had to get out before... No, he had to concentrate on running, just run.
Lumin burst through the trees to come face to face with a large figure, already panicked, Lumin let out a scream. He looked like one of the people who... No, it wasn't.. it couldn't be... Lumin took a deep breath. He wasn't in Sinoh anymore. He had to stay calm.. He was still breathing heavily, but he had calmed himself down enough to at least speak, "S.. sorry about that, sir..."

Adriel turned around when he began hearing something running towards him. Another houndoom? no....this creature was two legged, or at least was running on two. He search his mind for something with such criteria. He shown an eerie calmness as his hand wrapped around the hilt of the thin sword.

His eyes locked onto the human coming through the trees. When he screamed, the healer could only arched one of his white eyebrows. "Quiet alright...."

Lumin swallowed hard, he had to get out of these woods as fast as possible.. but, despite his love of solitude and dislike of strangers, he wasn't very fond of going back by himself. He looked around, the sun was getting lower in the sky, getting closer to going down. Lumin could feel the darkness yawning, threatening to devour him whole. He did his best to retain his composure, but doing a poor job of it, "Um.. do.. do you know the way out of here? I'm.. uh.. kind of lost..."

The arched eyebrow went slightly higher. Another lost trainer, how....predictable. Violet eyes searched over Lumin's overall figure for a moment, correct that, this was a watcher, and one lacking a pokemon. He couldn't help himself but give a huff, some people were really stupid.
"Pick a direction and walk, kid, you are bound to find your way out." His voice was soft and calm, but sounded raspy from lack of use. "And next time you are in town, pick up a GPS add-in for you pokedex."

He began to walk, if the kid got lost, it wasn't his responsibility. The worse thing that could happen is that the houndooms would pick up on the fear scent and think him prey. The scent was so thick at the moment, it was easy for the healer to identify it. "You ain't got much smarts, do ya?"

Lumin was terrified, the sun was going down and this person had just blown him off like it wasn't a big deal. He was alone.. alone in the dark.. again... He went back over years and miles. There had been another blackout, but that was normal. But there were people taking advantage of the darkness and confusion. It was him and his brother.. no, not now, he had to concentrate...
He jumped up and rushed after the tall man, "Wait! Wait! I need to get out of here. Please, please help." He looked up at the sky again, the sun was going down much quicker than he would have liked.. he needed to get out now. Otherwise.. he just needed to get out. Just so long as.. no, not now.. he needed to focus on getting out. If he did, none of that would matter...
He caught up to the man, he was very clearly not going to go with him, "Please, just a direction, just point, please?"

The healer rolled his eyes. "I gave you a direction, just choose your favorite and take off, I am sure you'll find your way out." He smirked down at the teenager. "If it makes ya feel any better, I have no idea where I am." That was a half true, Adriel knew where his camp was and that was where he was headed, but he had no idea where the nearest town was. He looked towards the sky for a moment. "Its a quarter moon tonight, so you will still have some light after the sun goes down, nothing to worry about, right?"

Lumin's eyes grew wider, he didn't... There was no hope. He began getting slightly dizzy. He was going to get trapped out here with the dark and.. them...

He was alone with his brother, he didn't know where his parents had gone, but his older brother was protection enough. Jeremy had Shmack, his Hitmonchan, out of its Pokeball. Nothing to worry about. Lumin was in his room, talking to Jeremy about Pokemon while looking at the PokeLas when they heard the crash...

No, he had to keep calm.. he had to.. get out... He swallowed hard, then his breathing stopped, everything was painted in reds and.. he spun around, the sun was setting! He went pale, barely moving his lips as he whispered "No..."

Adriel blinked a couple of times as he observed the other. "....." He waved his hand in front of the teen's eyes. Was this person having a panic attack? Come on, it wasn't as if being lost was the worse thing that could happen to you. "Hey, kid, are ya alright? Ya look a bit pale."

Lumin was back in his home again, Jeremy quickly stood up, "What was..?" There was another crash, this one not as loud, "Lumin, hide. I got this." Lumin scooped up his PokeLas and went to the closet, his brother was on it, there wasn't anything that could beat Jeremy. Lumin stood in the closet and looked out one of the little slits in the door, he always loved to watch his brother battle. Jeremy locked the bedroom door, then went to stand behind Shmack. There was a pounding on the door, then...
"Hey, kid, are ya alright? Ya look a bit pale."
Lumin jumped, "What?" He looked back up at the sky and the quickly disappearing sun. "I.. I just need to get out of here... They're coming.. I know it... They always come out at night... It never fails..."

A sigh escaped him at the strange answer he got. "What the hell are you talking about?" His eyes narrow for a moment as he tried to make tails or heads of it, but finally he was unable to. Shaking his head, he grabbed the teenager's jacket and began walking once again, pulling the other along. "Come on, I suppose I can put up with your paranoia for one night."

"Hey, you in there, if you know what's good for you, open up!" He was back in the closet, everything was just barely visible in the dim light of the moon outside.
Jeremy smirked, he had yet to loose a battle, no one beat Jeremy, "Yea? And what if I don't know what's good for me?" Shmack chimed in, letting the intruder know what they were up against should they continue on into the room.
There was laughter on the other side of the door, "You've got to the count of three before I break the door down, if I get to three, it's gonna be a lot worse for you, kid."
"I don't think so"
"Fine, I won't even bother counting." There was a loud crack as the door splintered, revealing...
Someone grabbed his shirt, and began pulling him. Lumin was panicked again for a second before he realized where and when he was. He looked back up into the sky, the sun was a tiny sliver on the horizon. Lumin gasped, then turned to the man, "What? What's going on? Where are we going?" He looked around again, any second now, they'd be coming for him.

"We are going to my campsite." The man answer simply as he kept walking. "Since if you stay here staring into space, you are sure as hell gonna be buzzard food for all the predators around these parts." He rolled his eyes. "Not that ya got anything worth eating in that body of yours."

Lumin nodded, he would never make it back before dark, so he could at least have the relative safety of a campsite. He still looked around him constantly, looking for any signs of movement, any sign that there was any kind of threat. It was night, not far into it, but it was, after all. He tried to slow his breathing, but failed miserably. He couldn't help going back to that night.. the night he never wanted to relive...

Jeremy stood his ground as the dust cleared, a man in some sort of uniform stood in the doorway, Jeremy gritted his teeth, "Team Galactic."
The man walked into the room, "Good, you know who I am, so you probly already know the drill. You bow down and grovel, and I'll take your Pokemon. You got it?"
"The only thing I got is a headache from your mouth. If you want Shmack, then you're gonna have to take him, not that you could if you tried."
The Galactic member sniffed, "Fine, I didn't want to have to do this, but I guess I have no choice." The grin on his face said that he had wanted to do this all along. he reached down to his belt and grabbed two Pokeballs.

Lumin shook his head, he had to stay calm, had to keep from panicking, he had to be ready if they came back. He looked around, he had to get out first thing in the morning, but walking around in the dark made him an easy target for an ambush. He suddenly realized, "How.. how much farther is it?"
