Nyuni knew that it wasn't really in good faith to be praying to any other gods, but she didn't know what else to do. Praying wasn't the right term, as she wasn't even certain if there were any other gods out there. Doubt plagued her mind, but still she determined on. If there weren't, then what would happen? Nothing. She probably wouldn't get anything. Worst case scenario, she'd probably get repremanded if she happened to get any other god. Hopefully, hopefully it wouldn't be Kita, the Shadow, though. Nyuni wasn't completely sure about her, but the few stories that she had heard weren't anything that she wanted to deal with.
"Please....please listen to me call," she whispered under her breathe, closing her eyes and hoping with all her might. She had secluded herself in a very uncomfortable place, one that she didn't like, and made her nervous. It was what needed to be done to make sure that she would be alone, though.
Ugh. Another tug. When would there mortals leave her alone? They had everything that they needed. Somehow this tug felt different, though. Why? It made her itch, really, and those were never good ones. She always felt about trying to ignore it, but it probably wouldn't be worth it. The tug was too strong, and she probably wouldn't be able to avoid it even if she wanted to. With a sigh, she closed her own eyes, letting the tugging feeling guide her to the mortal realm and to where she was needed. Hah, right. Needed.
Surprise. Another lioness. At least it wasn't a monstrosity of crossed breeds. While she had nothing personal against them, there was no point to them in her eyes. They couldn't breed, yet they would hound her like it was her fault that they couldn't spread their 'wealth.' Hah.
"What do you need?" she asked, to the point. No need to go around business if she didn't need to hang around.
Nyuni gasped. It really did work. So there were other gods out there! She felt like it would probably be more important to keep it to herself though. She didn't want to accidentally offend anyone. Besides, she also didn't want anyone to know that she had prayed to a goddess to help her with her predicament.
"Oh!" She was gorgeous, when she really took a look at her. "So you....you're Love? You're...amazingly beautiful." Doubt filled her again; if there was one so beautiful as this, there was no way she would be able to keep Dios, would there? Underneath the tattoos, she was only a measly red colour. She had always been proud of her colours...until now. Now she felt almost dirty.
"Love?" the lioness asked, laughing. It wasn't a kind laugh, almost mocking in it's tone. It just managed to avoid seeming too harsh, though. "No, dear mortal, I'm not love." That must have been why the tug felt different. For some reason, Love didn't respond. Hm. Talayeh hadn't seen her in too long, though, so who knew what that girl was up to. Odd, but nothing infuriating. Just irritating.
"You managed to get Fertility. Obviously you don't quite know how to ask what you need, mortal." Her tail twitched as she raised up a paw to groom, focusing between the toes. Ugh, this was already driving her nuts. Females lately just begged and begged. There was that one that turned out a little interesting, the white one, but most of them just wanted more. Children were little brats. Now, conceiving them was all the fun. They were none. Someday she might change her tune, but she had never found that right litter yet. Ah well, who cared?
"Fer...tility?" That was almost embarassing! She felt her cheeks flush in heat, but it would be impossible to tell that she was that embarassed, as her red coat managed to hide it all. Her brown eyes shifted to the ground, almost feeling ashamed of looking on the one that almost all mates prayed to. Really! She wasn't there yet! She just wanted more tips on what to get what she knew was fate. But...
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to call on you!" she said feverently, her eyes searching the ground as if they would tell her what to say. It, of course, didn't give her anything to work with, and so she was forced to look up into the golden eyes. Fearful that they would be sharp with wrath, she was surprised to see that they were instead filled with humor. How...odd. She tilted her head to the side, just slightly, expectantly waiting for an explination.
"You obviously, dear, don't understand what you want." Tala chuckled. "You may have been asking for Love, but in your real heart you were aksing for me. That shows that you don't know what you want in your head." Oh, this was already entertaining. While confused females were the worst to work with, they also would be the most entertaining. The fact that this female didn't know what she wanted, outwardly, would make this at least worth the time it took away from herself. Tala didn't quite seem like it, but she liked her alone time. It didn't last long, not with so many mortals bothering her all the time.
"You should be asking yourself what it is that you want. And when you're doing that, say it out loud. I'm not a mind reader, y'know." She stretched, letting herself relax. This probably wouldn't take too long, but she wanted to make herself comfortable for the chance that it could get itneresting really quickly.
Nyuni lowered her head, almost scared now. What did the goddess mean? In her heart she didn't think that she could question her; she was almightly in the lioness' eyes. What should she do? Fear now clutched at her heart. Nyuni tried her hardest to bat it away, but she didn't think that she was going to do very well.
"So...you mean that my heart really wanted to talk to you, and not Love? But...all that I really want to know is how to get someone to love you. I don't....know..." She didn't know if Fertility really wanted to help with that. She was about...that....and Love was abougt everything else that is attached to that. She fidgeted as she waited for an answer, knowing that the goddess was probably enjoying this a little too much. It bothered her, but there was nothing she could do about it; she was not going to talk back to something that could probably really do some damage. Swallowing hard, she thought about the rumors that soem lioness' could be barren. She refused to tempt this goddess into giving her that.
Tala shook her head as she glanced at the red lioness. What a mess! Now, where to start. There was too much to really sort though, though. Well, it was obvious that she needed to start with what she knew best. And thaaaat was the only fun part in life, right?
"Well, really, my dear, you need to just go for it. That's the best way to get what you want. Seeing how you're acting, it's obvious in your society that it would be the secure way to make sure that he would never leave." Her tail curled. Oh, the drama! She thrived with that, so much so that it would probably repusle all but the most like minded. What was life without a little fun? It wasn't like she was screwing up her own life. Hmmhmmhmm... she chuckled to herself.
"N-no!" So much for not talking back to her.
There's...no way that she could do it. That meant...doing it! And and and...she wasn't ready for that! No! She wouldn't do that, she couldn't do that! Only...only when everything was for certain. When, not if. She was determined to make this work. It had to work, since everything was there. He just needed to recover more so he would be more confident with himself. That was all. Nyuni just wanted to see if she could get him to see this before it really all went down. Right? Yes!
She finally had it!
But she was still terribly embarassed by what the goddess was...suggesting. Really! That was a little too soon.
"Oh no, really?" the goddess said with a bit of a pout. "Trust me, dear, you will love yourself even more if you just let yourself lose. You love him, right? Then there's no way that it could be wrong! Love would even agree with me! I swear to you."
NOT.
There was no way that Love would agree. She would demand that they both had to be secure in their hearts before they took that step. Tch. There was no need to be so chaste. If you were going to do it eventually, then why wait? It didn't seem to make any sort of sense to her. It was the best part of anything. Hmph.
"You really should think about it."
Nyuni's head lowered. Should she? No. No, she shouldn't. She should do this the right way. If she did, then she would be able to tell everything, especially Jicho that it really was fate. If she didn't...then she would probably disappoint everyone. Especially herself. If she didn't convince Dios that they were made for one another...she didn't know what she would do. She wouldn't throw herself off of a cliff, but she would be tempted to. Nothing would fill the void. Nothing! Regardless if it was first love...it really would nearly kill her with the pain.
She wouldn't think about it.
"I'll...think about it," she said quietly. She avoided looking at the goddess for more surprise than anything. Did she really just say that she would think about it? It was horrifying.
Finally! It was always easy to tempt others to her side. Especially females. They knew what they wanted, they were always jsut to shy to let themselves loose. The males were always there waiting for them, so why make them wait any longer than you had to? Chuckling to herself, she nodded.
"You'll thank me. Call me again...if you feel like it. I'm certain you will do a wonderful job!"
With that comment, she let herself drift back to the god's haven. It would be peaceful again, at least for a little bit. She would hopefully be able to take care of herself, relax, and be left alone for a while. That would be a true heaven!
With the goddess' words ringing in her ears, apprehension mixed in Nyuni's heart. She couldn't. So why did it seem like her voice had been out of her control? Had it been something that the goddess had done, trying to get her to do what she didn't want to do? It was hard for Nyuni to blame her if it was so, because that was her job, right? Wasn't that how they grew stronger? Survival had to be most important to everyone...
Chewing on her lowe rlip, the red lioness wandered back home. She would flop onto a rock, ignoring everyone around her as she napped, trying to get her restless mind to stop going over everything. No! She would do this, and the right way. She just needed a few days to think to herself, that was all.
Really, that was all.
