Like before the exploritive male just couldn't keep his hooves settled in one spot. He'd been back to wandering again trying to ease his boredom- but nothing seamed to work for the brown male. Nobody was exciting enough for his tastes. They were so refined. Not like him- if he saw mudd he'd roll in it. If he saw a branch that needed brakeing. He would clearly tend to it. Everything was just a big game to Avery. Even something as boring as eatting grass could be turned into a game. Though this drove alot of people away from him. He was annoying, brass, and most of all liked to prank everyone to get his kicks. Sure he wasn't mean spirited. And of course he didn't do it on purpose...but alot of times he just came off as a self centered p***k.

And this day was none different. He held his head high with a bounce in his step. Something that told others to clearly 'watch out' because he was 'comming threw'. He nickered silently and shook his mane. Now all he needed was somebody he could cause trouble with.

Irena looked down at her hooves as she slowly trudged along, she was growing increasingly tired due to lack of sleep and her fried nerves weren't making it any better. She missed the old Cerynei lands, or at least what she could remember of them, there was some sort of security in that place that she couldn't explain. She gazed about worriedly listening for the sound of anyone nearby, her eyes darted from tree to tree searching for any predators. She was a flighty doe to say the least, but she hadn't always been that way, at least she didn't think she had. It was the mystery of her missing memory that kept her wondering, all she remembered was the horror of waking up surrounded by flames with her head pounding.

She froze as her eyes caught sight of movement, "please... please don't let it be anyone dangerous." She squeezed her eyes shut tight as she waited, listening for the footsteps that could possibly mean her doom. If it came to it she would fight, though fleeing seemed to come easier as of late to her despite her scarred legs, which she could not explain how they had come to be in such shape.

He went forward step by step. So engulfed in his own mind and playfulness that he was horribly unaware that he was even beginning to walk into where somebody else was standing. Though it's not like it would have kept him away even if he did happen to get teed off about it. Expecially knowing that the other he was walking into wasn't even a Soq- but some sort of weird mutated deerthing. Cerynei they called themselves.

Again he took another bound forward making sure to break every brance and bramble that stuck out at him. With another CRACK his attention was finally drawn to the flighty mare that stood infront of him. Trying to kick away the dead branch that had seamed to wrap itself around his legs and his hoof he smiled at her. With all the look of mischief and trouble that he could have possibly mustered. One look over her and his heart gave a jump. But as he was about to say something about it his eyes seamed to stop over her rear towards what he figured was 'lack of a tail'.

"Uh...You Okie?" He seamed to stammer out still transfixed on her backend.

Irena frowned, she could hear the loud cracking branches growing louder as whoever it was grew nearer and she was paralyzed with fear. Attempting to calm herself she tried to think of happier things, like her old home, but that just brought back memories of the flames. With each crack she tried to resist the urge to wince, how could someone have such disregard for nature like that? They must truly be a menacing monster to do such a thing.

She peeked open an eye as the cracking stopped and stumbled backwards surprised that there was a stallion standing in front of her. Her eyes darted towards his leg as she caught sight of the branch, barely managing to keep her balance. "S-sorry!" she squeaked, her eyes wide as she looked at him feeling that it was her fault that the branch was wrapped around his leg.

When he spoke she looked at him surprised, shouldn't she be the one asking that? "I... I'm ok..." she furrowed her brow and followed his eyes wondering what he was looking at. It was something behind her, but she didn't know what and her tail wiggled slightly as she turned to look.

Such a strange mare the other was. She seamed absolutly terrified with him. Now he couldn't have that. He appreciated fun as much as the next person- but he never went out of his way to strike fear into the hearts of others, expecially cute females. Avery was a nice stallion after all- even if he was abit of a p***k. He seamed to draw back ever so slighty swishing his own tail nervously his eyes still caught up on hers. It seamed to swish independently and seamed to be indefinatly attached- like a skinwalkers tail. He cocked his head at her looking back at her face. Surely she wasn't a skinwalker? She seamed to nice and nervous.

"I'm sorry if I startled you-..." He stopped not knowing her name. "I was uh...careless?" He tried to smile again warmly but it came out the same way as the first. With a hint of trouble and a light coat of mischief.

Irena watched him, inwardly scolding herself, she figured that he must not have seen her so when he noticed he got caught in the branch. She felt terrible and frowned as she looked at him, her tail slowly flicking from side to side. She was curious, he seemed to be analyzing her, or something behind her? She turned and glanced again but could see no one else.

"S-startled me? ... oh no don't... don't be sorry... I'm easily startled." She murmured quietly and stared down at her hooves. "Careless?" she tilted her head to the side and a small smile appeared on her face. "Don't worry... it was my fault."

He looked at her for a few seconds more not being able to get a clear take on her. "Actully I was the careless one. I really shouldn't have been breaking all those branches. It wasn't very considerate of me- expecially had I known there were other Soquili around." He tryed to avert his own eyes from her. He didn't want to seam like he was prying- even if that tail she had was quite exciting.

"Why don't we start over again." He paused and smiled alittle bit kinder then before. "I'm Avery. Just your friendly neiborhood troublemaker- and you my dear are-?"

Irena tilted her head growing anxious as she watched him. Now he was blaming himself, it made her feel horribly guilty, it was entirely her fault in her opinion. "N-no you weren't ... I ... I shouldn't have been standing here ... like that." She frowned and looked down at the ground disappointed with herself. If only she wasn't such a coward, then he wouldn't have gotten tangled and wouldn't be blaming himself for something that was because of her. People were way too nice, blaming themselves for her faults.

She blinked surprised, "o-ok..." she raised an eyebrow and scuffed a hoof against the ground nervously. "Nice ... nice to meet you Avery." she chuckled at his introduction, it was so unusual for someone to introduce themselves that way. "I am Irena."

"Wha?" He paused and looked at her for half a second. She shouldn't have been standing there? This girl was ABIT off her rocker. At least that was what Avery concluded. Though he felt bad for her because something terrible must have happened to make her THAT timid. "Well whomever's fault it is we are both sorry for it? Agreed?" He winked at her more so wanting her to feel comfortable then him to be right. It wasn't always nessicary to become the top stallion in every situation.

"So miss Irena. You from around these parts- I've um never seen a girl with a...deer? Um tail before?" He again drew his gaze back to it like it was the most facinating thing ever- but he caught himself in mid glance and went back to looking at his hooves. It wasn't polite to stare.

Irena chuckled watching his reactioni, it was rather amusing and relieved her of some of her guilt. "Y-yes! ... agreed" she nodded and blushed embarrassed, Avery was quite nice and it was reassuring to know that the people of this land were kind ones. He was the first she had met that wasn't of her kind after all.

Irena grinned and looked at her tail, it wiggled back and forth slightly, "yep deer... a deer tail..." She laughed, "I suppose... it is rather odd..." she smiled trying to remember the lands she had come from. "I'm not... from around here..." she gazed off to the side, "my kind used to live someplace far ... far away before we ... we came here." She let out a sigh and turned to look at him again, "this land is... quite nice."

He nodded at her. "So assuming that- your your part deer?" He was trying to put two and two together with a brain that obviously didn't do math for a living. "Thats pretty darn cool. I wouldn't mind being part deer- Horns would be wicked cool...Do the males of your kind have horns?" He perked up wiggling his own tail dying for the anwser to his burning questions.

"And I don't mean like Kalona horns all pointy and such but like horn horns with like POINTS on them...eh thats what the two-leggers call it anyways..." He turned his head sheepishly to the side. He'd been rambling on quite alot- it probally wasn't very nice.

"Yes these lands are very nice to live in."

Irena grinned, "yep..." she looked up attempting to see her own ears. "I suppose... it's pretty... neat" She smiled, it was nice to know that he was so curious about her kind. "The bucks have... antlers... if that's what you mean..."

The doe tilted her head, "kalona horns? ... I wouldn't know if they... were like that... I haven't seen a Kalona's ... horns before." She chuckled awkwardly, wondering if there had been any kalona in her old lands and if she had come across them, perhaps that was how she got her scars?

"They seem... it. Do you... have to worry about.. fires often?"
