Iraqi shoots dead US service personnel

I'm inclined to believe the Iraqi government on this one, I for one find it hard to believe that an Iraqi soldier just randomely decided to shoot at US forces, also I do not find it hard to believe that a US serviceman had slapped an Iraqi perhaps the Iraqi had not done what the soldier said, and rather than point his gun he slapped the Iraqi.

Whatever the case I don't think we will ever completely know what happened, I'm curious to know what you think and why.

I for one think this is quite a bit of a problem. The article you linked to mentions this kind of thing has happened before, but it doesn't seem to say anything about consequences. I certainly hope we are not "overlooking" the deaths of our personell in the interest of "diplomatic relations," or some BS like that, but I fear that may be the case. I think we should demand more accountability and greater inquiry in this matter, as it seems like the whole thing is kinda being hushed over.

Good point, I'm sure the our military is not too happy and is probably pressing for action behind the scenes in order to deal with this quietly rather than provide an embarrassment to the new government in Iraq.
