v1 The fans roared as Monster Magnet's Live for the Moment played out across the arena's speakers, and it was that song that became well-known as the anthem for this Hardy brother. Moving out into view of the audience, Hardy bounced on his feet energetically before stepping forward and throwing up the 'v1' sign high overhead! It was a bout for the World Tag Team Championships, but some were confused at the fact that he was coming down alone. Retrieving a microphone on his way into the ring, Hardy's music died down before he spoke up to explain the situation.v1

" A lot of you may be wondering why my brother Jeff isn't down here with me tonight. The reason for that is, Jeff's sorting out a number of things in his personal life that I wish him well for. And while he's not here, I managed to secure a tag team partner who's a more than suitable replacement for tonight. And I think it's time you all knew who he was ..! "

A small tone interupted Gregory's song, the lights in the arena going completly out.

The crowd had a buzz, looking down the aisle to see the straight-edged superstar comming down the ramp. As Miseria Cantera played out, they looked and saw no one comming, maybe this was just a trick on someone's part?

A Spotlight came on now at the top of the ramp and they saw someone step out, wearing a black hoodie and yellow shorts. A small glimps could be seen of the man's arms, which appeared to be heavily taped. He looked up, bringing his hands below his chin in a cross black "X"s on the back of his hands. CM Punk was looking dead in the ring, at Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms. He had the FFA Tag title around his waist, and after standing there, another man came from out behind Punk, wearing similiar tights and a black hoodie. He too had his arms taped up and one of the tag titles around his waist.

Punk looked at the two men in the ring for at least twenty, maybe thirty seconds, the man behind him . They had a look of utter distain on their faces. Now that Punk and the man had started walking towards the ring, the fans got a chance to see who the partner was. He wasn't very recognizable to the fans of FFA, but he was no rookie.

The lights came back on now, music dying out, the crowd, whether they hated or loved Punk, grew silent in anticipation for the match and the revealing of his partner. The announcer cleared his throat before speaking.

"And the champions, first hailing from Chicago Illinois...weighing in at two-hundred and twenty seven pounds....he is CM Puuuuuunk!" The crowd cheered and boo'ed, Punk was always on the fence with these crowds. "And his partner....from Ottawa, Ontario Canada....weighing in at two-hundred and seven pounds....Matt Stone!" The announcer finished as Punk and Stone talked in the coner, taking off the titles and handing them to the refferee. Stone would get out of the ring to allow Punk to start the match who had his hands clasped together, warming up his wrists as he shifted his weight from foot to foot to stay loose, waiting for the bell.

Punker was more that willing to get into a technical bout against hardy, believing he'd have the edge in it. Being straight edge, he thought his reflexes would be sharper, and so he accepted the lock up as the bell sounded in the middle of the ring, jockying for position.

Punk was slowly backed into a neutral corner and immidiatly put his hands in the air to allow the ref to back hardy up for the rope break. Punk knew the rules and would exploit them at every opportunity.

As soon as Hardy backed up a step, Punk would go for a hard right open-hand slap to the North Carolina native. If it was successful, Stone from his corner would shout out "Ah b***h, you got jacked b***h!"

CM Punk, ever the ring tactitian, knew that Hardy wouldn't take that shot lying down and so he had put his head under the top rope, once again looking for the refferee's interferance for the rope break.

Punk slowly got back fully in the ring and smiled over at Hardy. Walking out of the corner, Punk would lunge in for the a collar and elbow tie-up.
