eek !!
Really, it's not just a rumor anymore! I heard it from reliable sources! sweatdrop
Nothing detailed is available yet, since the production really just started. If it's really true, the movie probably won't even be out for around three years or so. Even with all the wait, this is great news!!! biggrin
I'd be so excited if this were a continuation of the series--since they could totally continue it if they wanted to. Woah, imagine if it were a manga adaptation?? eek But, the manga's probably too long for that... I hope it isn't another one of those movies where they squish the entire series into 90 minutes....but even if it is, I'll just be glad to see some shiny new Trigun animation anyway. sweatdrop xd

So....what do you think? sweatdrop

I heard this from "The Otaku", which is a pretty reliable anime website, and they heard it from Anime Insider---I think they're pretty reliable too.
So, this is very early in production....Let's hope it doesn't get scrapped! Aaaah.....Oh dear. eek sweatdrop

Here's the deal
From AnimeForums all over the net, the Anime Insider mag to the Otaku.com
It's real, and it's DEFINETLY in the works.
But it probably isn't going to come out for 2 more years they said. WITH THAT SAID, we can all look foward to what Yasuhiro is cooking up. Just think, the animation has improved significantly at Madhouse Productions (f.y.i: Gungrave) and from 1998 to the time of 2008 or 2007...just think of it....we're in for an awesome movie.
MAYBE for the animation but the question is the storyline of it.
I REALLY hope it's not a recap of the anime series......2 years of my life would be wasted waiting at every beckon call to the Trigun Movie news.
I wish it would be some what of the manga's storyline (i'll just say sl).

The manga's sl is wayyyyyyyy better then the anime's (in opinion), BUT the anime is what shaped the Trigun fans and fandom it has today, it has to have its respects.

Just as long as it keeps the respect of what the Trigun anime is
What the manga has to offer with its' jammed back awesomeness
And Wolfwood is revived (as many fans by the thousands are raving to MadHouse to happen), then wholy hell on earth i will be the first one in Idaho to see that freaking movie!!

Yah!! biggrin I agree, I really hope it's not a recap...but, all things considered, it will most likely look very shiny and nice, no matter what it's about.
Trigun Maximum is incredible so far....I would love to see this animated, but if they did, they'd probably run into a lotta time issues since it's so long. Who knows, mebbe they'd be willing to make some insane 5-hour-or-more long movie. xd Haha...Well, I guess they might as well do another series if they wanted to animate Maximum. With that in mind, I'm thinking that a Maximum adaptation is probably least likely to happen for a movie, but you never know.
Speaking of which, Trigun Maximum Volume #7 was so...woah! o_o Ha, I highly doubt they would do this, but I would love to see a movie that focused on the Maximum version of Vash and Knives' pasts on the SEED ships. It managed to be so gripping and intense without having much action at all---which is probably why they wouldn't make a movie out of that. Somehow, I doubt that they'd make a Trigun movie with no action, although I really wouldn't even mind. sweatdrop But....you never know!

I wonder if they've started production yet? Wow, I wonder if the designs are different... You think they might be closer to Nightow's style now? I had no problem with the series artwork, but I always thought Nightow's manga had a more unique flare to it, or somethin'. I noticed that Gungrave's animation looked closer to Nightow's style--so maybe the movies designs will look more Nightow-ish? I'm rambling. o_o Eee!
