((Ok, weird name..))

Haru strolled along the beach's shore. He let his toes touch the water and then giggled to himself. He was in need of attention...where was Yukio when he needed someone to tell him how pretty he was?

(( It's cool. xD ))

Texas rested his back against the trunk of a palm tree and let out a light sigh. Sometimes, sitting alone for too long made him contemplative, and perhaps a little upset. It had certainly gotten lonely since Hyacinthus had basically walked out of his life. Maybe it was Texas's fault, maybe it was Cinthy's fault, or maybe even it was no one's fault, but it had happened and it was still hard to accept.

Well, Texas never had stood a chance with Hyacinthus anyway. That was even sadder to admit. Jazz, Tristen, Haru, they all stood a better chance than he did. He was just in the background as the best friend character who had a crush on their best friend that was unrequitted. Wow, now when he thought of it, that sounded horribly cliche. Nice job, Texas...

Speaking of Haru, was that who he thought it was? Taking his mind out of its horrid place, he attempted to call out to the figure next to the water. "Hey, Haru!" projected Texas out to the lake. "Is that you?!" Hopefully, it wasn't. He was trying to get his mind away from that place.

Haru's ears perked up as he thought he heard his name being shouted at him. He put his hand over his eyes to shade from the sun and sure enough, Texas was calling him from a tree. Haru waved and then started over to him.

"Yes, it is I." He said and kind of danced his way over. "What are you doing?" He decided to ask, maybe it was something fun or if he was doing nothing maybe he would give Haru some needed attention.

Damn, it was Haru. Well, sometimes, things didn't work out the way he hoped. "What am I doing? Not anything good." If only the thoughts that taunted his mind would bury themselves forever. "Well, sitting on the beach is a good thing, but my mind is going places I'd rather it not." Texas knit his brows, but then decided to shrug it off in favor of asking more about Haru.

"And what brings you to this beach on this fine day of winter? Doing anything of interest?" Haru would probably like the questioning anyway, figured Texas. After all, Haru did seem to favor people who gave him plenty of attention. Maybe that was the whole reason Haru seemed to favor Hyacinthus in the first place. Cinthy did shower the people he loved with attention, most of the time. Bah, his mind needed to stop going there before Texas got depressing.

"Well, maybe we could change that." He referred to Texas not doing anything and him saying his mind was going to wrong places. Haru only briefly wondered what that comment meant.

"Me, nothing as well." He walked over to Texas and then looked out over the lake. "Want to do something?" He wasn't sure what, but anything was bound to be better than nothing.

Changing his attention to anything but Hyacinthus or anything related to Hyacinthus sounded like an option Texas would enjoy. "Why not?" There had to be something better to do than sitting there and reflecting on a wasted past. What was over was over, after all, and his hopes of a relationship with his best friend were definitely beyond over.

Texas lifted himself off the ground and lazily brushed some sand off of his lower half. He then lifted his eyes back to Haru and offered a lop-sided grin. "Do you have anything in mind? I'm sure there's plenty to do on a beach, or even in this general area." Going swimming might not be the best idea at this time of year even if it was relatively warm, but anything else was certainly an option.

"Anything in mind?" Well, all things he would like to do he doubted Texas would find and interest in. "We could swim...but I don't care for the cold." Haru started to think aloud..."Talk..." about what? "Build sandcastles?" This was hard, as Haru really only enjoyed talking about himself, dressing in silky clothes, kissing...
PostPosted: Thu Feb 26, 2009 10:32 pm

Texas wouldn't be all that interested in any of those topics, especially the kissing. The demonic Pae'il didn't want to touch anything remotely like a relationship with a ten foot pole at the moment. Sand-castle building, however, sounded like something interesting to do. He looked up to the clear sky and pondered the options for a moment, before turning back to Haru.

"Yeah, sure. Let's build some sand-castles." That could be fun. Creative, use of hands, beauty, shapes, and all sorts of other things. Texas moved towards a location with less palm trees and a bit more sand to work with. The only problem was the lack of pails.

Haru nodded his head and then danced down the beach. He found a rock and started to dig. "What kind of castle will you make?" He asked Texas as he worked. Haru was going to make a beautiful castle that if real, he would want to live in. He was pretty enough to be a princess.

"I don't really know." Hm, what would he make with a shell for a shovel and no pail? It would be difficult to gather a decent amount of sand in the first place. Perhaps he would simply end up making a sand hut. However, that was fine too. Perhaps he could decorate the little sand hut with various other shells and some seaweed.

The demonic scooped up some sand with his hands and began to gather it into one large pile that he could work from. Once he thought the pile of sand was sufficiently high, Texas looked around for some better way to transport water than this little shell. Perhaps a large palm leaf would work...

Haru watched Texas worked and realized he needed some tools. "Hang on." He said and danced up the hill to find where he left a spoon and a few cups the last time he was on the beach.

"Never know when you need these things." He said with a wink and then tossed a cup up to Texas. He then put sand in and tamped it down. He made a nice turret.

Well, that was helpful. Texas walked over to the lake with his cup and got a bunch of water before returning and dumping it on the pile of sand he had gotten together. Wet sand was easier to mold, and so, he had an easier time stacking the wet sand up and attempting to make a tower.

Unfortunately, Texas made the base a little too big. He knit his brows at it before taking some of the sand off and attempting to round it out again. The demonic Pae'il seemed very concentrated on his sand sculpture, as if determined to make it perfect. Really, Texas was just happy to focus on something else besides Hyacinthus--damn it, he just did it again. Texas shook his head before continuing with his tower-building quietly.

Haru made a few turrets and then ran off. When he came back he had his arms full of flowers, rocks, and sticks. "Here are some decorating things. He smiled and went back to work.

Haru placed flowers on his sand castle and then used the sticks to make designs. They looked familiar and if anyone looked they looked like the patterns on his body.

It took Texas a few moments before he realized that Haru had brought over other things for them to use. He took his eyes off of his tower and chuckled. "Thanks, Haru." Then, he went back to building his tower, determined to stack the sand symmetrically and high. He would scrape off parts of the tower that seemed too lumpy or uneven, and then promptly dive right into fixing it all up again.

One he thought the tower was sufficiently high, he stood up and took a flower and a stick from the collection of things Haru had brought with him. The demonic tapped his chin before taking a petal off of the white flower he was holding and carefully attaching it to the small stick. It was a bit difficult to tie a petal to a stick, and he ended up breaking a few petals and having to use others, but eventually, he got it to work. With that, he pushed the stick-flag into the top of the tower and put his hands on his hips, grinning proudly.

Haru sat back and looked over at Texas' castle. "Lookin' good!" He said and then looked at his own castle which was looking more like a very fancy cake than a castle after all. "I wish I could live in this for real." Haru thought he deserved a castle to live in.
