History: Many tell Akair that he's too nice, and that he's a horrible slave owner. To himself, he considers himself just another human being trapped in a world where humans are sold to other humans as nothing more than glorified pets, and he tries to help as many slaves as he can by buying them. In return, they provide him with company and help around the house.
If he truly trusts them, they help him when his limp is more pronounced than usual, fetching this and that and bringing him food.
