Wowee! What an episode! mrgreen
Summary This episode opens up with MORE training for the turtles. Donny and Raph v. Leo. Well, Leo pretty much schools them. AFterward, they complain about how he's pushing them too much. And Splinter even says something (though I missed what xD) Then they wonder where Mikey is. They find him watching Justice Force outside some kid's windows. They talk to him about how he's slacking off.
He retorts back with "I'M THE BATTLE NEXUS CHAMPION!" to everyone's chagrin. As they talk about how annoying he is with all the Battle Nexus stuff (including a funny exchange about the trophy and a necklace) a portal opens in the sky, and Kluh(?), the giant guy MIkey fought in the Nexus slams his fist into the ground,s ending Mikey flying. raph goes to help, but four more warriors come down and Splinter asks WTF IS GOING ON?! But they reply with more fighting! Even Splinter gets in on the action. Awesome fight scene. biggrin
Then the ref-guy materializes and is like "Yo, stop! You have to have the rematch at the Nexus!" And he forces the warriors to leave. Mikey asks them to help h im train, but his bros just tell him he doesn't need training, he's the Champion! Even Splinter gets in a few jibes. Leo, however, agrees to help Mikey.
So they go to the Nexus, and yadda yadda. The Ultimate Ninja asks Leo if they used to paly together, because he remembers him, but he doesn't know where. Leo replies "Uh...yeah....yeah we did." Later that night, Leo and MIkey go up a mountain so that Mikey can learn how to focus his mind so that nothing can ever catch him off guard. He gives a speech about how they're all they have, and stuff. Kinna deep? Mikey ruins it by asking if he can still forfeit.
The day of the rematch comes, and Mikey and Leo are talking. Ultimate Ninja gives Michelangelo his support as well. When MIke leaves to go to his fight, the four warriors jump Leo! They're there to kidnap the Daimyo's son! Also, they've hatched a plan to take off the safety seals int he tournament, so that Kluh can defeat MIchelangelo in mortal combat. Ruh roh.
THE FIGHT BEGINZ. At first it looks like Mikey might hol dhis own, but Kluh quickly gets the upperhand. When it becomes apparent that the safety thingsa ren't working, the big-monster-dudes (I cant' believe I forgot what they called themselves) explainw hat they did. Daimyo threatens them, but they pull out his son and hold him as a hostage. The Daimyo can do nothing.
But then Leo saves the Daimyo's son! :O
At the same time, Mikey is geting pounded. Kluh explains that once he's done with him, his brothers will face the sam efate. This doesn't sit well, and Mikey remember's Leo's speech. He quickly teaches Kluh to stfu. Mikey spairs Kluh's life, however, and the warriros are expelled from the nexus!
Mikey is honored at a feast (and all the turtles are in their Battle Nexus armor. Shiny) and he gets a new prize. The brothers w hine about how he'll NEVER shut up now! D:

Loved this episode! It was awesome! Fights ROCKED, and the Kluh/Mikey fight was one of my favorite from the series. Definitely a reccomended episode! Totally rocked.
Next week is the Halloween episode.

I'd kiss you but I'm sick! *L* So... y'know, thanks and stuff.
Damn WHY did I have to miss this one?! The only reason I got to see freakin' Wing and a Prayer is b/c Mystic was here and had it on tape! I won't be able to see this ep until it's released on dvd.
Damnit... my weekend sucks. cry

I thought it was a pretty fun episode. I can't wait until we actually start getting into some solid storyline stuff, though.
Mikey: "Best. Show. Ever!"
S: "That's how I feel about this show!"
Oh, and as I just realized today (and told my brother and mom), the Season 4 theme song is faulty. It states that "Leonardo's always in control". Bullshit!
Oh Lady... feel better, now, dammit!

S-X- Dual Personalities Oh, and as I just realized today (and told my brother and mom), the Season 4 theme song is faulty. It states that "Leonardo's always in control". Bullshit! Oh Lady... feel better, now, dammit! Thank you! And I'm not sure how you see that as being taken, but I see it as he's always calm, cool and in control of his things (which as we know is indeed bullshit) not that he's always in control of the group. Either way it's BS obviously. Mystic and I were talking yesterday about how we're noticing Raphael becoming more mature and taking the lead more often... which is WEIRD. And yet has nothing to do with this episode...

is it safe to say that under the normal rules of the tournament Mikey would have lost once he got hit by the other guys weapon? he should have been warped to that upper area. so, in actuality, mikey shouldn't have won and shouldn't be the battle nexus champion now whee

Them saying "Leo's always incontrol" in the intro would work for the other seasons but falls flat here because Leo is not in control even of himself anymore. Seems like they changed the Intro a bit too late for that part to work.
Anyway good episode, Leo has happier this episode (He even smiled) and Mikey now offically has braging rights. Raph can't say Mikey only won due to a technicality now.
Yes if the actual rules were in place Mikey would have lost, but that has to do with Mikey not really having much confadance about his abilities. Mikey often does not realize how strong he is, had he fought Kluh to win he would have dominated that fight. It's just that Mikey did not try, he gave Kluh that battle more or less.

Okay, cathartic release ahoy!!
I'm not going to waste pixels on a long agreement of how great this episode was (it gets 4/5 from me, being docked only because of being out of order) . . I will, however, say what I liked that hasn't yet been mentioned:
*Raph telling Mikey that if he has to deal with Leo then Mikey does too! 3nodding
*Frankly Raph's statement about Mikey making the BN trophy into a necklace he could wear around his neck made me laugh 'cause it reminded me of the Millenium Puzzle from Yu Gi Oh! . . maybe Mike should just ask Yuugi where he got his chain? xd
*The Ultimate Ninja is still such a cute little kid, and I'm glad that he's got no hard feelings left attached to Leo . . I think it helped Leo to come out of his funk for a bit and be a skoush more normal.
*Splinter getting in on the Mikey-mocking was amusing . . now we can taunt him with 'hey, you can mock with the best of us youngin's!' Yep, no more real mystical, above it all attitude Splinter, we see yer just as capable of teenage mocking as the rest of us! whee
*Once again we get shown that, despite the irritation of hearing about the Battle Nexus thing over and over and over again Mikey's basic nature puts us all to shame; told to finish his opponent -- who he knows would have 'finished' him and his family had they won -- Mikey spares his life . . . wow . .
