 Behind the School lies the Forest of Myst, a vast expanse of the world that hardly anyone dares to enter.
Not only is it dark and murky, it is inhabited by creatures never before seen by mortals.
This forest was once the home of a powerful elven race, who's magic was beyond measure.
No one knows what happened to them, but their essence is intwined into the trees.
So watch your back.

 A soft, surprisingly warm breeze ruffles through the leaves, carrying the sound of a sweet voice through the ancient forest.
Griz pauses and tilts her chin up to face the sun, letting the rays soak into her skin. She takes a deep breath of the crisp, clean air and releases it with a bright grin on her face. She usually didn't go out in the sun much- she burned easily- but after so many days of cold, dreary weather, she decided it was time to venture out from underneath her rock.
With her hands on her hips and her head cocked to one side, she eyes the entrance to the forest. It was quite intimidating, she had never seen trees so enormous. Maybe the person she was after was hiding somewhere in there...
A small animal pokes it head out of the pocket of her coat with a small peep- Squishy the momonga squirrel. He chitters his little teeth and darts out of her pocket and up her sleeve, sitting himself upon her shoulder and tugging at strands of her hair with his little paws. Griz makes a soft noise by sucking in her bottom lip, a tiny squeak, and plods forward into the forest.

Kairra's steps were silent, even as she walked on drying leaves. She was happy, a huge grin spread across showing it. Her eyes a bright blue, the color it would change when she was happy and calm. Kairra breathed in the fresh, crisp air and allowed her gaze to search through the trees. This forest is so misunderstood, she thought. Sitting down, she leaned against an enormous tree, allowing her mind to wander. Without realizing it she started to hum a quiet tune. The song was a beautiful melody that rang throughout the woods, and her voice as clear as crystal.

Squishy jumps off of Griz's shoulder with a soft squeal, gliding through the air with his little arm flaps before landing and scurrying off into a cluster of trees.
"I'll let him do his own thing..." she young woman sighed with a calm smile, her voice like velvet honey. Her waist long strawberry blonde hair billows behind her in soft ringlets. She tucks a lock of it behind her ears and stuffs her hands into her pockets, her large turquoise eyes wandering along the tree trunks and leaves.
She was almost subconciously following the voice, just dreamily wandering around this forest. She wasn't too worried about getting lost- she had a pretty good sense of what was left and right. Griz was kind of like a pigeon... smarter though.

"Rahhhhh!" Griz screamed in a primal sort of way, skipping forward and waving her arms in the air just to freak out Kai's animal friends. She makes 'grarr' noises and giggles, spinning around with glee as some of them scatter away, the bolder of the lot bristling as they see her coming.
Griz recognized a few of them, especially the little brown fox, but most of them were just things she liked to chase... except the birds. She appreciated those, she could relate to them. The spunky woman stopped spinning right in front of Kairra with a wide, silly grin spread across her face.
Her eyes twinkle a bright turquoise. "Hello!" she chirps briskly, giving a small salute to the elf and winking. "Fancy seeing you here..."

The animals bounded off into different directions while some of them growled protectively toward Griz. Kairra gave her a quick annoyed glance before standing up, and placed Squishy on the ground. Folding her arms she said, "You know you didn't have to scare them. They live cautious enough lives without you having to scare them." She stood there for a moment or two before a grin spread across her face.
"So, whats up? You knew i'd be here...being the almighty animal lover of the school and all. You come looking for somethin'?" She looked at her friend for a moment, trying to figure out what she was thinking. But soon gave up and shrugged, waiting to see what she'd say.

Griz bends down to offer Squishy her hand. He scuttles up her sleeve and takes his seat back upon her shoulder. She grins softly and straightens back up.
"Oh, nothing in particular. Just visiting." she says in a musical way.
"I've never actually been in this neck of the woods." Griz snickers at her own bad joke.
"I was bored. I thought it would be fun to track you down..." the bright-eyed woman replies thoughtfully while scratching Squishy's chin. "Is there anything interesting here?"
She tilts her head to one side, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

"As a matter of fact..." She paused and looked off into the distance. "I had a little conversation with a sparrow this morning. He said theres some type of old structure off to the west. He didn't give much detail, just enough that its in ruins and probably was very big." A smile crawled its way onto her face, with a c'mon-lets-go kind of look. "Wanna go check it out?"

Griz shrugs smoothly.
"Sure. It'd be kinda fun..." she chuckles softly. Ruins were exciting- you could always find good stuff in there. Rocks, dust, maybe a few dead bugs. Griz liked to explore big places, just like this forest, but who knows what kind of fun surprises they would find in that place?

Her head tilted to the side, not unlike a begging dog. "What do you mean 'kinda'. This is going to be so cool, our own little adventure!" Kairra turned around making a whistling sound through her teeth. It was a crisp sound that was almost identical to that of a sparrow chirp. After a few moments a tiny black bird zoomed out of the sky toward them. She landed on her outstretched hand, and she chirped excitedly. "Hi sweety." She said as she stroked the bird's head gently. "This is my friend Griz..." Gesturing toward her she continued, "and we want to go see those ruins you told me about yesterday." The sparrow made a series of high pitched squeaks and noises before flying off her finger. She flitted around both their heads before flying off in the direction of the ruins. "C'mon Griz, lets goooooo."
