Oh, she was exhausted!

She had spent her morning traveling for miles by hoof, since she wanted to avoid flying for the day. For some odd reason she felt compelled to walk and trot as much as she could since she had an important destination in mind. Plus, it had been awhile since she traveled with her good ol' legs. She sort of figured she needed to exercise! She had also promised herself that she'd make it to the ocean, and although the air was still somewhat chilly, that didn't stop her from completing her task.

When she had finally made it to the sandy front, she wanted to collapse on the ground in relief of her efforts. Wow, she really was out of shape! But, seeing the water and it's movement was enough of a treat for her, so she trotted forward until she was right up close to the thrashy surface. She could ignore all silly matters for now, for the ocean was in front of her!

She adored the ocean. Many avoided the ocean until summertime since there was no way to swim without freezing. But to her the ocean should be watched and enjoyed in any season at any time. It wasn't surprising that she always drifted around the land in circles, and was always able to be reunited with the ocean some way or some how. It wasn't even that she liked swimming that much. She just loved the sounds and the sights. And, today was just another day of visiting and enjoying!

She closed her eyes lightly and breathed the air in through her nose. Ah, she was soooo relaxed now! Even if her legs were still achy, all emotions and feelings were focused on the beauty in front of her. All was seriously perfect.

The stallion trotted down the beach, the cold winter winds whipping at his coat and tossing his long locks of pale hair. Spring had yet to appear, though the days were growing longer and winter snow was sometimes replaced by a warmer rain. It wouldn't be long now before the days heated up, and Galahad for one was looking forward to such a time. Even though the air was chilly and cool, a trip to the ocean had been the perfect escape. . .

He would never give up saving the world, or assisting his mistress on her mission. But with Kaiya away on a personal mission, Galahad had been informed to take it easy. There was never a day off in the world of rescuing the damned, but sometimes even the most noble needed a little down time. Today, for Galahad, would be it.

A trip to the illustrious ocean. The scent of salt and sand were heavy in the air, and the hypnotic rhythem of the waves crashing against the shore was music. Though the winds were strong and cold, the green eyed knight couldn't be more content. Gulls spiraled overhead, but for the most part, the beach stretched out endlessly before him with out a single soul in sight.

. . . .except for the mare, that is.

Trotting down the beach shore, hoof deep in mud and salt water, the stallion was surprised to see he wasn't alone. First impression caused him to be on guard, ears pricked in curiosity at what looked to be a long maned kalona. The closer he approached, the male picked out she lacked a set of horns, but that didn't make her any less dangerous. One could never judge a book by its cover, so he had learned by traveling with the angeni. . . but unlike her, he had no way to tell who was broken and in need of healing.

Odd to see a kalona at the beach . . . but to each their own. "Greetings and salutations, m'lady," he spoke, not wanting to startle the mare in his approach. Kaiya had taught him to be gentle and kind to all those around him; never should judgment be passed on those different or even those broken and cruel. . . Because one never knew their story or their situation. Hate only spurned hate, and judgment and prejudice were children of such a disease. . .

No, kalona-esque or not, he could be cautious but that didn't mean he had to be unfriendly. Everyone deserved a chance. . . and until she made her intentions clear, Galahad had every intention of being polite. His mother had taught him love and kindness, his father how to protect himself and his loved ones as a warrior, and Kaiya had given him the confidence to save the world and find his calling.

Dipping his head in a formal bow, he kept his gentle green gaze focused on Pascale, waiting to see how she responded. He'd defend himself if necessary. . . . but how this meeting would go would be up to the mare before him.

((Promise he's not prejudiced against kalona or mutants or whatever; but logically, she LOOKS like a kalona so he can't help but assume she is until he learns otherwise. x3 ))

Truth be told, Pascale was surprised to hear the stallion approaching her. When she heard the formal greeting, she could only turn and blink lightly. Her mind had been preoccupied with the waves and the scents, and she wasn't expecting company. But, after registering the figure and realizing she HAD company, she was happy to comply of course. "Oh, hello!' she finally said, while realizing she should probably respond so the stallion didn't find her as staring! It wasn't like her to not talk, anyhow.

The stallion was rather royal looking, and his coat was well groomed and clean to the eye. His hair was also nice and tidy, and Pascale obviously loved that. "I love your hair!" she finally said, while noticing the light hues that shown on his skull. Most mares would probably be too shy to make such remarks, but Pascale was ok with doing so. She fluffed up her own hair while smiling towards him warmly. At least she would have interesting company!

His horn was probably the most surprising, and she lowered her eyes and stared at it in awe. "Is that thing heavy?" she then said, while tilting her head and shaking it off with a laugh. "It's cool looking! But I hope it doesn't give you a headache or anything." Since, that would be sad! She'd seen horns before, but his was rather unique. Ah well, no reason to dwell on such a detail if it made him uncomfortable. But, she couldn't help commenting at first sight.

"Oh, I'm Pascale!" she finally said, while realizing it was about time she introduced herself. "What happens to be your name, Mr. interesting stallion?" Well, he WAS indeed interesting. He was different then most stallions she'd seen. Hopefully he would also be interesting to talk to?

Luckily for him, Pascale always gave others the benefit of the doubt. So far, the stallion had approached her and wasn't yelling at her or staring her down too badly. Since he wasn't being too extreme in his stature, she could forgive him for any initial doubts to what she looked like. Usually she experienced more of a battle than the stallion was offering. So, she was happy she didn't have to deal with anything too depressing or complicated. That would seriously ruin the overall feeling of the beach and the sun!

The stallion was pleased to discover that his 'kalona' acquaintance wasn't at all as he'd first believed. The moment she turned to greet him his defensive stance swiftly diminished; the caution within his gaze was replaced by a curious delight and his soft features highlighted in to a smile. Even if he thought that Pascale's personality was a ruse, the stallion couldn't believe that a fierce huntress would act so charming in such a short amount of time. Nothing in her body language suggested a desire to attack, nor did he feel that he should mistrust her. . .

No, though he had learned early on that the kalona were to be mistrusted, working with Kaiya had also taught him that looks could always be deceiving. Even the most cruel hearts could be saved, even the most vicious of spirits could be tamed and, most importantly, loved. Galahad walked the world first as a healer of physical wounds, but secondly a healer of souls. He could never be like Kaiya; he could never be like the angel that walked the world to save.

But that didn't mean he couldn't learn or try. With Kaiya away, it meant he was left to practice what he preached and he fully intended to do so. But thankfully, this first beach side meeting with the long haired mare was meant to be a blessing in disguise.

Taking a few steps forward, giving his long mane a small shake, green eyes focused upon the friendly mare. It was almost difficult to take in her bright personality and enthusiasm; never had the stallion been complimented upon his long locks and honestly he thought little of his hair. Both of his parents had been blessed with long hair, but honestly he thought nothing of it. Glancing down, the stallion dipped his head, green eyes bright. "Well thank you, m'lady, but I think your golden locks quite outshine my own disheveled appearance." And wasn't that the truth!

The mare that stood before him was indeed quite the sight. She was an intriguing shade of golden curls, a white body pale as snow dipped in hues of twilight. It wasn't quite purple, wasn't quite blue, with soft red highlights on her nose and wings. Certainly she was a sight to behold, especially upon the beach.

"As for my horn," he added with a grin, "I'll admit it causes me grief. It isn't heavy, but I must be wary while trotting through the woods. I occasionally get it tangled within the low lying trees and vines and . . . I fear I look quite ridiculous when I do." He wasn't so proud to admit his own failures and yes, occasionally he did get tangled. Strangely enough, such issues only popped up after he'd grown; his height along with the growth of his horn meant a few new obstacles especially around low lying trees and branges.

Chuckling, the stallion pawed a bit self-consciously at the sand before looking up at the mare. Pascale was her name. . . Pretty name for a pretty mare. "Forgive my rude behavior," he apologized as he dipped his head in a respectful bow. "I'm Galahad, and it's truly a pleasure to meet you, m'lady."

Oh, he was quite the gentleman! Pascale grinned as he responded to her words and enjoyed the peaceful energy he emitted. She tilted her head as he explained his horn to her and she found herself giggling in surprise. "Well, I suppose you must be strong if you're able to carry it without fail! And as for tangling measures, I'd say all of us have those problems. I constantly run in to things with my wings." So hey, there was nothing to be ashamed of. "Buuuuut.." she wiggled her body around in response to her upcoming question. "Where did you get such a cool horn, anyways?!" To her it was a perfectly honest and normal question. But, hopefully for her sake he wouldn't take it the wrong way!

She found herself beaming towards her acquaintance when she heard him announce his name. At least her memory was good enough so she could remember it well! "It's a pleasure to meet you too!" she finally said, while bringing her eyes back on his. "So, how has your day been thus far? I hope I'm not interrupting a personal day or anything." Pascale had never taken one of those, but her siblings did all the time. Apparently it was possible to silently think about things, but she never found that as useful in her own life. She'd much rather vent and get lots of attention, or enjoy the attention of others.

But to each their own! Her parents had taught her to understand others in that way at least.

Her body suddenly twitched lightly and she lowered her eyes to see water creeping under her hoof. "Goodness, must be that time of the day again. The water's going to start soaking further and further in." She grinned at that prospect and found the whole experience of the land moving under the water to be fascinating. "When the water starts to move all around us that might be a good time to head to higher ground. But for now... I think we'll be just fine!" She would keep an eye out for both of their sakes. "Hope you don't mind getting your hooves wet!"

Pascale was certainly amicable. The stallion had never met a mare quite as happy as she seemed to be; she smiled and radiated a pleasant disposition that was far from forced or fake. Her giggles were genuine, her sweetness sincere. . . .where Kaiya was consistently calming Pascale was purely happy.

It was a refreshing change for the stallion, to say the least.

His immediate family were more serious sorts; his father, Crousader, was a valiant warrior and protector of Islagiatt and had always taught him to be bold, brave and all things warrior like. His mother was the more gentle and affectionate of the two; a healer and quite in tune with the spirits. His brother and himself had inherited the more calming personality traits of their mother while his elder sister had been more like his father. Either way, no one in their family seemed quite as giddy or cheerful as the mare presently before him.

Even Kaiya, for as good as she was, harbored a serious nature to her spirit.

Regardless, the stallion couldn't help but grin as the mare admitted to her own ensnarement with her wings. Half of his family possessed wings but he never remembered their feathers tangling within the nearby woods. Then again, it wasn't a problem he paid much attention to, being grounded like his mother. "My siblings and father have wings, albeit they're covered in feathers. I seem to remember my brother getting in to a rough spot with his wings as a colt, so it's completely understandable, m'lady." Leather wings could prove to be as frustrating as feathers, so it seemed. "As for my horn, I inherited it from my mother, Amarinne. I take after her in looks, though my brother inherited more of her blond hair than I." He gave his own mane a little shake, eying the pale tips.

Strange to be talking of horns and hair to a complete stranger. . . . but he honestly didn't mind. It was strangely mundane, strangely normal; and working with Kaiya, normalcy wasn't something he often experienced.

As the mare voiced her concern, the stallion chuckled and gave a little shake of his head. "Oh no, my dear, I promise you've not interrupted anything. Between the two of us," he added with a good humored wink, "it is I who should be apologizing to you! It is I who interrupted your sea-gazing and it is I who made myself so loudly known as I approached so please forgive me." He was sincere in his words, voice gentle as he dipped his head once more.

And to think he thought her as potentially life-threatening. . . . The world was more and more amazing everyday.

Peeking down at his cloven hooves, it was with mild surprise Galahad discovered the tide was indeed coming in. He didn't understand the exact reasons for the waters daily rise and fall but it was something unusual to say the least. Giving his tail a little flick, he canted his head at the mare. "If you'd like, m'lady, perhaps you wouldn't mind taking a stroll down the beach? I had no particular destination in mind, but I can promise a pretty view." It made sense to the stallion. . . . No use standing around when they could take a beach side stroll.

"Feel no obligation, mind," he added with a cordial grin. "It's as the lady wishes, mind."

Oh yay, he was telling her about his family! Pascale made it clear that she was interested by huddling forward, and her eyes perked as he spoke in much detail. "Siblings! And your mother!" she made a light happy-squeal and then proceeded to twist in a circle. "I was wondering if you were a stallion who came from a family. From your manners and princely demeanor I was guessing such a fact!" His father and mother obviously taught him well. Pascale had grown up with different values, seeing as though she turned out much differently then Galahad. But, she and her siblings had survived just fine, considering the fact that they were half-spawns that were easily targeted.

In truth she really loved the idea of families. So far she had met so many Soquili who had grown up so oppositely then she had. Who knew such a thing was possible!? Well, her parents had always explained that life-detail to her and her siblings, since she knew her family was an extravagant bunch of personalities. But to her it was still an amazing thing. The fact that a mother and father could do so much to allow their children to grow in personality... life was definitely amazing like that!

As for his proposal to take a walk, Pascale found herself curtseying at all of the m'lady statements. She thought it appropriate to act just as ladylike back, even if some of her mannerisms would be too extreme if such ladies actually existed. "I'd love to go for a walk. I am a creature with lots of energy, maybe even too much at times. So any type of moving is a comfort for me!" she scurried forward and waited for the stallion to follow, and led her face into a light breeze that appeared in front of her. Ah, the walk would be nice. But the talk would be even better!

She put aside the comforts of the scenery for a moment to continue on with commenting on Galahad's kind statements. "Oh please, there is no reason to apologize. I was definitely excited to be interrupted from my daze. I'd say my most favorite thing EVER is to be interacting with others! I'm not very good at keeping quiet for too long..." A light shrug of her shoulders followed her statement, and her eyes glanced back at Galahad's with a usual hint of energy.

It was nice to see that the stallion was opening up to her so well. Just moments ago she wondered if he would take a chance with talking with her. And, thankfully he had! She wanted to make sure he would have a good time speaking with her, at least. She'd be disappointed in herself to hear if he wouldn't!

"So, what do you like to do for fun?" She had asked him so many things already and now it was time for her to settle in with more easy-to-answer questions! "I can already tell so much about your personality, though I am curious about what it is you... do!"

Pascale's energy was infectious and the stallion himself couldn't help but smile at her. She certainly was a lively sort, not at all like one might have earlier imagined; her quiet stance by the ocean might have proved a more contemplative nature, where as instead he had bumped in to a genuine friendly firecracker! Accustomed to his frequent outings with Miss Kaiya, the stallion wasn't used to such outgoing behavior. Though he adored his teacher, the angeni was more refined and aloof. Her thoughts were almost always on others or her various missions in the world. . . Though they frequently spoke and discussed tactics on redeeming the damned, even at her most outgoing she was nothing at all like Pascale.

The hybrid before him was refreshing and he was glad the spirits had allowed him a chance to meet her. She was far from in need of saving but perhaps, this time, the tides were turning. It was he that needed a break from the daily stresses of work.

Princely demeanor? Galahad couldn't help but stand a little taller at such an admittance; though he always tried to be the most congenial of sorts, he was also fairly young and still gaining experience around the world. He liked ot think of himself as a knight, a prince in shining armor. . . . Always, always, always Galahad worked to do right and to protect those in need. "My family is a very honorable sort," he admitted, "My father is a great knight and warrior of our herd, and my mother a spiritual healer. Morals and values are held in great esteem from where I hail, m'lady. I just hope you don't find my attitude snobbish or conceited." He dipped his head apologetically before trailing after Pascale down the shore.

So she was a social mare, it certainly was no surprise to the stallion. Trotting slowly down the beach, angling himself ever so slightly so his hooves might meet the oceans water, the stallion mulled over her words. So she favored interacting with the world around. "Amazingly enough," he added with a grin, "I too am quite the social creature. There isn't too long a time where I'm left to my own devices, both by choice and circumstance." If he wasn't with Kaiya, he was visiting home or continuing to carry his message of love and forgiveness to those in need. He was no saint like his mistress, but he could always strive to be even when they weren't together.

Pascale's next question did strike the stallion off guard. He didn't often think about free time or fun, and when he was given a quiet moment . . well. . . what did he do? "I'll admit, much of my time isn't my own. I assist a mare as her champion, helping to heal the physical wounds of those in need and . . .if we're lucky . . .their emotional hurts as well." Galahad wanted to save the world, but he knew it wasn't within his jurisdiction; he always felt as if Kaiya was the mare to do the actual saving. . .he just assisted where he could. "It is good to see that there are those out there who aren't overwhelmed with fear or hate or hurt. . . You indeed are a beacon of light, so for that I thank you. Sometimes even I forget that there are those whom are still good." And wasn't that the truth. "But I digress, for fun I do love to take time to enjoy natures beauty. . . or, when given the opportunity, to visit my family back home." His smile was slight, almost self-deprecating. How silly of a grown stallion to miss the gentle voice of his mother, or to see his brother and sisters once again.

"And what of the lovely lady? Might I enquirer what it is you do for fun?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 05, 2009 6:12 pm

Wooooow. She wished her family was of a honorable demeanor. If anything, she was probably from a far and opposite side of the spectrum. But hey, every family was different! She was learning that from every creature she met in the land. "Oh no no, you aren't conceited at all. It'd be hilarious if you met the others in my family. Until then you won't understand what conceited really is." She winked at him lightly and felt a laugh leave her mouth in a bout of enjoyment. "But your mother and father sound very interesting and impressive, and I can tell that you take after them well."

When he spoke of saving others and assisting a mare, she tilted her head to the side and wondered what that meant. First off, that was another impressive thing that the stallion did because he was obviously a good individual. But the act itself rang a bell in her mind. "Wait, so you spend your time helping others? I once met a mare who's life involved just that." Appropriately enough, a blonde curl bounced out of her eyesight as she tilted her head with a pout. "I wonder if that's the same mare..." If it was.. then what a small world it was! "And there will always be good to overshadow the bad. Well, that's what my dad has taught me at least." And he was a wise one with that! And she never stopped believing such truths as well.

She watched him carefully again as he continued on with some details he enjoyed. So, he was definitely a family-kind of stallion, and that was nice. He had a good appreciation for nature too. "I love going and hanging out with my family as well. I think it's important to spend as much time with them as possible!" she grinned with a usual beam and wiggled her wings at the breeze.

"My list of fun activities would probably be too long. I love to find fun in... everything! Like right now, I am having fun because I have met such an amazing stallion." she lowered her head politely as if giving a mini-curtsy. "But I guess you could say that I love flying on a warm-breezed day, dancing in the rain, napping in flowers..." she quieted herself then and closed her eyes with a bit of reflection. "But most of all I love interacting with others, and meeting new friends. That's the greatest blessing I could ask for!" And, hopefully today she could make a new friend in him!

The unicorn gave a chuckle at the young mares words. "So there is a spot of vanity that runs in your genes, is there?" He questioned gently, his words light and full of good humor. He didn't want her to think he was judging her kin, but he did quirk an amused brow. "Allow me to be honest, m'lady fair, I can't say I'm surprised. If their beauty mirrors your own than I feel they have quite the right to be proud of themselves." He wasn't playing a flattery card, nor were his words woven out of a desire to please. He was being honest and straight foward with Pascale. She was a beautiful mare, that much anyone could see. She inherited her looks from someone in her family and he could only imagine. . . A family with blond hair, purples, reds, and whites. Quite interesting combination's of colour, really, unlike his own. It was easy to see his family consisted of mostly white soquili. . . . The only variation of colour was his own blond but faded locks.

Two ears pricked when he spoke of another mare who was also on the path of assisting others. The stallion did grin at the mares enthusiasm, as well as her curiosity. "There are many who devote themselves to good," he assured with a grin, "If the mare you met were an angeni by name of Kaiya, than I would say you had the honor of meeting my mistress." It wasn't that Galahad doubted coincidence, but the world was far too large. The chances that they were speaking of the same mare were slim. . . and he doubted the spirits would be that meddling!

"Family is one of the greatest blessings a soquili has. Though I choose to stray from Islagiatt and my parents, I look forward to the times I can maneuver home. I cherish those moments the most I think," he mulled out loud, giving another chuckle and swish of his tail. Part of the stallion wondered if he did his father proud. . . he was a warrior of sorts, just not the 'leap-into-battle' path his father took. Crousader was a tough stallion to understand. . . which is, perhaps, why he found himself following after his mothers heart.

"Well it sounds, m'lady, as if you're never long without fun." Compared to her, Galahad was quite certain he sounded like a square. . .and a dull one at that. The serious nature of his work often exhausted his soul; too frequently he felt drained and in need of introversion. Fun. . . Heck, even as a foal his father had instilled a need to train and fight. Wrestling with his brother soon lost its enjoyment as his father encouraged them to use tactics and game-plans.

Fun wasn't something Crousader understood. . . as it was, it wasn't something Galahad had frequently met. But he was having fun now, wasn't he? Enjoying some down time at the shore of the ocean with a friendly face and personality in tow. "A stallion like me could almost be envious. . . . I fear, at times, I'm a bit of a workaholic." And wasn't that the truth! Kaiya was frequently teasing him about his inability to enjoy himself if he wasn't working. He felt idle, listless and seemed to fear he wasn't doing enough or coming off as lazy. . .

The world wouldn't wait for them, he'd argue. But the world also wouldn't entirely succumb to evil if he took a day or two to truly enjoy himself.

She waved her locks at his compliments and felt a usual flush develop in her checks. Oh, she loved being complimented. But she took compliments differently then most, and rather reflected them back towards her wonderful family. They were what allowed her to flourish and become who she was, so she always gave them the credit they deserved in her heart and mind. "Well thank you." she finally said, while bouncing her head with a smile. It was a very nice compliment, and she was endeared for the moment indeed!

When he admitted that he too had spent some time with Kaiya, Pascale let a giggle erupt from her mouth. "I have had that honor! She is a wonderful one and I am glad you spend so much time with her." And hopefully he took good care of her, too! From their last meeting Pascale was nervous that Kaiya was by herself too much. But if Galahad was there, then maybe that meant she'd have a smile every now and then?

It was nice to hear that the stallion was a family guy. Pascale knew that one's character could be judged well on how they took to their family. "Well I hope you get to return home frequently?" She was obviously oblivious to the situation he had with training and strength. From her point of view, he looked like a normal stallion, just a bit stronger than most. She never would have guessed that he wasn't someone who had their bout of fun every now and then! Well, until he admitted it of course! And her response was one of surprise and confusion.

"Goodness, a workaholic? It seems we have a problem, then." she wisped some hair out of her eyes and took a moment to think out a usual Pascale plan. "You and Kaiya, I swear!" She gave him a chuckle and looked around at the quiet beach before them. "Well, since I am here in your services, what would you like to do for fun? There has to be something in this land that has always caught your eyes!" Everyone had dreams or moments where they could feel their fun come out. "I will make it my personal goal to give you a fun day. As long as you want it!"

The pale stallion was amused at how the spirits were showing themselves. It seemed as if both Kaiya and he were in need of a little spunk and a lot of fun; why else would this mare have the honor of meeting his own mentor? Somehow it seemed like a ridiculously small world for two soquili to meet the same mare on two entirely separate and quite random occasions.

"Well then it is an even greater honor to meet you," he added, green eyes bright with amusement. "I'll admit, Kaiya and I have been apart for a good while. She and I typically travel together, but as of late she took to the skies to handle some a few personal matters. I haven't seen in her to have heard of such good fortune in meeting you, a most blissful lady indeed, but I do hope she was well."

Those who met the pair frequently confused them as mates. . . .but their relationship was entirely platonic. Galahad had met the angeni as a young soul in need of guidance; and though he looked fondly upon the angeni, he saw her solely as a mentor and friend. Her heart was her own to give away, and she did to each of the souls she fought to save. Romance to Galahad was something foreign, something he had yet to discover and something he was unsure he'd ever find. He was a stallion that frequently traveled. . . . it was doubtful any mare could have the patience to be with a knight so continuously on the road.

"I don't return home as frequently as I might wish," Galahad admitted with a little shrug. "Kaiya's on a mission to save the world, one soquili at a time and I help her on such a quest. But it makes for many a long day and not a lot of down time." He wasn't comlaining, merely stating it as a fact. Chuckling lightly, stamping his cloven hoof in to the sand, he added, "Furthermore, I doubt my father would understand if I were to increase my yearly visits. He'd dub me idle or lazy, no doubt, and I'm quite sure consider me weak for finding need to be close to home." Though the unicorn loved his father, Crousader was terribly difficult to fully understand. "It's probably for the best I'm away."

Turning his green gaze back upon Pascale, he listened to the friendly mare. She certainly was the most upbeat and outgoing soul he'd ever encountered, and her joy was strangely addicting. She was a youthful spirit, a glamorous soul that was without vanity and conceit. A rare one indeed. . . . and one he was glad he was given the opportunity to meet. "A fun day, you say? My, my, my . . . The lady is far too generous with her time~!" And he offered her a cordial and courtly bow, though his eyes danced with good humor. "I would hate to burden you, of course," he added with a slightly more serious tone. "But if you have an afternoon to spare I . . . I would quite enjoy a spot of company. But as for fun. . .as for something I've always wanted to do . . . . Honestly I'm at a loss. Fun wasn't exactly in my definition of work nor my fathers upbringing." So what to do with Pascale. . . ?

Oh goodness, Galahad was not in a position to decide. He genuinely hadn't a clue.

Pascale was surprisingly quiet as she let the stallion speak. She wanted to learn more about him, since his life was so very different than hers. She didn't feel the need to interrupt him like she usually did to others on habit. She wanted to keep listening and listening. And so far she was completely enthralled with the information he was sharing.

It sounded as though his life was somewhat difficult. There were no complains or doubts in his voice, and she could tell that was only because of his personality. Galahad was much too strong to moan about anything in his life. Instead, he just accepted everything for what it was and lived. Pascale didn't understand how someone could do that! Especially... if their life was truly more difficult then they gave themselves credit for. It must have been hard to travel so much, and to not be able to see one's family. She was so very spoiled. She never realized it until this very moment.

"Please... my time should be spent giving you some fun." she kept her face light and happy, although she was still feeling a bit deep from realizing so much. She spent her days playing and frolicking with never a worry in the world. Sure, there were dangers. But they hardly crossed her path! "If anything, you are indeed the most deserving of my time." Such was so very true...

She broke her own train of thought when she noticed him stressing over what to do. A usual laugh molded into her expression and she shook her head lightly. "Well you know, fun would be anything that makes you laugh, smile... gives you energy!" she glanced around the area and knew they weren't in the finest of areas. "Let's just wander about and see what we can find! In this land you never know, you may find a strange creature or plant to laugh about, or you may just enjoy yourself along the way." Either way... she hoped to give him a good memory. Hopefully it would be one he could remember in the hardest of moments.

The pale stallion, like his mentor, hadn't had an opportunity to meet such a free spirit as Pascale. He had grown up under the serious hoof of his father, Crousader, and while the knowledge and art of war passed down to him was wonderful. . . . it meant he and his brother had been expected to live a bit of a serious life. They were the first sons, after all, and part of Galahad wondered if his father ever felt disappointment in the paths his sons choice. Tiarnan himself seemed to follow in his mothers foot steps as a healer, while Galahad took a different approach towards the salvation and protection of the world. Though he could fight and had trained hard as a colt and young stallion, Galahad used his art only during times of great duress and necessity. He didn't consider himself a warrior. . . . just a good hearted soul.

But saving the world, or at least assisting in saving the world didn't mean there was much a chance for relaxation. Kaiya didn't pressure him to follow her, in fact it had been his decision entirely. He walked with her because, for now at any rate, she needed someone to look after her. Angeni she might be she wasn't a honed healer; not of physical wounds, at any rate. Her talents lay in saving the souls, it was Galahad whom helped defend her against the most vicious and violent of hearts.

Thankfully, despite having such a serious job, he felt a sense of purpose in his life. It was his calling, his destiny for the moment, and it was carving him in to quite the upstanding champion.

Smiling over at the lovely maiden beside him, part of the stallion couldn't help but pleased by such sincere attention. Her attitude was refreshing, so full of light and life and a genuine care for all. Truely, outside of time with his mentor, Galahad couldn't think of anyone whom he'd like to spend more time with. . . . Life had been a bit monotonous and lonely without the Angeni at his side; getting out and kicking up his hooves, hypothetically speaking, might indeed do him some good.

"I am most unworthy of such a mare's good humor and patience, let me assure you, m'lady!" He chuckled, dipping his head in a playful bow. The most deserving of her time, so she thought. . . well, he was quite unworthy in the grand scheme of things. Of all the places she could discover, of all the soquili to spare an afternoon with, the pale stallion was quite sure there were many much more sociable and interesting than he.

"Suffice to say, I will do my best to push aside my cares and worries and enjoy such delightful company. No matter what we might stumble across, I'm quite sure we'll have a good time." Picking up his slow walk in to more of a trot, the stallion tilted his head questioning at Pascale, waiting to see if she preferred to lead or follow. He was gentlemanly enough to give her the option and choice; it was always as the lady wished, or so he firmly understood.
