Squad 7 Captain Bullene Katsurou
Name: Bullene "Bull" Katsurou (Bullene is actually pronounced like it has an accent on the last 'e' so the pronunciation is actually Bull-in-ee) Aliases/Nicknames: Bull (Preferred by friends) I would like to say that his nickname came from his strength, but it is just from his name. Appearance: Image Courtesy of Neo_Ninja
 VC-Version --> Bullene is 6' 7" with Black hair and an White-American skin tone. He looks like he is in his early 20's. His eyes are Mostly brown but a ring of red is visible by the pupils. Bullene wears a long, loose, white shirt which has the Squad 7 Symbol on the back. He wears the normal Shinigami pants.
Skills:Has an IQ of at least 170 and Incredible Foresight. He developed his own unnamed form of Jujitsu, which focuses in flexibility and prevention of use of weapons. Having once been a member of Squad 11, he mastered the fighting style of Kendo. His own reiatsu levels are very high, which cause him to use breathing exercises to suppress it.
Personality: Only seems to become friendly with those he has fought above VC level, Bullene actually doesn't have that many friends. He is probably one of the hardest Captains on his shinigami when it comes to attitude. When not disciplining, Bull is laid back (similar to Kyoraku). Though he seems like the most incompetent of the Captains due to his relaxed attitude, but he is actually one of the most dedicated and serious.
Special Accessories:
Bullene always carries a special bottle of Sake in his robes.
Unreleased Zanpakuto: Two twin zanpakuto. They have 18 inch handles with straight 3 1/2 foot blades. Bullene often uses only one sword while fighting with his Kendo style of swordplay.

 "Blazing Seraph": If not already gone, any form of clothing on Bullene’s upper body is burnt off as he sprouts golden wings of reiatsu. His sash turns to gold while a red & gold armor skirt stretches down from it. Burning winged anklets will form on Bull’s ankles. His gauntlets will have claw like extensions off of the ends of their fingers that can be retracted. When drawn, his Zanpakuto will burn with golden flames and have the properties of fire, lightning, and light. Bullene’s speed is then increased dramatically.

Bullene's self created style of Jujitsu, focusing on the redirection of strikes and manipulation of the joints. Baguazhang: Also known as the Eight Trigrams Palm, this style's attacks flow combining a multitude of strikes. Footwork is mostly circular and rooted. Reshuken: An ultimate fighting style. It uses the palms to redirect attacks. While keeping the same posture, the fighter attacks with his legs. This technique is almost undefeatable, if done correctly. Iron Wire Fist: Used in Shikai and Bankai, using the momentum from the extra weight on his body, Bullene can deliver incredibly powerful strikes to his opponents, while still having the ability to block heavy blows in the same manner. Western Boxing: The only non-Asian combat style that Bullene is familiar to. Due to its ineffectiveness on the field of battle alone, Bullene paired this style of fighting with his Shunko, making his fists faster than any other.
Abilities:
Soft Palm - When blocking Melee attacks, Bullene keeps his hand and arm muscles relaxed and absorbant. When an impact happens, Bullene transfers the force of the impact through his body to his other arm and uses it to make his own strike even harder. Shirahadori - Hardening his muscles and reiatsu, Bullene can use his bare hands or arm to block a blade. Aurablast - (Self Created) The user Focuses their reiatsu into an appendage like the fist or foot and releases an extention of reiatsu with the same density of the appendage. Bullene can perform this with his zanpakutos. Surge Strike - (Self Created) A MUCH stronger Aurablast, combined with Shunko, with a very short range of only 5-10 Feet. Only usable with Palm Strikes.

Judgment Chain: Made up of one of Bullene's three reiatsu natures, Fire, a chain is produced, which Bullene swings and whips people with. Penance Chain: Made up of one of Bullene's three reiatsu natures, Lightning, a chain is produced, which Bullene swings and whips people with. Talon of Light: A spike of Light reiatsu pierces the ground wherever the user wants. Celestus: Bullene's fist flies forward, exploding on contact. Eye of Judgement: One of the orbs on the back of Bullene's gauntlets begins to glow as he shows it to an opponent. Once it turns completely white, it shines a light upon its target. The orb then extracts spritual energy from the area and fires it at wherever the light is shining.
Bankai -
Spears: Three Different Classifications of spears may be made. These are only to be thrown. Judgement: Fire; Penance: Lightning; Radiance: Light. Seraphic Beam: The beam of fire shot from Bullene is of a nature that it cannot be put out. It rips through the air, burning everything within its radius. Light Graveyard: Spikes of light pierce the ground in a large scale area, hopefully impaling an opponent. Celestus: In bankai, Celestus's effect is doubled. The strength, the speed and the explosive powers are all doubled. Fatal to anybody who isn't using Shikai or above.
Background: Alive for only a short time on Earth, Bullene died as an infant due to SIDS.
On a cold winter night, a baby crawled its way through the dirt into the lowest Rukongai District. Having no parents, the baby was nameless. Picked up by an elderly couple, the baby was raised until it was 3 years old. In the middle of a rainy night, the elderly couple was found dead, the toddler drenched in their blood. Still living without a name, the toddler was thrown into the streets, living off of roadkill and the kindness of strangers. As he got older, the Toddler became more and more aware of his own strength. He tried to avoid fights because of the fact that they always ended badly for his opponents. The now child began to visit the nearby monk temple, where he learned to suppress his inner power through breathing exercises. The monks had named him Bullene because of his capabilities. He was kind, that is, until provoked. They also gave him a surname: Katsurou. Katsurou comes from the words "Son" and "Victory". Continuing his visits with the monks, Bullene had learned martial arts, eventually developing his own style of Jujitsu (which remains unnamed). Bullene was gradually getting more and more attention from the monks and that gradually grew into a form of public fame. Bullene was eventually recruited by the Shinigami Academy at the (spiritual) age of 18. In the academy, he obtained his zanpakuto, which was separated into two, symbolizing his personality: friendly but deadly. Once he graduated, he was put into Squad 11, under Captain Kuro Kihaku. He quickly obtained 11th Seat and gradually moved up to 6th seat. Due to his training regimen, Bullene needed to constantly release steam. One evening, he barged in on Unaharu Shinhouin, who he had trained with earlier that day, demanding a fight. Before he could wake her, Iu Hana, who is now Captain of Squad 4, interrupted him. A fight ensued. The two quickly became very close friends. Bullene spent time training in Squad 4, before Iu was Captain, and he learned basic healing Kidou. Due to his growing strength, attention to him was caught by Maximoru Bulfer, Captain of Squad 13, who oversaw his Bankai training. Soon after, Maximoru promoted him to Vice-Captain of Squad 13. His increasing fame soon caught the eye of the Captains of the Gotei 13. He was promoted to Squad 3 Captain shortly before all of the Captains were rearranged based on strengths. Bullene was transferred to Squad 7, due to his Martial Arts skill. After Iu Hana left Soul Society, Bullene went to try to find him with Fefnir, Captain of Squad 9. Once he found him in a Cafe, Iu led Fefnir away. Shortly after, Bullene confronted Iu. Fighting him in Karakura Forest, he was at a disadvantage. He couldn't use Bankai to fight Iu. Bullene was defeated. Iu blew him away with a double Cero attack. Supposedly dead, Bullene was actually in Hell, where he gradually fought his way out, returning to Soul Society and his Squad.

Cyrus Rhein
Age: 37 (Died at 21) Gender: Male Eye Color: Green Hair Color: Black Height: 5'11" Weight: 145 lbs.
Body Type: Fairly tall, Cyrus does not have to look up to many, which he regards as a symbolic progression in his life; that he is not looked down upon by very many at all is something that keeps his self-confidence flourishing, but not to the point of arrogance. Not very toned with muscles, but in very good physical shape as far as cardiovascular endurance and physical stamina are concerned. Sports wild black hair that spikes off in just about every direction, which also coincides in a way with his outlook on life and the personal direction he has taken with training and also with relation to others both on and off the field of combat.
Clothing: Cyrus shuns the normal attire of a shinigami consisting of the same old stale black and white robe; instead, he substitutes his own garments that suit him better, as well as fit more comfortably. His customized clothing consists of a pair of lightweight, smooth battle pants, which bag slightly at the ankle and get smaller in circumference near the waist. These, as well as a skintight, sleeveless white shirt, are covered by a full-body robe that is wrapped at the waist with a black cloth belt and that sports a loop for his zanpakuto. For shoe apparel he wears the standard tabi that all shinigami sport.
Personality: Cyrus is the kind of person that can, without an attempt or purposeful motion of his own, annoy others tremendously. His lackadaisical nature and carefree outlook spew indifference to the point where it is overbearing, and it tends to get on others' nerves. However, this is completely contradictory to how he acts in battle; it is only fitting that his zanpakuto spirit revolves around the theme of distorting reality and revealing truth, because when combat arises Cyrus shows his true colors, so to speak. Suddenly focused with a steadfast resolve, Cyrus either becomes completely determined with a subtle rage forcefully created to drive him forward, or becomes cold and calculative, judging and chilling; in this state, he lets his intelligence and natural talents, as well as reiatsu control, to perform tactical maneuvers and play the dance of indirect combat that he became so accustomed to performing on the battlefield. All in all, Cyrus is a puzzle that no single person has been able to figure out completely, and put all the pieces in their proper places.
Skills: Besides having a prodigious control of reiatsu, Cyrus also boasts a sizable reserve of energy that, coupled with the mastery of manipulation, can lead to substantial practices in combat. However, due to his near reliance on energy-based assault and defense, Cyrus has not put much time and effort into honing his muscular build or to heightening his speed. He does, however, cancel out this weakness with a solid handle of kidou and bakudo, as well as a strong background in weapon handling and manipulation. His tactical prowess is not lackluster, either. To make up for his lack of agility, he has also put a substantial effort into learning instantaneous-movement techniques, though he has not as of yet mastered any.
Abilities: From a superior control of reiatsu, Cyrus has indirectly developed these abilities: Kenchikisukyan (Sensor Scan): A passive trait that is always activated provided that Cyrus has the ample amount of reiatsu (which is actually nearly impossible for him not to have, unless near death). This innate sense "scans" every person (or any organic matter) within 50 yards and feeds back data subconsciously that clues Cyrus in to how much reiatsu the target contains, fluctuations in spirit patterns within the body of the target that can betray emotions that Cyrus can pick up on, and also which parts of the body are channeling reiatsu in excess (i.e. betraying when a foe will attack using energy-based moves, even when hidden). Raiki Sanzen (Radiance Aura): An ability that is highly effective for supporting others, this trait allows Cyrus to subconsciously emit waves of reiatsu every 30 seconds that cause allied shinigami to regenerate lost reiatsu at a crawling rate, and also very slightly lowers their consumption of reiatsu when using abilities. The effect is not substantial; it merely allows allied troops to use on average possibly 2-3 more kidou by the end of a battle. The drawback is that Cyrus himself cannot be affected by the ability, only others.
Amongst the two abilities listed, Cyrus boasts a high cardiovascular endurance, above-average intelligence, and a fast learning rate.
Powers: Hadou and Bakudo numbers 1-10.
Zanpakuto Unreleased Spirit Name: Genjitsuyuurei (Eidolon of Reality) Appearance: In its unreleased form, it retains the standard zanpakuto look; however, there is one difference. The hilt has an embedded orb in the pommel, and if gazed upon closely, the jewel appears to change colors within its depths, and the sense of an infinitely higher being becomes almost apparent. It is easy to become entranced by the stone's mystical spell.
 Shikai Form Release Command: Igameru, Genjitsuyuurei (Distort, Eidolon of Reality) Release Appearance: The formerly simplistic yet enthralling appeal of the unreleased blade is immediately replaced upon the utterance the shikai release phrase. What was before a graceful and delicate design transforms into something more definitive: a jagged longsword. But what is strange about the design is its blade: a deep scarlet hue that taints the surface of the crooked metal, an edge that zigzags back and forth before culminating in a pronged tip with a blood groove running slightly down the side in between the "v" of the two tips. It truly is a wicked looking blade, but that is ironic in itself due to the abilities of the weapon in its released, shikai form that go against the very idea of rigidity and jagged philosophy or substance matter.
To add to the mystery of the released blade, a strange blue light strand, somewhat thick in girth, cycles in and out of the blade at its own leisure. The strand can be manipulated using merely a push of reiatsu to attach to the opponent and absorb reiatsu through its surface; while the strand cannot be destroyed, it can be somewhat easily removed and Cyrus must remain close to use it. It's true purpose, however, is to change the shape of the weapon itself; by covering the surface of the sword, it can transform the zanpakuto into a spear or an axe (but nothing else). In addition, there are 6 floating bright blue spheres that circle Cyrus' body while in shikai release, which serve no purpose... yet.
Release Abilities: The initial release that is the shikai of Cyrus' zanpakuto lays down the basic theme of the spirit within the blade with abilities that pose a substantial threat to foes who depend on reiatsu-based attacks such as kidou and the like with the introduction of the weapon's primary ability: reiatsu displacement and distortion. Against a foe of low seating or tactical prowess, this ability can wreak massive havoc; for the higher ranks, however, the magnitude of the shikai's abilities is quite often not enough to break a dent in the reiatsu of the elite opponent, and usually requires the upgrade to bankai.
But to introduce the concept of reiatsu control by displacement and distortion, each topic must be addressed first. The preceding words are defined as follows:
Displacement -- The displacing in space of one mass by another. Distortion -- A twisting out of normal shape or form.
Now, the essence of Genjitsuyuurei, in its shikai form, is the basic implementation of those three processes/applications by refined spirit energy that has been transformed by the pure essence of the zanpakuto's spirit in order to manipulate any manifested spirit energy that an opponent, or even Cyrus himself channels through his body. There are three ways that the zanpakuto spirit can perform:
~~~~~1. Displacement. Taking any manifested spirit energy and redirecting it, causing it to be released in a completely different way, such as making a cero come out of an opponent's foot instead of his or her palm, rendering the attack both useless and taking a small chunk out of the opponent's reiatsu reserve. This can also be used defensively; by displacing internal reiatsu, Cyrus can effectively "spread" an offensive attack and release it from his entire body rather than just a single spot, which is effective against groups of enemies or an opponent who fights at close range. Likewise, it can also be utilized in a shielding manner by crowding reiatsu just above the skin level where an incoming attack would hit. While not very effective against assaults from weaponry, it can help reduce damage, and also can almost completely dissipate many simple kidou and energy attacks.
The displacement tactic can render what was intended to be a catastrophic assault by an opponent into a severely weakened mess, just through a simple process of pushing the reiatsu being used into other ends and dispersing the spirit energy into a weaker state. As a result, either the attack will be weakened enough to nullify using defensive displacement, or it will be redirected enough for a simple evasion or by a strategic followup by another ability.
There are three drawbacks to the substantial ability that displacement has to render almost any kidou offense useless, however. The first lies in "marking" the target. In order to be able to actually displace and manipulate an opponent's manifested reiatsu, first Cyrus must make initial contact with the foe. Any contact is enough; a simple touch of the finger to a shoulder tackle, anything. Another option is to use the blue light strand coming from the blade to attach to the opponent. As soon as he hits, Cyrus expels a customized frequency that allows the shikai-released Genjitsuyuurei to pinpoint the reiatsu frequency of the opponent and adapt, thus giving a direct link to the target as he or she manifests and brings forward the reiatsu. The bright side is that once that connection has been established, it never fades; if the opponent lives and then comes back to fight Cyrus at a later point, the connection will still be intact and thus Cyrus will have an early advantage, as the opponent will likely expect him to have to make contact first.
The second handicap lies in the term used often in the past few explanations: "manifested reiatsu." What that phrase is describing is reiatsu that is in use, and thus brought forward into circulation by the opponent and thereby accessible to the abilities of Cyrus' released zanpakuto. While it is not necessarily a major drawback, it still does limit in a small way the operation of the zanpakuto's abilities, as the only reiatsu that can be displaced or distorted is that which is about to be released. As such, the reaction time of Cyrus must be swift or the attack will be released in full force, leaving him to try to evade or use defensive displacement to somewhat nullify the attack. However, defensive displacement alone cannot fully nullify an energy-based assault; on average, it can dissipate 70-80% of the full force, leaving a small but still harmful bite for Cyrus to hurt through.
The third and final notable drawback is the substantial reiatsu burn that displacement has on Cyrus as he utilizes his zanpakuto's abilities. Each and every second that displacement is being used, reiatsu is sucked from Cyrus' body, and though the rate of transfer is small it can still have an effect in the long run. At the same time, while Cyrus loses a small amount of reiatsu with each use, if the displacement is offensive any reiatsu used is essentially given to the opponent used on. Basically, on average, any displaced attack that the opponent uses and fails will gain about 10% of the used reiatsu back because of the reiatsu Cyrus uses to displace is absorbed into the opponent's body. It is not a huge loss by Cyrus, nor a huge gain by the foe; the foe may be able to cast 1, MAYBE 2 more energy-based abilities by the end of the battle using the transferred reiatsu, but no more than that, and the attacks would not be altogether entirely destructive, and would not give an edge over Cyrus. ((The part about the transfer of reiatsu from one person to another using displacement is worded in a confusing way, I know. If you have questions, feel free to ask, I'm honestly ranting here and have had to pause myself to figure out what I was saying.))
~~~~~2. Distortion. The act of taking manifested spiritual energy of the opponent and manipulating it to spread in one area, diminish in another, or any combination Cyrus sees fit. For example, he can take the manifested reiatsu of an opponent about to shoot off a cero and condense it into separate sections, so that when the blast is fired it shoots off in several smaller beams instead of one larger one, making it much easier to avoid. The opposite is also viable: for opponents who use spread-fire energy attacks in bursts, Cyrus can first combine and "distill" (spread the attack so that it is less condensed and thus less damaging), then as the attack is released use defensive displacement to nullify the blast. This tactic can make fighting opponents who like to display grandiose acts of dominance in the form of energy attacks bow before Cyrus when he renders them useless with distortion.
The tactic is not just limited to spreading or condensing attacks, however; it serves many other purposes. For example, when acting as a support for other shinigami or allies, Cyrus can use distortion to manipulate ally attacks in a favorable manner or in a way that they would not have thought; when a healer is present and working, Cyrus can distort the healing spiritual energy to direct and in some cases rapidly speed the process of healing (and since Cyrus has the passive "Sensor Scan" ability, he can detect flaws in consciousness or physical being in ways many shinigami cannot); and even when using a shielding or binding kidou, Cyrus can distort the reiatsu to cause the shield or binding technique to strengthen in some areas and weaken in others according to what the situation necessitates.
Using Distortion has primarily the same drawbacks as Displacement. Cyrus must first establish the connection to the target, can only Distort reiatsu that has been manifested and about to be used, and is susceptible to a heavy spirit energy burn. However, with Distortion, there is no transfer of reiatsu, simply because the only reiatsu needed is the target's. Distortion uses the reiatsu already there and changes or manipulates, rather than pushing reiatsu into the target and then manipulating to force the reiatsu elsewhere.
There is, sadly, another drawback that is conjoined between Displacement and Distortion: neither can be used at the same time as the other. Simply put, Cyrus cannot both Displace and Distort an opponent's reiatsu at the same time; the same goes for his own reiatsu as well. The shikai release of Genjitsuyuurei is not yet capable of heavy tasks such as multiple-ability chains. That said, there will be times where Cyrus faces the tough decision and the possible consequences of choosing one ability over the other.
Bankai Form Release Command: "The seams of space and time are banished; perception of truth diminishes in the face of a greater force... churn now the waters of illusion, raise forth the phantasm of creation! Usumohouben. Ashimireito, Genjitsuyuurei (The end justifies the means. Assimilate, Eidolon of Reality)." Release Appearance: The garments and look Cyrus had established before uttering the eloquent release command are tossed aside for a new form. The battle suit armor design replaces all clothing that covered the arms with a sturdy, resistant material that can stand up to the magnitude of the abilities Cyrus now has at his disposal. A matching breastplate and shoulders as well as a helmet are also donned, with flowing robe-like pieces swirling around. The legs are covered only by a more sturdy cloth-like material, as they are not utilized in distortion or displacement unless being covered by defensive displacement.
The zanpakuto is now completely gone, vanished in order to give rise to a weapon of more catastrophic capabilities: the 6 orbs from the shikai state, combined with the blue energy strand and the blade itself, merged using passive distortion to produce 12, jagged, blade-like floating weapons, all tainted an eerie, ghostly green. Cyrus needs only to will the blades to move, and with the connection established between himself and the zanpakuto each one can be manipulated using displacement AND distortion, at the same time, and as such a nearly endless amount of possibilities for attacks can be developed, such as forming a massive spearing arm drill that combines several of the blades while leaving others in a wing formation for defense.
Release Abilities: With such an awe-inspiring appearance, the bankai release state of Genjitsuyuurei has to have an arsenal of deadly abilities to back up its looks. With the theme only just introduced by the shikai form of the zanpakuto, the bankai release takes the already incorporated abilities to their deadliest level, and then introduces four new abilities to further add to the destructive capabilities of Displacement and Distortion: Deprivation, Isolation, Assimilation, and Termination.
To first make sure that there is an understanding, each of the preceding terms has been defined as follows:
Deprivation -- The absence, loss, or withholding of something needed. Isolation -- Setting something apart from others. Assimilation -- The process of absorption into the body. Termination -- The act of ending something.
With that said, the spirit of Genjitsuyuurei while in bankai release can utilize its spirit essence in new forms. The new, extremely versatile and deadly abilities of the zanpakuto are as follows:
~~~~~1. Deprivation. When an opponent is still managing to be a thorn in Cyrus' side using very skilled and/or tactical kidou maneuvers, sometimes Cyrus is left with no choice but to somehow cut off his opponent's ability to use those techniques or face certain defeat himself. That is where the ability Deprivation comes in. By sacrificing the ability to use Displacement and Distortion until the opponent is terminated or Cyrus secedes from the bankai release, Cyrus can take hold of the opponent's reiatsu frequency, immediately and effectively seizing it and cutting it short. When an opponent is affected by Deprivation, the ability to access reiatsu for use is completely halted; the foe is unable to utilize kidou, bakudo, hadou, cero, bala, etc., or even perform techniques such as shunpo or sonido. With Deprivation active, Cyrus can finally rid himself completely of all energy-based attacks from the foe and focus on utilizing his own, as well as his new, bolstered weapon arsenal.
There are major drawbacks in using Deprivation on the opponent. The first, and possibly the most daring and hindering, is the fact that while Deprivation does indeed cut off the opponent's ability to use any technique that requires reiatsu access, it does NOT hinder the foe's ability to use any technique that is based off of his or her zanpakuto's released forms, even if it is an energy-based attack. So if the foe has a zanpakuto that can utilize a myriad of energy attacks, Deprivation is rendered useless and could cripple Cyrus rather than aide him.
On top of that huge risk, Deprivation follows the same principle as Displacement and Distortion: Cyrus must have established a connection between Genjitsuyuurei and the opponent. But, contrary to the two abilities in shikai mode, Deprivation does not drain reiatsu; it only requires spirit energy for the initial cut, and from then on all reiatsu can be devoted to other uses. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other ability, but at the same time, there would be no point, and it renders Displacement and Distortion unusable anyway so there would be no way to ability-chain.
~~~~~2. Isolation. Using pure untainted force to effectively "cut off" a part of an opponent's body, allowing Cyrus to quickly take advantage of it. This ability sacrifices the capability of Cyrus to use both Deprivation and Assimilation until the target is eliminated or Cyrus exits the bankai release. However, it opens up a much more useful option, provided that he can pull it off right. Simply enough, all Cyrus must do to activate this ability is wound one of the opponent's limbs; as long as merely one blade draws blood from the target, it is enough to allow the technique to work. As soon as Cyrus lands a hit, Deprivation immediately takes effect (provided Cyrus actually wants it to) and the affected body part is "claimed" by Cyrus. Once a body part is "claimed," it's reiatsu frequency mimics Cyrus', allowing him to use both the offensice and defensive forms of Displacement and Distortion on that limb, which can lead to some powerful follow-up techniques by Cyrus and can cripple the opponent's defense.
Isolation grants Cyrus the power to use the claimed body part as if it were one of his own, which can lead to some very interesting maneuvering. The body part still moves and operates normally at the will of the affected target, but Cyrus can throw the foe of balance when the combat continues; for example, by using Displacement to suck away the reiatsu of an opponent's offensive attack, allowing Cyrus to move in for a counterattack. Conversely, he can also use Distortion to "distill" a shield so that an opponent takes the brunt of an attack head on. The possibilities are vast and up to Cyrus to be creative enough to find new uses for on the battlefield.
If all four limbs are claimed, however, it has the same effect as Deprivation. The flow of reiatsu in the opponent's body is effectively cut off, and since he "took the long way" so to speak, Cyrus does not forfeit the ability to use Displacement or Distortion. It also allows use of the final and deadliest ability in Cyrus' arsenal: Termination.
Isolation is one of the only abilities arising from Cyrus' zanpakuto that does not have heavy drawbacks. This is quite possibly because of the fact that Cyrus must hit each body part and then to activate must forfeit the use of Deprivation and Assimilation, which is really the only heavy drawback. The reiatsu burn is minimal, though to continue to claim a body part Cyrus must keep a trickling flow so that the connection is not severed, but after this move has been put into effect, Cyrus can move on with ease and possibly even move in to claim another body part.
~~~~~3. Assimilation. The act of absorbing manifested reiatsu from the opponent into the body, claiming it for use. This ability allows Cyrus to raise his reiatsu store by a fair amount, which can make a difference in the long run. However, in order to absorb the spirit energy, Cyrus must be hit by the attack and allow the opponent to land a hit with it, and as such this move has to be used carefully; Cyrus will likely opt to take a weak bala or cero rather than trying to live through a grand rey cero enough to absorb its power.
The amount gained by Assimilation is a respectable but not disproportionate amount; on average, 30-50% max can be absorbed, though if Cyrus is seriously injured by the attack or it is barely damaging the rate can drop or rise, accordingly. This ability can be used in one of two ways: either by using the initial method described to absorb a direct attack and claim reiatsu, or in the case of a situation where Cyrus has allies nearby, and he can merely place a hand on their body, establish a connection, and (if they agree to let Cyrus go through with it) use reverse displacement (from the opponent to Cyrus rather than the normal way) to transfer spirit energy back into his own body for use. This method, however, provides even less than taking an attack head on, so strategical maneuvering and tactical skill is required for Cyrus to keep going.
The drawbacks of this attack arguably outweigh the perks, which means that this ability is possibly not worth the requirements it necessitates in order to perform. Having to be directly damaged by an energy attack to absorb some of its essence is extremely risky, and unless Cyrus is still in nearly top physical form at this stage of the battle it could spell the end for him, indirectly. The technique itself requires the initial connection, and does not burn reiatsu at all, which is a small perk but every little bit can help Cyrus succeed.
~~~~~4. Termination. The finale in Cyrus' arsenal that is only accessible when all four of the target's limbs have succumbed to isolation.

Name: Koumei Jan (Kou-may Jahn) Age: Lost track (400-450); appears to be in his late teens or early 20's. Aliases/Nicknames: Jan likes to call himself "Captain Factory," "Master of Energy," and occasionally, "Master of Everything," but since he says them as a joke, no one really calls him these. Ranks Held: Former Squad 3 Vice Captain, Former Squad 3 De-Facto Captain, Former Temporary Resident of Squad 4, Former Vice-Captain of Squad 8 Physical Description: A pretty-looking picture of Jan by Kenshin456! ((The Star headband is for a Naruto RP, but everything else is the same!)) Chibi Jan by Kenshin456!Jan is somewhat short and light, standing at 5 feet and 7 inches tall and weighing only about 130 pounds. He wears a gray gi top with the first symbol of the Hollyhock flower (?), a favorite of his late in life, in green over his left “pec.” His bottoms are the typical black hakama pants of the Shinigami. On his feet, he wears black socks and sandals. He has medium wavy and unruly black hair that is parted above his right eye and moves to either side. ((The character ? is the same as the one used for the Kingdom of Shu, depicted in the Dynasty Warriors series. In the game's story, as in history, this kingdom was seen to be fighting for justice and virtue, like Jan.)) Zanpakuto: Jan keeps his two sides separate with his regular Zanpakuto, sealed as a katana, and his Arrancar abilities sealed in the form of a wakisashi. Being an Arrancar, he does not have a mask when using those abilities, but has a hole in his right hand. The first is his “true” Zanpakuto, Fujiko (or Fujiko-chan). As a spirit, she appears to be around 13 years old and wears a plain white dress with black shorts underneath. She acts childish to complement Jan's immaturity and love of all things cute. While she may seem to be immature herself, her mature side appears to back up Jan during combat. She also has the tendency to get into arguments with Mito over nothing. Fujiko likes piggyback rides, pastries, and flowers. She dislikes negativity, bleak people, and scary animals. Her ability in its purest form is the acceleration of subatomic particles. Jan’s second Zanpakuto is Mito (Spanish for “myth”). Mito appears to be in his early 20s, is tall-ish, muscular, and sports some facial hair, but otherwise looks like Jan. However, he chooses to dress in green armor (complete with helmet, made with his mask leftovers, and green horsetail topper) rather than Jan's clothing or the white-themed "uniform" for "Aizen's Army." The armor also includes a long, green cape, much like Jan's black one. His hollow hole is in his right hand, as is displayed by Jan when using his powers. His ability can be simplified to the concentration of subatomic particles. Mito was originally Jan’s Arrancar self, but when he was purified by Isshinigami, he was effectively sealed in the deepest parts of Jan’s mind. Like with Ichigo‘s hollow self, Mito was able to make his presence known as Jan’s strength increased. However, he only gave Jan glimpses of the worst memories he had sealed with him. When Jan finally confronted him, the two fought to the death with Jan as the victor and gave him back the rest of his memories, both good and bad. Mito still exists since, being a part of Jan’s mind, he cannot be truly killed without Jan’s death as well. He helps Jan voluntarily in combat, adhering to his own code of honor. ((Fujiko’s original model in terms of appearance and personality is Marona from Phantom Brave. Several of Jan’s attacks are tributes to abilities from Phantom Brave, in either name or execution. Mito's original model is the custom character for Jan in Dynasty Warriors 5 XL. As such, there aren't any existing pictures of him... v_v)) Fujiko’s Sealed Form: Jan’s sealed Zanpakuto takes the form of a typical katana, but the handguard is in the shape of a five-petaled flower (like Kusajishi Yachiru’s). Even sheathed at his side, the power Jan can draw from her is enough to allow him to use strong fire-and-lightning-based Kido attacks. Fujiko’s Shikai Form: (Release Command: Yuusha (Courage)) When Jan activates his initial release, Fujiko extends into a black naginata. The pole is about 6 feet long and the curved blade is 2.5 feet long. The naginata keeps the flower handguard from the original katana form and has a large brass ball on the opposite end as a blunt weapon and counterweight. While straining himself in this form, Jan can combine his energies and use light-based attacks in conjunction with physical combat. Fujiko’s Bankai Form: When using his final release, Jan gains a set of white light wings from the huge release in spiritual energy (Not physical wings; think of Ishida's wing during the Quincy Final Form). Fujiko extends yet again into an even larger zanbato with a 10 foot long handle and a 20 foot long blade (much like the one used by Sagara Sanosuke in Rurouni Kenshin in design). In this form, Jan and Fujiko can maximize their output together for their ultimate techniques. Their final technique is a combination of their spiritual energy, splitting the huge blade into eight parts (four on each side, splitting down the middle), sending each piece several miles away, and connecting them with pure light. This creates the Shining Crusher, Jan’s ultimate attack. When something touches the head of this pure light hammer, it is completely dissolved into light particles, making for a devastating blow when Jan smashes it into the ground and on unfortunate opponents. ((The Shining Crusher attack is based off of the Goldion Crusher attack from the classic, over-the-top, giant mecha show Gao Gai Gar: King of Braves. A video of the original attack in the OVA can be found here (CAUTION! HEAVY FANSERVICE! The attack itself is about 2:30 to 3:13 into the video, and repeated at about 4:57), as well as a version from the game Super Robot Taisen Alpha 3 (this version, despite being depicted in “chibi“ form, allows a greater appreciation of the size and power of the attack). Several of Jan’s other moves are tributes to attacks in Gao Gai Gar, in either name or execution, including the release command, “Yuusha!”)) Mito’s Sealed Form: Jan has chosen to seal his Arrancar self in the same wakisashi Mito uses in combat. It is plain and simple, with a regular rectangle handguard and no truly defining features. Due to the teamwork Jan has fostered with his spirits, he can use some of Mito’s regular Arrancar abilities (such as Sonído, Bala, Cero, etc.) without unsheathing it. However, Mito’s favored attack is to use his own concentrated Spirit Energy to slice through his opponents at a distance, making sure those who see his sword as a worthless short knife regret it. ((Mito’s ability can be seen as a compliment to the physical extensions of Ichimaru Gin’s Shinso.)) Mito’s Resurrección: (Release Command: La Verdad (The Truth)) When Mito’s Zanpakuto is released, the sword changes his normal green armor into a jet-black armored suit (resembling a Gundam-esqe robot) and further concentrates his spiritual energy. This allows him to move at a speed close to that of light, and his physical attacks are performed with two armblades that can extend, curve, and even combine as he needs them to, as well as with an armored tail for piercing. When using more of his spiritual energy, he can fire it in concentrated beams of light. His ultimate attack may seem to be a simple beam, but the extreme concentration of energy was almost enough to pierce through Jan and Fujiko’s Shining Crusher. ((Mito’s black armor is a direct contrast to the white-ness of Aizen’s Arrancar. The design and attacks of the suit itself are heavily based upon those of Justice from the Guilty Gear fighting game series.)) Special Accessories: Jan still wears his old cape, straw shade hat, and glasses (which he takes off to fight). As of late, he's also been carrying around a clipboard which he updates with information on the Shinigami he has met. Skills: As a former strategist in life, Jan is keen in all things intellectual, including diplomacy, and military strategy. He has also been around long enough to know much in the ways of both Kido and swordsmanship, creatively combining the two in combat. Personality: Jan is generally nice and empathetic to those he meets, regardless of rank, but he has a low tolerance for those that act like “all that.“ He also has a strong sense of justice, and has little patience for those whom he thinks violate it. His likes are a good spar, peace, cute things, eating, and sleeping. His dislikes are pointless fighting, yelling, and arrogance. Biography/History: While in life, Jan had been a famous politician and military strategist. He was not content with standing on the sidelines or behind his troops in battle, and would often help his troops directly on the battlefield. Jan had hoped to unify the Japanese feudal kingdoms, but he died seeing his ambitions of a land united unfulfilled. Becoming a Hollow, he terrorized those who had opposed him in life, both politically and militarily. He devoured so many souls that he eventually became an Arrancar, but was slain by a mysterious Shinigami Captain (Who just happened to be the father of a substitute we know today). Eventually, his soul made its way to Soul Society, where the only memory Jan had left was his name, and some of his weapons he had used in life: A naginata on his back, a pair of swords in his belt, and 48 kunai knives in his cape. Finding out about the Shinigami, Jan's old nature of working for progress pushed him to eagerly work his way through the academy and squad ranks. While fighting for a seat in Squad 3, he used the “Ki Energy” he had focused in life, but surprisingly saw it manifesting itself in a visible form within his weapons. In essence, he had “forced” his own sword into false states of Shikai and Bankai. However, after he discovered the katana he had been using was in fact the manifestation of his true Zanpakuto, he apologized to her spirit and discarded his own old weapons. Jan went on to secure himself a high seat within the squad, where he continued to train. After attaining his Bankai with his captain and reaching the level of Vice-Captain in Squad 3, his “inner self” began reaching out to him. He began having horrible nightmares of battles he had fought, people he had killed, or even seen killed, and the guilt of all these horrible atrocities he had not even known about began to consume him. It was not long before his contemporaries began to question him, and Jan's control was visibly slipping. Plagued by migraines, Jan had to abandon his post and eventually left Soul Society, feeling too weak to stand up to his condition. Jan had not had time to find out about whoever had replaced him as he found a powerful Vizard who had been one of his favorite pupils before leaving. Jan used his friend’s teachings to find and defeat the true nature of his soul, and was able to unlock his true potential. After becoming the only Vizard other than Ichigo, Jan diligently sought a replacement for his captain, who turned traitor with the captains of Squads 5 and 9. After training Wind Angel, he went on to travel aimlessly through the Soul Society, training new recruits and standing by to help fight the eminent war against Aizen’s army. Recently, he left Soul Society to study the nature of his energy and train in his most powerful forms, banishing himself to his compuond in Hueco Mundo. Upon his return, he was surprised to see many of his former friends with high ranks, and was even more pleased to reencounter Fiey, the woman he had trained and had been trained by long ago. Taking up a temporary residence in Squad 4 to pass on some special techniques for a short time, he then transferred to Squad 8 at the request of his student Iu after a breif absense in the Human World studying the human anatomy. However, this assignment lasted for only a day before he wasbanished to theHuman World. Anything Else: Jan's weakness for cute things is manifested in his like of cats, kids, and decorative pastries. While he can cook, he cannot bake, and sneaks around the human world to obtain new pastries when he has a chance. Jan also dedicates a lot of time to the study of physics and anatomy, trying to keep up with with the newest developments made in the world of the living. As a final note, Jan is the sort of strategic figher that would rather win a long, drawn-out battle by a hair than crush his enemies through sheer force. This is why he makes an excellent trainer, and Jan is generally safe to challenge since he keeps his power in check so easily.  Age: Looks maybe 17, grew up in soul society so its hard to judge, died at age 4... Description: Michiko is petite in stature, only 5”3 and slender. Her eyes are an aqua blue, with a darker edge around the cornea. Her hair is crimson red with natural copper highlights, falls to about 3.5 inches passed her shoulders and has overgrown bangs that part to frame her face. On her face below her left eye there is a slash scar from a fight she got caught up in when she was little. Michiko wears her shinigami uniform without the sleeves due to her habit of tearing them in combat, and ties it at the middle with a bow at her back, because she thinks its cuter that way. She is usually wears her lucky sky blue scarf around her neck as well, and it is long enough to hang to her knees when wrapped around twice, and this may also be why she takes it off in most fights. On her right upper arm she has two tight bracelets, one a tan colour, the other thinner and black. She wears a Captain's haori without sleeves as well, and the design on its trim resemble larger black diamond shapes. Lately she has also been wearing fingerless gloves that are black and go to her elbow.

Zanpakto: Takahishou (Hawk’s Flight) When unreleased she carries a pair of twin katanas with royal blue and gold hilts, and a gold guard that’s shaped as a full circle. Both a long and curved, and have navy blue sheaths that hang at her waist.

Zanpaktou's Spirit:

-released by calling “Swoop Takahishou!” The two blades of the katana are a gold colour, and have a jagged edge that resembles wings of feathers, each having four spike points. The guard is larger than when unreleased, and the hilts have blue and gold feather plumage strung and fastened to their ends.
Attacks created by Michiko based on her zanpaktou's ability:
~Swipe Spin When slashing she spins both arms like spokes on a wheel clockwise or counter clockwise. Rotation is accelerated doubly the speed of her normal slash. If repeated 3 times or more its almost impossible to stop unless equal force resists, or reiatsu is risen to force a brake. Creates a tornado effect above and around, & can suck in or blow out depending on the direction. Reflects weaker kidous. ~Talons When stabbing at an opponent, the tips of Takahisou sharpen as blood is drawn. The effect comes from the body heat of the opponent. ~Flight A large downward thrust with both blades, one on either side sends Michiko into the air, & a thrust upwards with both sends her downwards. Flight allows her to dive, swoop, rise & fall by alterations in how the blades are held, & the ribbon on the hilt of one can be used to spin the blade for a propeller/helicopter effect.

Bankai: Osoikakaru Takatsume (Swooping Hawk's Talons) ACHIEVED
Michiko's bankai consists shattered and scattered jagged golden blade pieces much like the edges of her shikai on blue arm and leg bands as well as a razor sharp bladed pair of gold wings that attach outwards from the tops of the arm bands. To get a better visual idea please view the drawing below.
Her bankai is more for practical usage than special ability. It allows her use her flight aspect while having her hands free to fight. Combined with her hand to hand fighting skills this form can be highly damaging and the wings provide a speed boost and help keep her balance much easier. The free hands also allow much easier ability to do quick kidous in battle.
The blades on the lower legs and forearms can be shot off with a swing of the part and forceful reiatsu, and reform in about 5 seconds on the same position. They do not run out, but the pieces thrown off do eventually dissappear a good 5 minutes later, so these are not permanent.

Special Accessories: Occasionally Michiko likes to use a length of blue ribbon she keeps tucked away in her uniform. She may use it to tie back her hair, secure a connection to a team mate or trap a foe trying to escape.
Skills: Michiko is apt in most Kidou arts, but while she has precision and accuracy in their use she lacks the power behind them, so even direct hits aren’t as strong as some cast by other shinigami. She also is trained in Hakuda, hand to hand combat, and has been told repeatedly that she has skill in that area, able to dodge and counterattack with a fist or open hand with reflexive reactions.

Waste Flame (廃炎, haien) — Incinerates a target completely; Kaname Tōsen uses it to burn Grimmjow Jaggerjack's severed arm.

~ 1. Restrain (塞, sai)— Locks a target's arms in place behind their back. ~ 4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa) — An energy rope entangles a target's arms. ~ 9.  Personality: Michiko is shy and quiet when you first meet her. She gets nervous about stupid little things but is fine with big problems. She relies on luck a lot, which is seen I her superstitious habits. Once you get to know her she can pretty chatty, and tends to ramble on and on. Other than that she is easily embarrassed and quite gullible. Yet she can hide emotions when necessary.
History: Tsukino Michiko grew up in the Rukon District in a makeshift family of other people in the area. When she was really little she was the only one who ever got hungry, and soon found out it was because of her spirit pressure. As she grew older she got into a bunch of street fights in nearby districts, but in one when she was around ten a hollow showed up loose from the woods. She avoided him most, since a lot of her friends were killed and she escaped with a mere scar on her face and sprained ankle. It was then she decided she wanted to be a shinigami.
When she was older she went to the academy, and passed with above average in Kidou and Hakuda, but lower scores in field training missions. She went to the Sereitei and trained with Yamoto, a member of the 11th squad, to get her zanpaktou and her shikai. Soon after she joined up with the 7th squad.
Quirks: Michiko can be really clumsy at times, luckily not during fights much though. Also she gets splitting head aches and dozes off into trances now and again, the reason is still unknown.
Michiko's Mod Soul
Name: Mel Power: Super powerful hearing, in other words she can hear things being said up to a kilometre away if she stops to listen for it. Unfortunately this makes really loud noises near to unbearable, so she likes to stay far away from the action. Personality: Mel is blunt, rude and sarcastic every chance she has to show it. A major pessimist she can always point out flaws or downsides to a plan even when you really don't want to hear them. She gets splitting headaches and doesn't hesitate to vent on someone nearby.
