Okay... so I read the manga series Rurouni Kenshin, and was wondering about the whole *Meiji Revolution* thing. Like, what was it all about, and why did it happen? And especially: Were there really extremely powerful warriors that were known as the hitokiri? No need to go read all about it and replay, but anything you think of off the top of your head is fine! Besides, its just something to think about.

The revolution happened due to the americans forcing japans harbors open for trade. This enraged most japanesse cause they saw the shoganate unable to protect them. this caused the revolution mainly lead by the chosu clan. however once the shoganate were out of power the emporer was restored but do to his young age( cool it was a puppet government and they actually made things worse destroying the samurai class and banning swords which lead to the satsuma rebellion which was put down by the new goverment. hoped that helped
